  • Some controversy as of late on different forums for a particular attachment. I give my take on the Brush Crusher that some say are damaging their tractor. Then I put it through it's paces and maximize its lifting potential.

Agreeing not to use any more pressure on the crusher than necessary. It's like braking a vehicle. Common sense is the key.

Merry Christmas Tom to you and yours. I always enjoy your videos. Watching several videos on the brush crusher because I have been cleaning up my woods for 3 years now but every one I watch 90% of that work I do with my forks and my ratchet rake. I have decided not having one saves me storage space lol

Good morning from Michigan. We have some ice fog we’re dealing with this morning. Those grapple attachments are great and save a lot of work. I see your old shed is still standing. Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe

The perfect example of the limitations of the brush crusher was when you were trying to get the stump moved, but in the end it handled it 👍🏻

My BC on my 1025R hasn't caused a problem with the pins. I did bend one of the tines and had to straighten it out. That was my bad when I didn't properly clamp a long tree and got it jammed up trying to get it out of the woods. Brute force is never a good idea. I was a lazy dumarse and deserved that. Else its been a great tool. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I have bent mine in the same way, tho it did not interfere with it's operation. It's also easy to bend the tines if you grab too tight with the hydraulics. None of that has bent the tractor which is the most important thing to NOT bend! I left mine looking snaggletoothed. :)

Merry Christmas Tom and Karen. You produce a very nice informative product. Thank You. The Brush Crusher looks like a very well engineered affordable product. Like any tool, we must stay within its limits. I got the smallest Frontier AV20 when I purchased my tractor. It was put in the financing so the pain was distributed over time. Nevertheless, I probably would have gotten something like the brush crusher if I already had a tractor.

Good morning Sir. That was a good workout for the Brush crusher. While I have a Frontier Grapple, I have not seen anyone have a problem with the crusher. I have only read of a very small percentage having issues. Thanks for sharing and I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.

If I had to guess, the people who damaged their equipment was using the brush crusher like a root rake, which it is not

I love mine it is great. I have a 2 series and it saves lots of time and effort. I have not notices any damage to my tractor or bent pins. I abused my brush crusher and it has preformed well. Is it the perfect attachments no if I had hydraulics there would be better options. You work with what you have and yes I would buy one again. Small branches do get got up
Sometimes and it is frustrating a that moment but I take a deep breath, get of the 🚜 and fix the problem
When you thing about it sure can save you time and work and it can move a lot of stuff quick. Sure is fun to work with it

WELL IT LOOKS LIKE YOU DONT HAVE TO PUMB IN A THIRD FUNCTION TO RUN A BRUSH CRUSHER THAT WOULD BE A PLUS IF I’M CORRECT 😎

I have been wanting to get a grapple for my tractor. From watching many different UA-cam videos I've learnt you need to balance the load you lifting. You looked to be doing this but I'm not talking about the lifting I'm wondering about the diameter of the logs. If your the size is not same diameter, I would think this would out more stress on which ever side has the smaller diameter. I'm just supposing this might effect the pins on the jaws of the crusher, not the loader itself. I'm sure you'll get this resolved. Merry Christmas

Another great demo of the tool. I seriously considered a Brush Crusher, but all the videos I watched it didn't seem to be able to lift high enough for me; I went with the electric from Worksaver. When you mentioned switching to the bucket and chain I was thinking the pallet forks might have been a better choice, especially since it was upside down at that point and looked like an easy pick.
    Merry Christmas.

This is specifically why I’ve steered away from buying one for mine. I also didn’t like that it forces itself right against the loader arms. With that said it would work way better than my forks do.
