Like I always say "skip a generation when upgrading". Even though these may not sound game changing, upgrading from the Pixel Watch 1 to the 3 and from the Pixel Buds OG to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are definitive huge upgrades!
The G5 to be a first of its kind processor technically, so it'll have its issues too so I'm going to get the 9 and then probably get the Pixel 11 or something. G5 might be like the g1 was, it'll be rough at first
I am buying the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, the Pixel watch 3 XL and the new thermostat, and the new Pixel buds 2 Pro in green mint color and the TV stand or whatever is called and also buying the 45W charger
I was excited to see just this evening (Sunday 4’th August) on prime time Australian TV an advert promoting the Pixel Pro Fold. We missed out on Google’s first Fold so I was pleasantly surprised to see the yes Aussie retailers will be stocking their 2’nd Gen fold. I cancelled my pre order of the Z fold 6 hoping the Pixel Fold Pro would come down under, glad to see it is happening.
I'm getting Pixel 9 Pro (non XL) and Buds Pro 2, both in Porcelain! And I'm getting three silicone cases (Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel) and also Bellroy leather cases (black and brown)!
Im eyeing the buds pro 2 if theres a significant upgrade on sound quality and tempted to upgrade my Pixel 7 to the 9 because of display brightness and battery issues
Only getting a bigger watch this year. Holding on to the 8 Pro for one more year. Would love to see a powerful tablet with a 1st party keyboard for productivity next year. Won't go back to a folding device unless the cameras can get close to the rest of the lineup.
So excited for the pixel 9 Pro-Fold. Been doing a lot of research on foldables, while some may have a little more power or slightly better screen, none of them has the functionality of a pixel phone. I've owned a pixel 8 pro since it's released, and I love the subtle but effective AI features such as talk to text adding pronunciation and call screening. Can't wait to have all of those features in a full size foldable phone😊 I am pretty bummed out at the sharp flat edges. My pixel 8 pro is so comfortable in the hand, and I've always thought the newer iPhones are hideous with their sharp edges and boxy design😢
Pixel 6 Pro here... it has been a while since i upgraded but my phone still runs very similarly to my brothers iphone 15 pro. October 2024 will be the last performance update so I can expect it to start slowing down shortly after...
I purchased the Pixel bud A at launch, and they were decent. They completely died around the 1.5yr year mark. But what I hated about them, was they easily fell out of my ears. So hearing that the new Pixel Bud pro will have a winged ear tip, peaks my interest.
I want the form factor of the first too and may still get it my last pixel was the 6 and I currently have the iPhone SE so either way it’s a upgrade (for me) in that sense
The only thing that worries me are the AI features that they have to lock to the 9 /pro series but also they shouldn't because the pixel 8 series should get them because what's the point of the amazing new software support if the new software features won't get released to it? But then what would be the marketing reason to buy the new pixel 9 phones if these features could be available to the pixel 8 series?
If it wasn't for the smaller phone this year and the ultrasonic finger print sensor, I would have probably given it a miss. However I am considering that green Google Pixel 9. Love smaller phones and though I have loved my time with the Pixel 8 Pro, I will always prefer more compact phones. I just hope we get a decent trade in price for it.
I'm happy with my 8Pro, I might be interested in the PW3 XL if it has swimming stats on my wrist. It's time we had new wired Nest cameras for outside with improved definition, Google are great with phone cameras, let's see some of the magic in the Nest cameras.
Im excited! Plan on grabbing the Pro XL, Watch 3 (45) and hopefully the streaming box if revealed. Crazy I was waiting for the Nothing Phone 3 but they're not dropping this year so 🤷🏾♂️
Pixel 6a, Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Buds A owner here. I'll probably get Pixel 9 Pro or Pro XL + Pixel Buds Pro 2. If the launch discounts are not that good, I'll wait for Pixel 10 series. Pixel Watch 3 looks great, but I'm happy with Pixel Watch 2 features and size, but UWB is tenting.
Everybody hating on the Pixel 9 Series lol like Nothing Phone 1 didn't start out the gate with the boxy phone design... anyone got anything else to say stop hating and get you a Pixel 9
Maybe will get the Pixel 9a, but otherwise skipping the 9 series to look forward to TSMC, but may skip its first generation, so maybe see everyone when the Pixel 11 comes out, lol. Gonna sit out on the other devices. Long live OG Chromecast!
Honestly, I cannot think of a more boring task than analyzing existing google products and speculating on when they will actually get decent charging speeds or an acceptable price for midrange hardware...
Their foldable are 3 years behind. I don't understand why are they wasting their time releasing it? They should come up something massive better than foldable 6 to even be considered. Otherwise nah ill wait few years when they are better than samsung foldables
I wonder what exciting features will get announced for the pixel 9 and Google will choose to not release until the pixel 10, like they did enhanced Zoom for the pixel 8 Pro😮. 😢
They are doing this to get users to upgrade before apple drops their new devices. Google knows they cannot convert iPhone users to android users in the US. So the only thing they can focus on is to ensure android users don't convert to iOS users. Android does well in cost sensitive markets already and Google makes majority of their money from OEMs rather than their own product lines.
Like I always say "skip a generation when upgrading". Even though these may not sound game changing, upgrading from the Pixel Watch 1 to the 3 and from the Pixel Buds OG to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are definitive huge upgrades!
No first party trackers is absolutely baffling from Google.
I think they should take their time and really bake some awesomeness into the final product and not just replicate what the competition "HAS" done!
Well cause they're tracking everything for them anyways.
Still holdin on with my P7. Still pretty doing great. I will just wait for P10
same! P7 owners assemble
@@TheWalkingStalker im using 7 too. im waiting to see the google event if it's big enough of a jump for me to upgrade. if not ill wait one more gen.
I have a p6 and am doing the same.

same !!!!!!!!!
I’ll wait for P15
I hope the 9 sells well but I'm holding out for the 10 with the new processor.
Tens G5?
Me also. Really enjoying my 8pro. Don't really care for AI stuffs
Same here. It will be the first Tensor designed 100 percent in house.
Same

I'm mostly interested in the changes with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the new Google TV, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Buds Pro 2.
Still very happy with my pixel 7 pro and those pixel buds pro. going to wait for the pixel 10

I finally want to pull the trigger on a foldable device as a work/productivity phone. Maybe P9PF will be the one. 👌👌💪💪
Definitely getting the pixel 9 pro XL and the 45mm pixel watch 3
Thanks for this, I'm keenly interested in the Pixel 9 devices, the new streamer, and the thermostats.

I’m looking at the fold and buds
The thinnest foldable in the US is the surface Duo at 9.9mm closed. Love that device and wish that 2 screen phones were more available
Did google forgot to leak the pixel tablet 2 🤔🤔
did anyone even buy the first one? looked like ewaste 💀

Looking forward to the Fold 2, Pro XL, streaming device along with the watch 3.
I'm holding out to Pixel 11 because it's always about THE NEXT YEAR'S NEXT YEAR.
So when do you think they’ll announce Gemini coming to Google speakers?
That charger looks like a pixel buds case😂
No G-spots (tracker tags)? 😢
8P still my fav., gonna wait for 12P
I bought the 7 pro and 8 but the tensor chip and the Samsung modem not being changed made me pick z fold 6 and I couldn't be happier
The Chromecast is still the best streaming device. No ads, no remote, just casting
Pixel 6 Pro here... it has been a while since i upgraded but my phone still runs very similarly to my brothers iphone 15 pro.

I do heavy gaming on runescape, wild rift, squad busters on P6P with my brother, same games.
I would love to have a Pixelbook Go 2 and a Pixel Tablet 2
i hope there's a good trade in value for samsung foldables. thinking about switching to the pixel 9 fold from the galaxy fold 5

How are you finding it?
