"It's not gonna win any academy awards for special effects, but it was okay, it was fun"
Honestly a lot more movie producers should aim for this
I felt so bad for Shrunken Head Bob. He didn't deserve what happened to him.
He died so young! 😭
😂should left like everybody else did
I know right 😢
nbs
Same :/
There's also a bit of darker context with the Soul Train element. The conductor is supposed to be Don Cornelius- the creator and host of Soul Train. He lived a long life but eventually committed suicide in 2012 because he was unable to deal with his declining health.
So Soul Train now being a literal train for souls with Don as the conductor is Tim's way of adding in both that reference and keeping in line with the idea of people who commit suicide ending up as civil servants.
Michael Keaton is in his 70s now, and still has boundless energy. As a child, it genuinely baffled me that he also played Batman.
OMG same. Even as an adult it doesn’t make sense to me.
That baby was the scariest thing ever
I feel like both baby birth scenes are more traumatic and disgusting than anything Beetlejuice can say, those scenes were insane
I loved the Trainspotting reference with the baby!!!!
I loved it 😂 it was my favorite
Dead alive
With the amount of uploads LME has been doing lately you would think he must have bought a new car or home or something
Yeah but finally tho!!
Death happens, but life is harder. No truer words have been spoken.
I love that Shrunken heads were hired because they cant say beetlejuice 3 times
The Carrie dream sequence made me so happy once i heard the song
I grew up with Beetlejuice. It's still difficult to grasp that a sequel was produced.
I felt like at first Astrid acted more like Jenna's portrayal of Wednesday. Also I had a feeling that Jeremy was gonna be a bad guy because he was played by the same guy who played the twist villian in Wednesday.
Earlier than Bobs death 🙏
i love the first movie, and love the musical even more, so i was honestly surprised how much i enjoyed this one! the plot had it's overcomplications and some of the jokes missed, but overall i loved the humor and heart, and i had a good time watching it
I hope there is a 3rd one just to show Lydia in a better more healed light
I can’t say I LOVED the movie as a kid cuz I don’t remember watching it but loved the reruns of the show on Teletoon Retro 😂
I think it would make sense not to have the 2 original ghosts. Assuming not getting to raise kids was their unfinished business, if they got to raise Lydia, i feel like their business would be done at some point
It was a really fun movie
MICHAEL KEATON IS BEETLEJUICE???!!!!
@1:56 you completely blew my mind!!!!!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 I have been in love with the original Beetlejuice for decades and not once did I notice Adam added the hole to the bridge. Wow! Thank you so much for this video. Just that alone has me joyful. 🤗🥰
Beetlejuice is my Jam.
I found out who Marie Curie was and that she researched radioactivity through the show 9-1-1, and a few weeks later I had a personal laugh while watching the movie when Astrid dressed as Marie Curie for Halloween.
You didn’t learn about her in school??
@@woodyhitya I've been out of school for just over 10 years now. I could have been taught about her but I don't remember. I heard of her on 9-1-1 about 4 weeks ago, so recency bias wins out.
You got the whole damn movie
Sven-goolie is an underrated joke.
Justice for Bob 😢
I agree that the Lydia storyline, and Lydia herself felt completely off
So funny when Lydia gets a daughter similar to her teens that torments her. What goes around comes around.
I love your reviews! Keep up the hard work, it slays!
Liiiiiisten. . . I have no idea what the third one should be, i just like the idea of there being a Beatlejuice Beatlejuice Beatlejuice
The Maitlands should show up in the third one.
Catherine O'Hara was the star of this movie! So many afterlife characters were noticeable in the first one but Bob and the Bob minions were the only ones that I liked.
I wonder if Tim ever thinking on making live action of Corpse bride or Night before Christmas with this tone🤔, the prosthetic make up look great ,cgi (if it is) not bad either, Catherine o'hara is the voice of Sally if I'm not wrong.
My only gripe with this movie is that it felt like it had 2 dueling main storylines and because there was 2 of them that neither really had a satisfying conclusion, nor at least satisfying in my perspective.
I mean I can’t be the only one to think the ghost of a murderous teen trying to come back by swapping places with Lydia’s daughter couldn’t have been a good enough story to fill the movie right? And why couldn’t the soul sucking demon ex wife be the main antagonist character for the whole movie of the other?
that fucking chalk zone reference. holy smokes. GG
Her dad is working as a civil servant right… does that mean he killed himself?
The way i took it is that all those who commit suicide become civil servants, but not all civil servants killed themselves
Can they do a Long Kiss Goodnight sequel please??????🙏🏾
Winona Ryder mentions wanting heathers 2,
I think it could work if her one night stand ended in a pregnancy but didn't see signs until after homecoming (when the movie ends) and tries to keep her son from becoming like jd.
Every time you use that background music I get a lil scared but I also like it. 😂😂. Loved the movie😊
Loved the movie hated the ending
This for sure was the best movie of there year, it’s solid! No many continuity errors beside Astrid’s sparse ability to see ghost
Charlie Hopkins was in this? Hell yeah.
LME for Speak No Evil pls, James McAvoy killed it!
This was entertaining, but convoluted story, beautiful Monica Bellucci character was totally wasted in this film😅.
The Bettlejuice baby is all about MERCH😖 LIKE Baby Yoda, Baby Groot.
I thought the movie was fun but like they should have chosen one plot line there was too much going on and they were barely connected. Also I have no idea ol what they should or could do in a third one but I think they are legally obligated to make it now
I love how you did the title of this video ❤❤
I thought the movie was fun but jarring if you watched the first one beforehand. . . I never saw Lydia as a “spoiled but still unhappy teen” but instead kind of neglected until she found ghost parents-she almost ended her life to be with them. . .
Astrid however - her character is everywhere. She comes off as a spoiled rich kid who’s not like other girls, hates her mom but loves the opportunities it gives her - and falls for a random ghost guy the moment she meets him.
The true horror is me being attracted to a woman 3 times my age but it’s Monica Bellucci so it’s fine
i liked this movie a lot
Yeah that ending went on way to long but overall it wasn't that bad
Lydia‘s development made sense, if we take into account, that she‘s Burton‘s stand-in. Lydia having lost her ways, having become exactly what she stood up against in the first movie is Burton & the way his career as a director went.
As for being „more politically correct“ - that was clearly a joke. I can show you 3 scenes minimum where they mock forced pc in this movie.
I thought the movie was OK for what it was. I think the plot was all over the place because there were just so many. I hated that they killed Katherine O’Hara’s character. Her, Danny DeVito(he was so scary lol), and William Defoe were the best parts of this movie in my opinion. I thought the whole ex-wife thing didn’t tie into the movie Well at all and I agree I hated the way they changed Lydia‘s character I didn’t see her as the woman they portrayed her as.
Boo I haven’t watch it yet.
I will be back when I have keep my seat warm!
I’m sorry to admit that I loved this one idk
It was fun!
I’m gonna go see it again. 🧟
Jefferey Jones jumpscare
Films like Beetlejuice don’t necessarily need a sequel. I went to go see it & there was this one scene that I liked through out the whole movie is when Beetlejuice does a monologue explaining how he met his ex-wife while speaking in Latin (I think it was Latin or some other language) that made me laugh & giggle but that’s it, most of the jokes/scenes were really corny & Edgy. The only reasons I can think of why the sequel was made was because of course nostalgia & Warner Bros needs money.
P.S. those baby Beetlejuice scenes were horrifying!
I didn't enjoy the baby Beetlejuice scenes. They were pretty gross and unnecessary in my opinion. The movie was ok but it wasn't funny like the first one.
I love the first one, ive rewatched it so many times. But i really did not like this sequel. I am so disappointed. Way too many different story lines, take out the ex-wife, dead boyfriend, and actor cop, and you still have a movie. The ex wife was there for what reason? All she did was suck souls of a few people and walk around. As soon as she came into the church i expected her and beetlejuice to have some sort of dialouge or fight scene. But no, she just stands there and gets eaten by a sandworm. Same with the murderous boyfriend, the only person who knows he killed his parents was Lydia, Astrid didnt even find out about this plot twist. Again, why was his character necessary? To get Astrid into the afterlife? Im sure they couldev written another way without creating an unnecessary character. It was really hard to find a character to like and care for with so many stupid plots. And i hate what they did with Lydias character, made her annoying and traumatized by ghosts which is the exact opposite of her character in the first movie. This sequel is just a bad case of pc in my opinion, beetlejuice felt soft and not as disgusting or gross as he did in the first movie. Just a bad movie all around. If they focused on one single story line im sure it would have been a lot better.
Everyone take a shot at Disney even Deadpool
Tim Burton hates Disney too? ❤️
I don't know why you are knocking Astrid's shoes. Lidia has always been from a very wealthy family.
What brand was she sponsored by in the first?
@@LetMeExplain Its not branding, but her dad bought a house in the middle of nowhere , and her step mom was a big end artist from NYC. They always had money.
I said they’re rich in the segment you’re mentioning. The shoe brand is a sponsor of the new movie.
I’m confused why this stood out to you out of the 27 minutes.
@@LetMeExplain I did watch the whole video. I took from it a knock on her shoes, branding or no. Its not that serious, we can drop it :)
When are you going to do a LME on Inside Out 2, Deadpool 3, and Umbrella Academy 4? Or is it too late for that?
Gonna time the first two to the Disney+ release and then hopefully Umbrella for October!
How did you get this footage
14:45 I really appreciate the last frame of the this clip which told me EXACTLY what movie this was from. I knew I recognized these white chicks but I couldn't for the life of me figure out which ones they were.
Day O
Keaton is in his 70s. I doubt there will be a 3rd movie.
the sigur ros needle drop was so sick imo
How'd you get away with the Travis Scott background music!? 😅
Love the content bro, what happened to the ATZ show?
Sorry but I had a more fun time with this movie compared to the original
You should be sorry. Atleast now you know that you don't have any taste. Every day you can learn something if you pay attention.

@justinmacmillan1966 it’s assame that this is your first comment on this channel 🙄
Movie was OK, but man was that soul train bit a stinker.
Is Astrid a teenager or college student
Some College students are teenagers
Sha boing boing
The way the actors are talking so badly about the movie…just makes me NOT want to watch it at all…Even they agree that it did not nor go the way it should have
A lot of actors were comedians first
The x wife plot was horrible and went no where.
It’s Good but what a Waste of 36 Years!!!
1:01 not the visuals I was expecting for the stage musical 😮😂
I thought the movie was mediocre, too bloated by too many plotlines in tandem. Would have worked better as a 4-6episode mini-series. But i do agree O'Hara carried this movie.
This movie was a waste of Monica Bellucci
yay im so early!
This movie seems tedious…
it was one of the worst movies i’ve seen in theaters - they should have just released a proshot of the musical
what an awful script, thanks for rushing it
jenna ortega isn't emo or goth and in my opinion, she's overrated...
It wasn't great...what they should have done was made Beetlejuice have some sort of character growth....
Especially growing up watching the cartoon, both Beetlejuice and Lydia were friends...
13:58 oh my god PLEASEE I howled 🤣 great vid!!
16:06 okay that plot twist is from Wednesday, I saw it coming, and that Casper kiss ugh
11:18 She does not get along with her mother 🤔
In the movie "Sandworm, Run!"
Gosh, that sandworm was the best part of the movie!
4:02. I JUST fucking noticed that Joke. Holy fuck. Now I love the OG 1 WAY more than ever now. Goddamn.
burtanisapedoandnecro
13:21 I mean diversity for diversity sake is a bad thing which is what that sounded like, but if diversity is for a story sake and it makes sense then it's fine which idk about The Brady Bunch to speak on which scenario it would take from this
