Another cool thing that ties in with Abbacchio’s hatred (with Giorno) is his theme. In his theme you hear a lot mixtape and electronic noises, but the cool part is when they play a small part of Giorno’s theme. I think this probably represents how similar young Abbachio and Giorno were and how Giorno is always a reminder of how he once was. After that Giorno’s theme is warped almost akin to how Abbachio innocent life was completely changed after the Cop incident. Maybe I’m looking to far into this, but hey I think it’s cool.

I’m pretty sure Abbachio didn’t even make it to June 15 years ago. It looks like he was killed before that and if you watch him in his final moments he literally uses all of his energy to look at the boss’s face. To me it shows just how strong he was to be on deaths door and still accomplish his mission. RIP :(

Abbachio will forever be my favorite member of Passione. His death is also in my eyes - the pinnacle - of how to write a death scene. His death wasn't just for shock, stakes, or some last ditch effort to write off a character.
The scene of him face his dead partner in the afterlife was nothing short of beautiful and the two of them looking over the gang from the heavens as Abbachio's partner talks about how proud he was that Abbachio found the truth, and how he didn't need to worry about his friends because of the path he paved for them was heartwarming. Abbachio's death had a very meaningful message about truth and was also the catalyst for the gang finding Pierre and defeating Diavolo.
His death was not the end of his arc, but the completion of his arc.

- Blue mirrors Red (I know they aren’t complimentary but they do in media)
- The Moody Blues and King Crimson have similar music in instrumentals and lyrics.
- 「Moody Blues」 is the perfect stand for uncovering the bosses identity, his biggest fear.
- Abilities both have to do with time, but they both also mirror each other (「King Crimson」 destroys future time, 「Moody Blues」 recreates time from the past)

Abbacchio is possibly the oddest character to think about in Part 5 to me. I think started off very strongly, someone who opposes Giorno and is a very cynical person but will get the job done when his head isn't in his ass. Plus, Moody Blues is one of my favorite Stands- very unique for a protagonist to have and is one of the best ways of informing you about Abbacchio as a character. And something that I really appreciate is that the manga doesn't paint him as the bad guy, his POV is logical and makes sense (of course he is still shown up because Giorno has to get his way but that's a rant for another day), and his backstory is very well-done and informs so much about him... and then, he just kind of sits in the background after Man in the Mirror, which is honestly very disappointing. One of Part 5's biggest problems is it having such a bloated cast despite how small in scope and fast in pace the story is, and as a result very few characters really get their due and Abbacchio is one of the bigger poster children for that. He still gets some good moments but it feels like Araki lost interest in writing for him, which sucks tbh. But to be fair, unlike almost every other character in Golden Wind, Abbacchio at the very least gets a genuine chance at closure and wrapping up his character arc. His death isn't just for shock value- he does get to do something for the team as a last "fuck you" to the Boss, and he had the chance to reconcile with his partner and finally learn to forgive himself. It's not perfect but it's better than almost every non-Bucchiarati character gets.

Ah yes finally, my favorite, morally/emotionally relatable character of the main cast.

Idk if this is in the video or not. But I now understand why abbacchio hated girono. It's because he hated himself . Giornos strong sense of determination and justice was something that reminded abbacchio of his past self as to how he once also stood for justice. But he thought himself as a failure and he balmes his past self for his failure . So he sees the same thing in giorno and it reminds him of his past failure for justice. But with that out of the way I still think he had alot of respect for girono cuz he saw a better abbacchio in him. And he thought he was more determined then him. That is why in man in the mirror arc he is constantly trying to tell girono to back off cuz he doesn't wants him to be hurt. This detail imo makes the character soooooo much better and so much tragic and sad. To. I loved his character way to much . I wish he had a bit more fights tho. His death hits to hard with his meeting with his partner.

Abbachio fighting game concept: moody blues can punch and kick like other characters but the main gimmick is that when you do a certain combo with moody blues you can save the combo with a button and when you press it again moody blues need to rewind to when the combo start and abbachio need to protect moody blues while it rewinds,when the rewind is ready you can press the rewind button to do the combo again but this time you don't have to do anything and if you press the rewind button while it combos the combo will be fast forward giving more damage but make the rewind last quicker

Old video, but I feel compelled to comment this. The band Moody Blues has a song named "Had to fall in Love". This is my personal interpretation of the the song, but if you listen closely to the lyrics it does seem to me like it's a song about a relationship born out necessity from the situation, rather than mutual interest from both people. Much like Abbacchio's dependency on Bruno to be his "Anchor" in a way.
I feel like is the one song from the band that fits Abbacchio's story and personality the best.

Beautiful analysis! I didn't like Abbacchio very much at first because of how mean he was, but he is certainly a great character. I loved seeing him come to appreciate Giorno and grow as a person to be less cynical again. His stand is also one of my absolute favorites, and perhaps the best-designed one in the series - it is not overpowered not does it feel out of place considering established stand limitations, but it is one of the most creative stands and has amazing potential for surprise, like the role of a messenger and the pilot trick. (It also has a pretty cool design.) I wish we had seen a bit more of it, in fights and in general, at least as a distraction - although I wouldn't have minded if Abbacchio had shown those fistfighting skills a bit more himself, either. It's a shame that he died, but it is sort of a fitting fate, and the scene where he's forgiven by the other officer provided good closure.
As someone whose favorite character is Abbacchio, thank you for making this.

Bro when this man died my heart sank so bad and I realized I have never felt so sad for a death then this man. I have seen part 5 at less 15x and it still strings. I would love to see part 5 maybe have a few ova's or a side story I feel like it can still have a side story in its own. Or like OVA's of "what if" scenarios like "what if Bruno and Leone stayed alive along with the hitman team (they just got defeated). But what also broke me was when he saw his partner who died and I feel like he need it that in a away to let shit go and to hear from his partner does not hate him at all.
