  • My Walk to Remember (Diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer) Today I am telling everyone my story on how I got diagnosed with cancer. I have been knowing for about a month already and it's been very hard for me to do more youtube videos with out being emotional. I still plan on continuing to do more, so please subscribe and I hope you can follow me on this new journey. I want to talk about it because eventually you will be able to tell after starting treatments. I wanted to post it because I mostly want people to be aware of the symptoms. I want you guys to stay healthy and prevent this from happening to anyone else or urge someone who has similar symptoms to go see a doctor. This is a new chapter in my life that I am ready to fight... Thank you for everyone who has subscribed and I appreciate every single one of you 💜 #cancersucks #imakickcancersbutt

      how early should a young person start colonoscopy as a early detection or preventative measure?

    • @roxie8700
      @roxie8700 3 роки тому +5

      @@laturista1000 ?:? It used to be age 50 that you started doing Colonoscopies to check for pulps or tumors. But in the last 20 years or so more younger people are being diagnosed with Colon Cancer.
      1) Know your family history. Is there any family members who have had Cancer? What kind and how old were they. That's very important information. If you have a history, see if your insurance will let you start colonoscopies at age 40. But if you have bleeding, have change in stool or trouble going to the bathroom, see a GI Doctor asap.
      2) Know your body! If things don't seem right, talk to your doctor about it! What might seem like nothing to you, might mean something else to your doctor.
      3) Alot of Pharmacies have a at home Test Kit for Colon Cancer. It tests to see if there is any blood in your stool. Not sure if you need a doctor's script for it or not. Check it out the next time you are at the Pharmacy.
      When in any doubt, talk to a doctor! You can also Google a list of Colon Cancer Symptoms Online. When found early, Colon Cancer is completely treatable!

      The fight is one of faith in Jesus alone to heal. That will bring about complete healing with no help from man/medicine/science. Anything but, or plus, faith in Jesus alone... voids out His power (to heal).

      Hi Vicky, I understand where you are coming from. I do. But I don’t think she meant if in a bad way 💙 a lot of things can come across wrong through text than in person. I don’t like others putting each other down. But I understand. Be kind to each other 💛

    • @purebride8600
      @purebride8600 3 роки тому +17

      You are correct, I did not mean that in a bad way. And I would not have the faith in Jesus alone to heal if he had not spoken to me in an Audible Voice back in March 2000. He said, There’s divorce… There’s sickness… There’s poverty… Because people don’t trust Me’.
      I know according to the scriptures that when Jesus walked the earth, he healed ALL who were sick and oppressed of the devil. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever more. After they were healed, he would tell them it was their faith that healed them. It’s his power that heals us via our faith in him to heal. It’s impossible to please God without faith (in Him alone), those who come to him must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. He hears and answers the broken heart cry from the humble who recognize the need for him alone.
      God is faithful and true and NOTHING is impossible for Him. So when I pray for people, I pray that their faith would not fail 🙏
      Trust Jesus 💟

      I had thyroid cancer at 28, had my thyroid taken out and then had radioactive iodine treatment. Quality of life sucks sometimes, but I would never in a million years compare it to colorectal cancer. I lost my mom to colon cancer (stage 4) at the same time I was diagnosed with the thyroid cancer.
      There is a reason they call it a “good cancer”. Unless it’s anaplastic thyroid cancer it’s curable and very treatable even at advanced stages. I had absolutely no problem getting pregnant after having my thyroid removed and being put on thyroid hormone replacement treatment. Thyroid hormone adjustment during pregnancy was also pretty straightforward.
      I can’t say the same about cancer survivors who had to deal with far more aggressive cancers, such as breast and colon cancer. They go through so much more!
      That being said, I’m wishing you Vanessa a swift recovery and lifelong remission ❤️

    This year has been so hard. My mom woke up one night in August and said she had the worst pain in her leg so I told her please go get it checked out thinking it was a blood clot because she has had them before, then she was finally able to get an appointment in September, we found out she had stage four cancer but they couldn’t find where the cancer came from because it was already spread through her whole body. Then on October 23rd I had tested positive for Covid and I had a really bad case of the virus, then on November 3rd she was put on Hospice, I was finally cleared of Covid and I was able to bring her home to me which I was officially her nurse then she passed away on November 10th. I felt that I was robbed of not being able to spend more time with her because I have the virus but I did get the last 5 days with her. I slept by her every single day until she passed and just held her hand. It’s just been so hard this year. My mom was only 66 and her bday is December 2nd. Just had our first thanksgiving without her which was so hard but I know she is no longer in pain, but it still hurts. I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. I know how scared you must feel and the pain you must be going through. You are a mother so I know that must be one of the hardest things like how do you explain this to your babies. I will keep you in my prayers. I wish you the best in your journey.

      I also had one for a year, it is nothing to fear! You just have to make light of it. I once woke up and realized mine had popped in the middle of the night and horrified I glanced over at my boyfriend at the time (I was 21) and he was wearing a white shirt covered in liquid poop! I tapped him on the shoulder very lightly, he went to turn to me and I put my hand in his back and said sheepishly, "I dunno how to tell you this, but my bag popped and your vack is covered in dodo" lmao. He rolled outta bed tryna look at his back and I could NOT stop laughing, which then made him laugh and it is one of my fondest memories still now that I'm 32 lol. I would overslept a few times that caused my bag to break, or be running laughing at my mom to bring me a new bag on the way to the bathroom.
      My aunty now has had a colostomy bag for years, she's 78 and is more active than I am! And they have new bags that release air gradually so you don't have them burst.
      No one treated me different at 21 with it, and I know it will take time to get used to the bag but if it means saving your life, don't worry about it!! 💜💜💜

    My testimony; I was diagnosed with colon cancer as well, but I didn’t go to any procedures. I put all my faith and trust in the only God that is alive Jesus Christ and nature, yes I turned to Jesus and changed my diet to 90% vegan, lots of green juice, lots of vitamin C in capsule and intravenous and apricot seed and in capsule. Few weeks later a colonoscopy was done and nothing was found to Jesus be the glory. UA-cam has many great videos to fight any deseas naturally, but trusting in Jesus is the most important resource. understandable that you are emotional and anxious. Because you are not in control right now . But soon you will have your plan and what method the doctors will use . The anxiety I hope 🤞 you will have lots of support for . Waiting between tests for answers. But like you did in your video, you will take a deep breath gather yourself and keep going.
      I pray you will have good news and you
      will let people help you. And ask when you need it . Make sure you always have a great friend or relative with you to advocate for you. I think you have done an amazing job remembering all of this .
      And that you had it together to go get an
      appointment book . I am so sorry you lost your mother . My mother is 96 but
      she is definitely not as strong as she was last year. I am so fortunate to still have her . Sending you a big hug . Prayers for strength and healing.

    You’re in my prayers sweetheart, my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 bladder cancer in November of 2019 and has gone through numerous rounds of chemo. His last round of chemo was in July. The cancer shrunk from the inside of the bladder but grew on the outside so his dr’s decided that my husband needed surgery to remove his bladder completely which took place on 11/19/20, as I write this comment he is in recovery for the next 5 or more days. He has to use a bag to collect his urine now for the rest of his life. I have to be taught by the nurses how to clean and change his bag. On top of raising two daughters at home (distant learning) I will be caring for my husband for the rest of his life or as long as I’m here, it’s a long recovery and a long road ahead. I just want you to know that I understand what you are going through, just pray always pray and stay positive. God has you in his arms giving you all the strength possible to get you through this rough time. If you ever need to talk or vent off camera I’m a good shoulder to cry on. Can totally relate :-( So sorry to hear, and as hard as it is; try to remain positive and laugh often! On 24th December 2018, I was diagnosed with end Stage 3b Colorectal cancer, a month after my own mom was diagnosed with end Stage Metastatic Breast cancer. I was still trying to support her when I got my own diagnosis. That was in 2018 and after 28 Chemo & Radiation treatments, I still ended up with a permanent Colostomy and full APR surgery in 2019, as they found 2mm of cancer under the radiated scar tissue that the CT, MRI and PET Scan missed. Have had 2 subsequent surgeries and still fighting to tell the tale. Don't give up and #StayStrong. My mom unfortunately passed in Jan this year, at 82. By that stage she had the metastatic cancer, a broken hip, broken arm, broken pelvis and clavicle and nothing could be done due to her age. She was so courageous throughout and only went into Assisted Living two weeks before she passed. It still amazes me that she managed to get around, see to herself, make her food, bathe herself etc. with all that she was enduring. She wanted to maintain her independence for as long as she could. I'm so glad you were able to catch it early and YES; listen to your body. If you feel something is wrong, then have it checked! Much love, healing and blessings to you xxx

I also was 27 when I was first diagnosed with colon cancer. I had a sub-total colectomy & a j-pouch fashioned at the time, it was an incredibly scary & unknown path but what kept me grounded was listening to my specialists & not being scared to rely on family & friends. I’m now 54 & ended up having to get a permanent Ileostomy about 4 years ago & though daunting at first, it quickly becomes a part of regular life. I sincerely wish you all the best...my thoughts will be with you. xxx

I had a brain tumor removal about 20 years ago and I feel very blessed to be healthy as of today . I know how hard it is for you. Keep strong and you will get through this, have faith in GOD🙏 and everything is going to get better. I am sorry that you lost your mom🥲 that is painful. You are a beautiful strong woman for sharing your story I will pray for you 🙏😘.

    OMG ThankGod for your Gastroenterologist 🙏 your vid came up on my home page , my husbands first wife died of Cancer on his Daughter’s 21st Birthday 😔 then at the same age her mother contacted it, the unthinkable happened and his Daughter was also diagnosed , and battled with it for 2 years , was eventually told there was no more they could do 😔 her whole world just caved in , 😔😔😔 single mum to 3 small boys 😔😔😔
    That was six years ago , now her eldest boy has done brilliantly at his exams and the 3 of them are fantastic young men , sobered more than most children for having gone through this with their mum , understanding more than most the need to hold tight on to loved ones and live each and every moment as if it’s the last 🙏 as has their mum who completely defied drs and beat her cancer ( rectal like yours ) like you she was young and strong and that will help you so much !!! Please stay strong and positive as much as you can, but don’t beat yourself up when you need help !! We are all behind you and we all care I promise you ♥️♥️♥️

I will FIGHT this and WILL beat it. I'm SOOOO HAPPY she beat cancer! She is a strong woman. Her boys are so smart and will do great things. Just like their momma. Thank you again for sharing. 💙 I wish all of you health and happiness.
