Well, stands are the embodiment of the soul, meaning his stand (don’t know how to do the thing with the stand name so...) “not the bad guy” means he isn’t a bad guy.
Lucy does a Giorno and takes away the main artifact from everyone. Speaking of which, both turned into badass and morally grey versions of their biblical counterparts by the end of their parts.
Guys, you can like a character and not be sexually attracted to them. If someone says Lucy is best girl, that doesn't mean they want to fuck her. She's a well written and underrated character.
I think there are a fair few men who just don’t know how to like female characters without sexualising them because of how they’ve been socialised. I’m not saying it’s as an excuse, it’s still creepy.
I love her so much. I love it when araki writes non stand users like Hayato, Emporio (if I remember right he didn't have a stand untill weather report died), and Lucy. Her chapters were my favorite. The amount of anxiety I felt for her. She has metaphorical balls of steel (haha). She was sold at a young age, was assaulted my multiple grown adults, literally had Jesus in her belly, yet did so much. I'm so glad she got a happy ending at the end. Araki's writing really shines with her.
Her name "lucy" can be a reference to the name of the oldest human's ancestor bones foundt LUCY. Making her the beginning of all that happended now. (I'm french so sry for my very tasteful english)
Lucy Steel is my second favorite Steel Ball Run character. Unlike the main protagonists, she isn't OP, in fact she's very under powered. She has no stand and she's just a teenager, yet she's able to 'fight' stand users. All the scene with her were great except maybe when she turned into the corpse.
Maybe the head doctor is a demon who stole ticket to ride from Lucy on her death bed and has possessed it ever since. I say demon and not rock human because Holly has said he has no true form. Which is interesting to say the least.

I really like Lucy Steel in steel ball run. Literally surrounded by unsavoury people who want to destroy her and everything her husband built, among worse, she threw herself into this insane conflict. She survived several terrible situations through a combination of wit, good fortune and getting the right help at the right time. It was only right that, at the story's conclusion, she ended the wicked schemes of President Valentine by defeating Dio and somehow came out on top. Despite being prayed on by far more cruel and ambitious people. Her inclusion in the story was compelling. While I never felt that Johnny was at risk of dying, and despite his disability, I never felt that he was weak, I always felt some anxiety from her arc with Araki leveraging his horror leaning to bring tension. It shows how strong she is as an individual to enter this story and survive, yet I feel it represents a more real horror in our society. Those influential people, lawful and not, can one day choose a man or a woman as a target of murder or assault, resulting in scars lasting a lifetime on a whim. The absolute horror of this arc was how causal, yet often it reared its ugly head. As a man of the giant statue, I have never felt in danger of being assaulted, nor had I put myself in that position, yet this happens to people in our world. That makes it both horrific and her ultimate victory so glorious; it wasn't the ghosts, curses or Christ's body that was of most significant threat, but the almost incidental nature that Lucy is targetted. Johnny and Gyro might've been the protagonists of this arc, but I feel the story would've missed her inclusion.

I like that Lucy Steel is a woman of action in an unorthodox sense that Jolyne, Ernes, etc weren't- she's a defenseless and normal human being for most of the part with an understandable fear for her situation. However, with her determination and guile, she manages to overcome her situation and deal the final blow to the last enemy despite it being a power that's usually unstoppable unless a similar deus ex machina is introduced. You don't have to be a badass fighter to be a strong heroine, you have to have strong virtuous traits in spite of the disadvantages set before you and be able to grow as a person rather than just skills.
