Omaya your results were exactly what you should've expected. A mix of West African, Native and Iberian because your mom is from Venezuela and 99% of the people there are a mix of those ethnicities, and then the North African and Greek from what your dad told you.

I got a 19.4% North African and it is supposed to be from my grandfather from Islas Canarias. I’m Cuban and my results were 58.8% Iberic, 19.4% North African, 10.4% Sardinian, 2.7% Finnish, 4% Nigerian,2% Middle Eastern , 2.7% Mediamerican and Andino!

Like Chileans and Mexican are almost 100% Native American because although Spaniards were their rulers they didn't mix well, just in some communities. They just speak the language.

His genetic test is literally the most interesting one I have seen. For him to have 0% Asian and so little European, it's sort of mindblowing. But it's cool seeing how, because of his background, his results are different. I'm Mexican and I'm currently waiting for my own results. I've seen videos by other Mexicans and we tend to be Native American, European, and African, mostly.

Captain America I never said he should have Asian. I just said it's interesting to me seeing people who don't have any, because I'm surrounded by people who have some percentage. And a lot of the people on UA-cam that I've seen who have done these tests have had various combinations with varying amounts of Asian, European and so forth. I've never heard about what the results are like for Egyptian people so it was interesting to see. So TO ME, seeing he had zero of certain groups was cool and eye opening. He's closer to Asia than a lot of Mexicans yet a lot of Mexicans have had some Asian in them.

I think it might come under something else! My family are from Malta, but that doesn't come under Southern European.... Southern European is just Italy and Greece on this test.... I have seen Sicilian though, which Malta might come under.... Tunisia might be the same....

Sometimes, white nationalists who get these tests are really happy to see that they have little to none non-white ancestry. But in most cases, they get mixed results and realize their stupidity. So, I think it is not so black and white. (Pun intended.)

I was not surprised at all it was almost exactly what I thought I was, my family kept decent records of their history, even the .9 percent middle eastern jewish or mizrah, lebanon area. My last name is in the Jewish surnames but no one in the family has been jewish for hundreds of years probably around the 1200's. Somehow they ended up in the Finland area so I ended up 99.1 percent mix of scottish irish, english, scandinavian, north western Europe - German , dutch, netherlands, france area, and .9 percent middle eastern.
Greek are normally not blond, blue eye and fair-skinned, but olive--skinned with dark eye and hair!
I don't have olive skin, some us do some others don't.. I'm not surprised that her grandmother had blonde hair and blue eyes, I know many Greeks with the same features.

Yes, we tan a lot but not all of us, also there are so many Greek people with green or dark blue eyes, myself and half of my family included. I don't agree with Angel either, fact is we have always been paler than the rest of the Mediterranean countries, our blood has been mixed throughout the ages, but still even now, you don't meet all that many Greek people with darker skin. It just depends on how easily you tan and how long it stays.

Your mother is Venezuelan so it's pretty normal you have Spanish, ( maybe Portugal), black African and indigenous (Native American with small eyes) in you. Venezuelans have this mixture and that's why they look so beautiful :)

If you're from Latin America you will definitely have Spanish ancestry. No surprise there. I did mine with 23andme and got this:
80.7% European (mostly Iberian and Northwestern Europe)
8.3% Native American
5.1% Sub-Saharan Africa
3.3% North African/Middle Eastern
2.6% Unassigned.
I might try Ancestry in the future to compare the results.

I was as shocked as you when I found out my ancestry!
I was always told I was 100% Salvadorian but I knew there had to be something else in my blood because my maternal grandma had light hair and light eyes, same with my mom she has a pasty white skin, my father on the other side is more dark skinned and that’s mostly how most natives from my country are! My results came back and I’m 39% Native American, Salvadorian, 3.2% south East Asian, 40.3% European, which broke down to 22.2% Portuguese, 15.4% Italian, 2% British, 0.4% ashkenazi Jewish, 0.6% French. I had 6.0% Subsaharan African.2.01% west Asian and North African! That being 1.3% Arabian. The rest of my DNA could not be determined!

Your iberian peninsula probably comes from your mom because most latin americans are a mix between european and native american (and some have african as well)
I love her reaction to her results. Being a part of so many countries is a good thing. I don't understand why people sometimes have their mind set on one thing. When people don't get what they were expecting and get upset. Is a bit sad to see. It shouldn't change who you are. Instead it should make you aware that we are more connected than just color and looks. We are not different.

I recently took my DNA test and got my results a week ago and I’m very mixed too. I have Native American, Spanish, British, Italian, Sardinian, Africa North, Cameroon Congo, Mali, and European Jewish as well. We’re all a beautiful mix! Much Love ❤️
