Absolutely f'ing AWESOME!!!! More originals please! Keep e'm coming. Hey guys, if you are seeing this video and love this stuff, make this go viral! Post this video all over the cyberverse. This young man needs to get discovered and sponsored and known worldwide. Am I right or am I right? You know I am! Just incredible. Everything you hear in this video is Forest Goddard. He is not playing along with another band or guitarist; it's ALL him.
It's people like this who make it big, creative thinkers people willing to put time and effort into the things they do people who are committed to working and gaining a skill. Keep it up, maybe more originals, maybe Perifery, maybe Polyphia up to you, I'm down for whatever. You got a new sub
Recently got this guitar but its not yet delivered. Are you still using the factory Gauge strings ? Cause for Drop G I think the Factory ones are not thick enough. Subbed btw
Thanks, and congratulations! I'm not sure what the factory gauge strings are since I actually bought this guitar used, but I'm using 10-64 in drop G#. Maybe a bit loose on the 7th string, but it works for me. For drop G I'd probably up it to a 70 or something though, and maybe go up on the other strings as well. The 26.5" scale definitely does help with tension a little though
Would love to hear your thoughts. Thinking of selling my rg8 and getting this Beast. I probably won't be able to get my hands on one before I buy it so I want to be careful to make the right decision
Sure! I have never played an RG8, so obviously it will be difficult for me to compare the two, but I can tell you that I am still in love with this RGD a year after getting it. I also am much more of a fan of passive pickups rather than actives like the RG8 has, and this has a nicer bridge and locking tuners, so I think it would be an upgrade as far as spec go. Of course the biggest difference is the number of strings, so if you feel like you are done with 8s or just not as drawn to playing 8 string material now, a 7 is a good choice. And the 26.5" scale will help if you decide to tune down into the 8 string sonic range (I'm sure this guitar could handle drop F# if you set it up right). Really it's up to you and just depends on your preferences, but I like this guitar a lot and almost always recommend it
Forest Goddard I really appreciate it man thank you! Yeah I think that I may be done with 8 string playing. It's wonderful to hear that it's a Specs upgrade from what I have, as that is what I suspected. I really appreciate your insight, and glad that you still enjoy it even after one year of owning it
I'm debating between this (6 string though) and it's rga iron label surreal blue burst brother, same pickups but I like the look of the rga better because of its white pickups but this one is ash, and I like the bite of ash better than the warmth of mahogany, any imput?
I haven't played that exact RGA but I'm sure its a great guitar too so it all comes down to personal preference. I personally really like the 26.5" scale length of the RGD and I like the bevelled look and the polar top, although some people don't. Pickups can always be swapped out if thats your only issue. However I see that the RGA also has a coil split, which I think is a really nice feature. You'll probably be happy either way
Thank you! Yeah I love it, I think its a fantastic guitar. Obviously it looks amazing, and it sounds and plays really good too. The specs are really unique, so if you like them its hard to find another guitar thats comparable
Thank you for your answer ! :D I've tested the 6str model yeasterday et found the neck too... thick, like "C" profile :/ Does the 7str have the same C profile or more a D (almost flate back neck) like the IBANEZ RGAIX7FM ?
I haven't played the AIX, and I haven't played the 6 string version of this guitar either haha so unfortunately I couldn't compare the neck to either of those. I will say that I think the neck is a bit thicker than my premium RG920. I think it's somewhere in between a c and a d profile probably. Personally I like it though
Oh shit, Ibanez betta sponsor my man right here
I fucking pray for that lmao

If this is your first attempt, then you have a brilliant future ahead of you, if there is any justice.
Thank you so much man, I can only hope you are right :)
I have NO doubt of that!
really wish your rhythm tone was better the section at 1.00 is beautifully written! this is great overall just need the tones
Yeah I was pretty inexperienced with recording when I did this, it's not even double tracked lol. Maybe I'll remake it someday
Erra + Polyphia = win

Thanks dude! As of right now I don't have a soundcloud or bandcamp, but once I have another song or two I'll make one and upload everything there

Yeah, any time dude! If you end up getting one I hope you like it!

Yeah ima go for the 6 string rgd, bigger frets, ash, combines for a great tone
How is the bridge on this guitar? Im thinking about buying one but im used to having a Floyd
I personally prefer fixed bridges to Floyds, but I think this bridge is great, very solid and comfortable
Hi nice cover! You dont use Axe FX?
It's an original song, and no I did not use the axe fx for it
Verry nice play !!
Gonna buy this one next Friday !
Could you please say few words about this Ibanez beauty?
Thank you! Yeah I love it, I think its a fantastic guitar. Obviously it looks amazing, and it sounds and plays really good too. The specs are really unique, so if you like them its hard to find another guitar thats comparable

Wow!! Who's on the drums?
I actually programmed all the drums myself, so theres no actual drummer haha, but I did my best to make them sound good! Thanks!
Put song to download mp3 pls
I'm thinking I'll make a soundcloud / bandcamp page soon!
Subbed, liked, and uploaded to pornhub
