@@madebymal_studio we gonna get along great 😂😁
This is BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you so much for sharing. Do you have the video of your process to coat everything with the resin?
Thank you! Yes! I shared the process in my popcorn topper video ☺️
You are too cute ! Love this tutorial ❤️
Absolutely love your video!!! But I am curious can you tell me what font you used for the “Removable top” please ☺️
Love love love this!! I love that you can remove the lid! Making some summer cups now with your techniques! Could I use a little of my Alumilite epoxy to cure the ice when it's all placed? Or would it need to be the uv resin?
Thank you! Yes! You can use regular epoxy to seal your toppers, doesn’t need to be UV! 😊
How do you resin them they are beautiful
Great video! Question.. what size are the magnets used on the topper?
Hi. Love this video. Thank you for being so detailed on your instructions. I was wondering for the rare earth magnets the link is for a multi sized pack. Do you which size you actually used ? I would like to try and find a bag that sells only that size. Thank you
Thank you! Yes - I used the second largest size from the multi pack :)
I love that you used glitter on the topper to match the cup. I have just been making mine clear. Your idea makes more sense. Loved that you put things down with hot glue and then went over with resin. It makes things go much quicker than applying a few pieces of ice at a time with UV. Anything that makes life easier, right?
I am all for making things easier! Lol thank you for watching! ❤️
I would love to see how you seal the ice, could I use Crystalac to seal it? I’m scared of Epoxy
I need the spray can i spray glass mason jars as well ?
😲These cups are AMAZEBALLS! 🤩 Your tutorial was AWESOME SAUCE and easy to follow, thank you for that!!! I'm going to try it!😊 Question, do I need two different type magnets? I'm in Japan and we don't have a dollar tree and they don't ship to me plus shipping minimum is I case of 36 packs .😔
Thank you! 😍 Absolutely not! One kind of magnet will work just fine! Just make sure they attract to each other and you’ll be set!
First time watching your video...loved it! A quick question, what kind of epoxy and resin do you use and where do you get it? Can't wait for another video!
Thank you! I use A Little Extra Inc epoxy :) you can get it at aleshine.com 😊
I'm kinda new to this, but how do you seal with resin?
These are some of the best I've seen!! Question on the Mason jar cups- are the lids a metal that the magnets will stick to on their own, so you could just glue magnets on the topper part?
Thank you so much! Yes- the rare earth magnets stuck to the metal lid, but the hold wasn't super strong. I don't think you'd be able to just do magnets on the coaster and leave the lid as is. Just depends how strong of a hold you want!
@@madebymal_studio thank you!!
K quick question. If someone isn’t I swing the topper on the tumbler how do you get the sliding piece back on?
❤️❤️
Hi Mallory!
haha hi!! best name evaaa!!
How do you seal it with resin? Just pour it on the top?
To cute
Great vid. How much do you sell the toppers for?
Love your tutorials. Quick question about the cherries. The description on amazon says they are made of durable foam. Do you drizzle epoxy over the cherry? Any concerns with washing the cherry?
Thank you! Yes - I epoxy them. I haven't had any issues washing so far!
So beautiful!! If I were to make these how much do you think I could sell them for?
Love your videos!!
Thank you! That all depends on your area & costs! I'd say add between $5-$15 on top of your cup price for the toppers. Never sell yourself short ❤️
Did you use the forest green chrome or a different color?
These tumblers are gorgeous. I am new to this and l love how detailed your tutorials are. I looked on the PDB site for theses colors: Lemon Meringue, Southern Belle, Sunset Blvd. Are there any other colors close to these I could use? Since I'm new to this I'm not sure of all the colors!
Thank you! 💗
PDB restocks every Wednesday, so hopefully those colors and the ones similar will be restocked soon!
We're do you get your glitter
Where did you buy the lemon and the cherry
Love this tutorial! I'm allergic to epoxy, so is there an alternative product to seal the topper so water doesn't get in-between and under the ice? Thx
I'm not sure! I'd try using crystalac, but I'm not sure how that would set up in this circumstance. I'm not too well versed in epoxy alternatives. Sorry!
If you add Crystalac in thin layers and allow ample dry time, it would work fine.
Beautiful work! I've been eager to try resin tumblers. What do you use to hold the tumblers while working on them and what spins them while applying the coats of epoxy?
Thanks! I have an MH Turner (but my first ones were just from Etsy). And I use foam inserts from Amazon with the wands that go with my turner!
@@madebymal_studio Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to trying some of my own.
is there a video on putting the resin on the ice? I am super new to this so I just want to make sure
Yes! I showed how to seal toppers in my popcorn carton video. I do it the same way for ice toppers :)
I noticed you used two different kinds of magnets but there is only a link for one of them? Thank you so much for this tutorial It was fantastic
Great video and thank you
Yes! The other ones are from the dollar store. I’ll check & see if they’re available online & add a link! & thank you!
Where do you find the spare tumbler lid to pop the slider out?
I just order extras when I order my cups!
Where did you purchase the fruits at
Amazon! They’re linked in the video description.
My topper isn’t flush to the lid, it sticks up and you can see the magnets. What am I doing wrong, any suggestions please?
i made my first one but i didnt do a removable one i seen the video late but know that i have it glued to the lid would that be a problem? do i just epoxy it and should it be ok?
That should be totally fine! Yeah I would make sure everything is sealed with epoxy and you should be fine :)
Love your tutorial. Questions for the tumbler topper, are you able to used the little part in the middle with the the ice lid?
Thank you! The slider in the middle of the lid will still work if you place the magnets in the right spot!
Tfs❤
I love this idea! I'm wondering how the hot glue would hold up in a hot car in Texas though :-( I want to try this so much!
Thanks! I would use maybe UV Resin instead of hot glue & then seal with regular epoxy. That should hold up in the Texas heat! 😊
@@madebymal_studio when you seal with regular epoxy, do you just drizzle it on top? Do you have a video of you dealing at the end?
With the lid that you removed the middle on do you reapply it? If not does it leak?
It would probably leak if it was tipped over. I don’t reapply it but I do send an extra lid for this kinds of orders
The uv resin you used is it the hard one??
Yes, its the UV Hard Resin from PDB :)
If i don’t have epoxy, is dish-washer safe mod podge good to use? 🤔🤔
I wouldn't use dishwasher safe mod podge over glitter, but you could use it to adhere the glitter! If you dont want to use epoxy, I'd recommend trying Crystalac. Its non-toxic & cures similarly to epoxy so you could use it for this whole process!
I’m not sure how you coat the entire top with resin?? Do you just float coat it, Paint it on? Do you suggest the Uv resin for the coating or regular?
I go over sealing the topper with epoxy in my popcorn topper video :) I prefer to use regular epoxy but you can use UV as well.
Is the mason jar double walled???
Yes 👍🏼
🥰👀🥰
I would use the thinner magnets and not the thick ones
yes - since I made this video I've found much better magnet options lol
Where did you find the mold for the tumblers? Thank you.
For the toppers? I used a car coaster mold I got on Etsy!
@@madebymal_studio Thank you
I would love to know how to epoxy over the topper. How easy is it since it is so uneven and has the pieces jutting out?
Its pretty easy! I use a silicone tool to get the epoxy into all the little crevices. I show how I do it in my Popcorn Carton video - same process 😊
Thanks for the quick reply! 😍
Is the CC the same thing as Brite Tone?
CCDIY is epoxy, so if you're epoxy free you would use Brite Tone instead!
Thank you I’m so glad I asked.
I tried this and my topper sits up high the magnets making it sit high
Yeah :/ that’s one of the reasons I prefer to do permanent toppers, and just send an extra plain lid with orders! It’s all personal preference though.
So cute but a lot of work!
Thanks! & yes- but so worth it!
Id advise against hot glue especially in warmer climates if your not gonna epoxy over the entire topper. Hot glue melts very easily n your topper will be destroyed. I know most crafters know this already but beginners out there may not.
Great tip!
