It was good, but I wished she would have prayed for herself. She was alone and had lost a baby, she had undergone so much pain and shifting the focus so much on Peter did her a bit wrong I think. I had such a hard time connecting with her character because she is losing a lot of personality. Too selfless, you know. It works for the scene, but realistically I think it would have been better if she had prayed "Don't let us go." I even think it would have worked better if Peter had been present when they lost the baby. This whole marriage quarrel was painful to watch. I thought he had little compassion for his wife and if they wanted to depict him mourning his child so much he should have known of his wife's pregnancy and looking forward to being a father. They could have really shown him struggling uniting family with following Jesus. They missed a chance there.
I can agree to disagree with you on this one. The main idea was simply to get The Walking On Water scene and for Simon to come to terms with following Jesus even with everything doesn't make sense which is a classic character trait assignment that's listed in the Bible. The information about the marriage in the miscarriage and those things aren't necessarily in the Bible so that's just fodder and I think the main idea was to have it resolved so that at the end of the day Simon was committed to Jesus more than anything else. But that's just me.
That and Simon just holding on to Jesus and saying, "don't let me go" touched me to my core! I found myself praying that through tears all the way home.
I think the point with them showing Eden praying for her husband instead of herself is because we as followers of Christ are to reflect Jesus’ character. Jesus throughout his ministry prayed for others. Scriptures in both the Old and New Testament tell us to pray for one another. Job 42:10 “And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” 1 Timothy 2:1 “First of all, then, I urge that supplicants, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,” James 5:16, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working”. I think they were showing Eden was following the scripture of old and following Jesus example by praying for others before herself and in this case it was for her husband. I personally think the scene flashing between Eden and Peter represents the healing that can take place as we pray for one another. Peter may not have seemed like he was praying, but he was seeking Jesus for answers for the pain and loss that he didn’t understand. I can only imagine this is the struggle that couples who go through with such a painful loss. Men tend to want to fix things or have answers and in this scene Peter had neither, so he sought out the only one who does. At least that is what I got from the flashing scenes between Eden and Peter. As for the walking on water and Peter sinking, well it symbolizes what happens to us followers of Christ when we take our eyes off Jesus and don’t put our complete trust in God. Matthew 6:33 “ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
I know that Dallas did not want to attempt this scene but God used it to make an impact on many lives. Thank you for the risks you take to bring God's word to life.
It does not matter how many times I watch this scene,it gives me goosebumps, then the tears follow, then I pray out loud! God is good! He will not abandon us no matter what we’ve done. Dallas, crew, actors and everyone connected to The Chosen, please know that you all are saving souls in this sinful modern times.
Me too, and I can't control it. I tried not to tear up, but it doesn't work. I don't get bumps but my eyes just drip tears. I know that these are just actors and the scene is not the real event, but I also know that it really did happen, and I think back and wander into the mind of Simon Peter, and just imagine how he felt when he lost his faith and began sinking. And then I can imagine that feeling when Yeshua pulled him up, and asked him why he doubted. I also have compassion on him because at least he was the only one of the twelve that had enough faith in the first place to actually get out of the boat and do it for however many steps it was, until he felt the fear again because of the rough seas and the boisterous wind and got his eyes off of Yeshua. I hate it when people try to think that it was an allegorical example for us to use when our faith is faltering. It is narrative because that's the genre of the chapter, and I know that there are spiritual components to the account that we can learn from, but it really did happen (and I know that I have said that already, but it's worth repeating.)
@@TheChosenSeries Yes, the entire series has been a mixed bag of emotions and spiritual lessons. Even if there are additional stories added, and character qualities or attributes that we don't read anything about in the Scriptures. I understand that it's not supposed to be an exact depiction of the Bible narrative, but even though there is a lot of artistic licence being used to tell the gospel stories, I don't think that it's a sinful act as so many people have been in an uproar about. I remember Dallas explaining that right from the start so that people were advised to not use the program as a substitute for reading and studying our Bibles. I don't know what God's judgement is regarding the additional stories and details to make this program entertaining and provocative enough to make people thirst for the whole word of God. There are hundreds of people (if not more) who are unhappy with the added side stories and additions to the Bible. I have seen comments on every episode and it appears to me that many people have been brought closer to God in Jesus' (Yeshua Messiah) tenderness acted by Johnathan Roumie. He seems to have a tender heart and that is a necessary characteristic of our Lord.
What a huge challenge! How the actors - especially Jonathan and Shahar managed the crazy floats and dunking under the water is just amazing! Not to mention the rocking boat, the noise, the constant rain. Wow! Absolutely amazing! ❤

I cried, prayed, thanked and praised Jesus all the drive home from the theater that day. The storyline leading up to that scene was gut wrenching. Watching the surrender of anger, sorrow and utter despair, running back into the bosom of Jesus is something we can all relate to. What an amazing scene. I cry all over again every time I watch it. That scene is EPIC. Steven Spielburg couldn't have done it better. Bravo to the crew!!!!❤❤

This had to be my favourite scene in season 3. Matthew 14:28-31. It has always been a favourite passage of mine. An over-confidence in ourselves that leads to God having to lovingly humble us, His children that by His grace leads to us relying on ourselves less and less and relying on Him more and more
Such a powerful emotional scene. How many of us during our life has been to a place of complete desperation where we know unless the God of heaven and earth intervenes, our loved one will die, we will lose our marriage., We will lose our wayward teenager, and so many scenarios, there is no other hope. Every time I see this scene and Simon is calling out to Jesus, and then pleading, “Don’t let me go!”, it makes me just weep. Jesus is our life line. In my 74 years, I can think of so many times I have cried out to my Lord. St this moment, our family is going through a situation with a family member and I know that unless Jesus intervenes, there is no hope. Everyday I pray, “Lord, there is nothing too hard for you.” And I believe that. One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 43:2. Jesus is always there. He just waiting for us to surrender the problem to Him. He’s ready to intervene and help. Once again, I say with a thankful heart, thank you Dallas and everyone that’s involved. Your hard work and efforts are so appreciated and life changing. Much love and prayers for your continued journey.❤️✝️🙏🙌
This one scene.. I would say.. will go down in history as one of the most perfect re-enactment of that moment in the Bible... All others I've ever seen.. were never as moving as this one.. Thank you to Dallas.. and the actors.. as well as the crew and video people.. You performed a real miracle..
I don't really know how you can transform a situation in a pool in such a cool vision, but I enjoyed the final result so much. Great job, all your efforts were worth it.
I'm late to the viewing of this show but I just saw this episode last night and this scene was just brilliant, so intense. Finally, the conditions were there for Simon's anger to crash and for the grief to pour forth. I think we all have some amount of stagnant grief bottled up somewhere deep inside us. I had tears in my eyes, not enough, and I'm looking forward to the second watching down the track.

God is so Great! I cried when they showed this. Just like God helped with "The Ten Commandments" he's going to do the same with "The Chosen". I got my tissue ready for Season 4! Keep doing what you were called to do Mr. Dallas, Great job!!!😇🥰
A truly beautiful and powerful scene which was crucial to Peter's walk, I believe. I often think why would Peter take his eyes off Jesus, but the holy Spirit reminds me we do this daily when we sin.
This scene the entire episode this entire show but this scene in particular is very near to my heart I appreciate you all so much for creating such magic ❤❤
I just started looking at this show and it is awesome and when i seen this seen this scene i just started crying to see what i have read play out it was AMAZING keep going!!!🙏
I still can’t get over how realistic they managed to capture this moment. Every other movie or depiction had Jesus just kind of there walking on what was clearly a puddle of water but you guys seriously had him balancing on whole waves. Excellent scene and the emotional build up just blew it out of the water.
Wow!!! It was always hard for me to imagine how this miracle happened, and though I know this isn't exactly how it was this scene has helped tremendously to visualize Peter walking on water, held up by his faith! The picture of Jesus lifting him up when he fell was a beautiful reminder of God's love for us, and how He will always lift us up when we fall. Love this show!
This scene was beyond and wrecked me, it was so beautiful and so real. How can anyone after seeing Jesus on the water when it happened, not have believed. God Bless the entire cast and crew for an outstanding creation in film. PLEASE do the Transfiguration and Ascension!!! LOVE THE CHOSEN!! Amen!
This show makes it feel like we get to live life with Jesus. Thank you for making such a great show. The actors, production team, writers etc, you're all amazing. Thank You Jesus

I also love how Jonathan looks around and those waves aggravated and was like be quiet!
This one scene.. I would say.. will go down in history as one of the most perfect re-enactment of that moment in the Bible... All others I've ever seen.. were never as moving as this one.. Thank you to Dallas.. and the actors.. as well as the crew and video people.. You performed a real miracle..
We appreciate your kind words, Clay. Thank you.
Still makes me cry even knowing how it's done.
Us too, @kg5miko.
Thanks for joining us on this journey, Carl.
Even seeing this how it was made..I still sobbed😢 I could watch it a million times plus more💓
Completely understandable, Susan.
@@TheChosenSeries Thank You for your response.I appreciate what you guys are doing.God chose an awesome group of people to make this series💪😁Im telling people that I'm in love with Jesus!!!Lol
I learned so much more about the apostles.I never really read the Bible because I had a hard time understanding it
Now I'm reading the book of John the baptizer and I can finally relate!!!
"Don't leave me" in my mind I was screaming the same with Simon Peter 🙏🥰
This scene made me BAWL my eyes out😭 I love the show and I can’t wait to watch Season 4!
God is so Great! I cried when they showed this. Just like God helped with "The Ten Commandments" he's going to do the same with "The Chosen". I got my tissue ready for Season 4!
Keep doing what you were called to do Mr. Dallas, Great job!!!😇🥰
Thank you Angeli Studios for the Chosen and The sound of Freedom! You are really an enrichment to this world !
This always makes me cry, I don't know how many times I have cried "God, please don't let me go"
I CANNOT wait for more EPIC scenes like these in season 4!!!❤
We will do our best, Jeni.

Such an impactful scene, thank you for bringing it to life.
This show has brought me back.
If there was ever a scene worth going for, it was this.
Absolutely incredible. Filled me with zeal for Jesus.
Absolute divine-inspired genius!

Oh I can’t even……….not without crying ❤ it’s so beautiful! Dallas, you tricky bugger 😂
I still can’t get over how realistic they managed to capture this moment. Every other movie or depiction had Jesus just kind of there walking on what was clearly a puddle of water but you guys seriously had him balancing on whole waves. Excellent scene and the emotional build up just blew it out of the water.
Great video. Loved this episode! Great job Y'all!!

The tough test of faith ! Amen. Well pictured.
Anointed!🎼🕊✝️🕊🎼
Did anyone notice that this is 3:33 long? :D Love this scene, yes you had to do it!! Thank you!!!
Matthew may have edited it, @Trasea. 😉
"They had to use those " things" Lord, but You didn't." 🤷🏻♀️😆 True but being silly. This was such a powerful scene!!!!! 😭😭😭🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️
Amen!
This was one of my favorite scenes, it shows the wonderful power of ou😊r God🙏🏻
