☀️ The Good Life - 03/03/2024 (289) - Work obituary

- Day 289 - Yumiko went through her clothes last night, yielding three big bags to give to charity. She further tossed out a whole lot more of our precious family photos. I didn’t even bother to check which pictures she’d selected to discard, the more to the trash the better! Our lives are lightening quickly now every day. Becoming less heavy, less of a burden to life. Just now, my dear wife is writing her own work obituary; a document listing all of her job tasks and the steps needed to get them done, something to leave behind for whomever will take Yumiko’s place soon at the coalface. I did the same thing last year, documenting my own dear job upon a SharePoint page within the corporate intranet to leave behind like a digital tombstone: “Here lies an anonymous project manager-these are his work tasks and his work ways, are here are his deliberate and efficient job processes. May he at last Rest In Peace.”
