The DJ was trying to get him to bad mouth his brother and call him a shit head or something and Colin rose above it and went the more classy route by saying “hey I don’t agree with everything he does but I still love him”. Spoken like a close brother. I’m the oldest of 5 and I have a couple siblings that are the extreme opposite to me just like Colin and Chet, and we all love each other. And we hang out and talk. It’s a sibling connection. I may comment about them the same way Colin does, but that’s a tight sibling is all.

Wow! Just finished listening to a 2018 Chet interview. This family must be amazing. Even with his bad pr and drug days he can’t say one bad word about his family. Now I listen to Colin and he’s amazing and supportive too. Tom, Colins mom and Rita are amazing parents! Congrats Hanks family!

That's a loving but embarrassed older brother right there.
What this tells me is that they didn't have the same reality growing up. I understand that. My issues with some of my siblings are not the same or equal to my siblings' experiences with each other. The same can be said for experiences with Parents and how they prepared you for life. Often the older child will have more guidance than a younger child. Parents tend to get lax as they have more children. They get less protective and feel more overwhelmed. It's not a crime. It's a reality and sometimes that reality grows up to have issues that need to be reconciled. Exactly what Chet is doing. More power to him and God Speed.
