It looks so similar with the R15 v4 that they made. I was expecting that they'll upgrade the engine into a 450 inline 2 or CP2. But they just redesigned the headlight, put slipper and assist clutch, and attached the R15 or R125 tail

Let’s just vote for new politicians who recognize motorcycles of that type are such a small portion of traffic pretty much anywhere in the world and therefore should be exempt from such stringent regulations. More like (but seemingly too late) don't kill the inline 4 cylinder. An inline 3 has no advantages over a 4, in a supersport application. A 3 cylinder might be better for a cruiser or at best a street fighter, but not a SS designed for top end.
As a bike enthusiast i hope yamaha won't stop making r1 or r1m even the demand in the market isn't that high. Maybe they'll like make a limited numbers of it rather than stoping the production. It'll be rare but I know some will still be buying the bike.

Yeah but it's missing a cylinder. I do not understand the craze for a 3 cylinder (over a proven smoother 4 cylinder) in a supersport bike. I used to have a 2002 CBR954RR. I don't see any modern 3 cylinder being able to out run or out accelerate it. In fact, I bet all of those older, 900cc 4 cylinder 'literbikes' would still keep up with any modern 3 cylinder.
I was waiting so long for the R9 and now I am disappointed. I think the single headlight in the middle doesn't look good. The headlights of the R1 or R6 would definitely be nicer.

@@Primo.Mou27 R3 and R25 are the same bike with the only difference being the cylinder volume and the cylinder itself to save cost. How do they adapt YOUR 450cc engine into a 250cc for asian market? Do you realize how BIG is the difference between those 2? Its very famous here for R25 to change cylinder block into R3 because of how similar they are.
Seeing them side to side like that, I kinda feel sad about the r9 design. It's the most fitting package to my needs, and the platform feels like it should be perfect... I just really cannot bring myself to like the design. Esspecially seeing it next to the r1. The new r3 looks great tho...
I wish you would include Brembo brake calipers and master cylinder on the R1M. It makes no sense to have them on the base model but not the premium model.

@@VBMichael_Dnot low rpm acceleration. More cylinders are better for top end and also costs, each cylinder adds more parts and make the bike heavier
