Given how volatile and temperamental Pridak is, I'd have picked someone who is good at getting angry on command. Someone like Fred Tatasciore, who played such characters as Megatron in War for Cybertron. Ironically, given his cold and almost emotionless manner of speech, Khan would've been a better pick for Kalmah.
So incidentally the story behind Khan as Pridak is a long and weird one, but to boil it down to its basic roots, me and my friends have a generally agreed-upon headcannon that Pridak's species were both culturally (slightly) and also linguistically hispanic. So as a result, I was looking for Hispanic/Latino actors that played particularly menacing-sounding villains, and while I played around a little bit with the idea of Giancarlo Esposito's Gustavo Fring from Breaking Bad as the voice of Pridak, it didn't seem quite right to me. In retrospect, I think Khan works much better as a pre-mutation Pridak, back when he was an elegant king and not a rabid shark monster.
@@reginaldgickington4793 Wouldn't mind seeing a list for other non-team villains, like Roodaka or Toa Tuyet. Given Tuyet's insanity and tendency for violence, I imagine her being played by someone such as Grey DeLisle (or Griffin), given her role of playing violent and/or crazy characters like Azula.
I cannot recommend the stop motion Bionicle Ignition 2 fan film enough. All the voices in that sound perfect: Carapar does sound a bit like Tartarus, Ehlek has a creepy scratchy voice, Takadox is both soothing and unsettling with a voice much more fitting than Davy Jones, Mantax sounds pretty close to Hugo Weaving’s Megatron, Prydak is vicious and harsh as he should be, And Kalmah…omg it couldn’t be better because he sounds like Count Dooku from the Clone Wars.

A shame that the same cannot be said about the voices of most heroic characters.
Was not expecting Green Goblin for Ehlek, but it works. For some reason, I always imagined Mantax having the deepest voice and Carapar being more mid-level in pitch. (I.e. swap their voices) Kalmah was spot on!
As far as I'm concerned, the voices for the Barraki in Ignition 2 _are_ their canon voices. Their voice actors consistently stole the show every time the Barraki were on screen in that.
It's best to leave out any voices featured other than the headcanon voice lines so as to not confuse anybody of which voice is being used as an example
kalmah and carapar are spot on but for ehlek id imagine him having a voice simular to acid breath from ben 10 growing up i always mistook takadox for a woman (why i did so i a long story) so my headcanon voice for takadox is that voice a lot of anime femme fatale characters would have
@@o.m.p.h.4483 for me the reason i mistook takadox for a girl is becasue growing up i was always under the impression that bionicle characters that where blue were female (except for when they weren't)
This video got me ideas of Green Goblin vs Davy Jones (Osborn may have the pumpkin grenades, but Jones has the Kraken, I would LOVE to see a vs like this) and back to the video, these are nice… except I’m not too sure about Pridak’s voice….
Headcannon voice this, AI voice that, everyone knows the REAL Bionicle voices would just be electrical buzzes and bubble sounds when they’re underwater, duh
My take on the Barraki's voices: Pridak - Fred Tatasciore Kalmah - Corey Burton Takadox - John Kassir Mantax - Patrick Seitz Carapar - David Kaye Ehlek - Tom Kenny
I think Takadox should sound like an old heavy smoker. Kalmah... I feel like Trevor Belmont works as his voice Ehlik I agree with. Mantax probably a more timid voice. Carapar's tartarus tones should really shine when they meet. Pridak... Hugo Weaving. Which basically means bay verse megatron.

Pridak shouldve been James Spader I think
@@reginaldgickington4793 I'd say Bayverse/WFC/FOC Megatron would work well for post-mutation Pridak due to his violent temper.

I'd say that Kalmah sounded a _lot_ like Scar from The Lion King!
Takadox was very well done in the ignition 2 movie
I always imagined davy jones' voice with Kalmah, Takadox sounded like that orc in Return of the King that finds Frodo and says "This fella aint dead".
"Not dead?"
These kind of videos are fire I love them
Huh. Kevin Michael Richardson as carapar is interesting. I always imagined him as antroz. But someone else said Keith David was a good antroz.
After watching Noah productions' Bionicle City of lost i cant imagine Calmah voiced by anyone other than Corey Burton
I wasn't expecting King Robert for Mantax, but upon hearing it, I can't imagine anyone else. It fits a bit too well xD.
I think ehlek should sound more feral/animlaistic, and pridak's should be more deep/sinister but commanding

I feel like TFP starscream would be a good pic for takadox

In fairness every matoran and toa thats blue is a woman

pridak should be that orc in two towers that says "what about the legs, they dont need those"

Pridak would never be so eloquent like that, He’s volatile and prone to aggressive outbursts. You would need someone who can bring the rage.
Nicolas Cage

All of them fit, except for Pridak. The guy is way too volatile.
I think ehlek had to have a more forked sound (i dont't know is it called in the same way in english or not)
My take on the Barraki's voices:
Pridak - Fred Tatasciore
Kalmah - Corey Burton
Takadox - John Kassir
Mantax - Patrick Seitz
Carapar - David Kaye
Ehlek - Tom Kenny
Ehlek is basically angry SpongeBob with lightning eel powers

It maybe me but I imagine Pridak to be Wagner Moura

Don't suppose you've seen Ignition 2 from NoahProductions?
I have indeed! Definitely an interesting project.
YES
IMO Carapar doesn’t even speak
