    This is beautiful..thanks! Question, Will cold liquids sweat through the glass and compromise the epoxy since the mason jar is not double walled?

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  3 роки тому +6

      Condensation occurs on the surface of something, not through something. Sweating won’t occur between the glass and epoxy because sweating is a reaction between the outer environment, not from the inside out. My mother in law has been using a glass mason tumbler I made her 3 years ago and still going strong. This is a common misconception 😊

      Because it's not a double layer cup like the stainless cups are. That's what I was always told when I got started making cups. If I'm wrong then great😃😃😃. I was just genuinely curious. I knew you wouldn't do an unsafe tutorial but just wanted to know.

      It’s totally fine. You can epoxy a drinking glass, plastic cup, vase, etc. Basically anything. Of course if you drop it it’s going to break like any glass item. Plus your drinking through a straw. Some people worry about putting their lips directly on the epoxy.

      I’ve epoxied on plastic wine glasses and the only issue I have is that it sweats but it doesn’t damage anything. Double wall tumblers reduce sweating which is why people prefer them.
