I cannot see this grapple without those dentures in place. As you pointed out, lop sided lifts and carries are inherently dangerous, and these dentures will most certainly lessen if not eliminate that safety concern. Great share! I would definitely buy the dentures with the grapple having now seen your demo with them in use. Very Helpful video!!!

Bottom jaw puts a lot of pressure on pins and locking clips on quick hitch , using as a fulcrum , have seen costly damage caused by pulling clips through qh

I'd probably want to have that stability piece on the rig but I guess you were concerned about the overall weight of this attachment? It almost looks like this claw would fit a larger tractor & that it was the maximum for your tractor. IDKnow jack about tractors or their attachments but I like looking at mechanical tools & the work involved. peace
It looks like you would not be able to pick the stuff up high and dump it into a truck or whatever. It hardly can roll stuff off of the lower jaws onto a low trailer because the lower jaws don't tilt down enough.
Mike Taylor Brush crusher 4200 is about $1,300 and added teeth about $400. You may have dealers in your area that prices may vary higher or lower. For example it appears Good Works Tractors now carry them.
I consider it a very useful tool. It takes a little practice. I think a hydraulic grapple would probably be a little quicker maybe more precise, but the Brush Crusher works well for the applications in my videos.
looks like a good addition. how do you like them overall compared to a standard grapple? You must be in the banna belt. we have a couple feet of snow on the ground!! I didn't see the end before asking how they compared. good video

henry wilkinson - a open jaw bucket needs a 3rd function hydraulic. The John Deere 1025r comes with 2 hydraulics. You have options to add a 3rd, but all options are expensive. Lowest I have seen is $700 for a diverted kit if you install it yourself.
Someone was concerned about wear on the FEL arms. Attach a piece of Delrin plastic sheet (1/4 thk.)under each arm. Has good wear quality and self lubricating. I guess you could also lube the arm although this could attract and retain grit.

It does scrape off the paint. I try to use only enough presser to clamp and hold what I'm lifting.

Check the 3 loader tower mounting bolts. I think they are loose on your tractor.
I'll do that today, I'm changing all the oil and fluids today.

It does take some finesse when unloading on to a higher pile, but it get the job done for me.

What is the weight comparison between this grapple and your original bucket? 48 or 53 inch in comparison?
I have a 53" bucket and the grapple with the dentures are about 25lbs heavier.

Ok thanks. I’ll keep tuning in on your projects. I’m still torn between something like this or pull the trigger on a hydraulic grapple.

We're in Norther Ohio. It has been very mild so far this winter and we are at a deficit for snow. I am chomping at the bit to use my plow though:).

I thought about using some large refrigerator magnets.
