She gets emotional when the balloon pops because it signifies that nothing lasts, a theme throughout the film for her, how she has these happy moments she's clinging to, instead of learning to live in the moment with whatever time she has left. Which is why at the end of the film, she can embrace it all, she is ready to let go, to acknowledge "the balloon has popped"
right? with how many tanks exist in the world, with how many explosives exists, this invasion of aliens should never work. especially with how few aliens dropped
Roanoke Gaming did a video on the science behind the Aliens here in a quiet place, and like, came to the conclusion that the military would probably be able to kill the aliens here because even though they have really really tough hides, their insides under their armour is squishy…and tank shells are essentially specifically built for penetration, even if the shells don’t penetrate the armour, their insides would be liquified to mush upon impact
Cats are predators. They're reflexes are quicker than a snake strike. When it comes to surviving, they adapt very well and very fast. And when it comes to their natural insists, they're silence killers. So, naturally they are silence survivors as well. Their silent hunting grounds/quickness/camouflage/sight is what makes them so dominate in general.
And 98% of cat species, while predator, aren't apex predators, and therefore are adept at not only preying on much smaller, weaker animals, but are also quite skilled in quickly avoiding/ escaping from the larger/more aggressive/ more powerful animals who do pose a risk to them (bears, large snakes, crocs, wolves, wolverines, hyenas etc) & therefore sometimes steal the cats prize... making it even more necessary that they be skilled hunters.
You have 4 cats and never showed them to us??? SIR!! On more serious note this was amazing review! Thanks for including deleted scenes, I think movie is better with them.
Just listening to the description of this movie gives me a bit of anxiety. I was on Manhattan when the World Trade Center came down. I was living in Jersey so I had to walk through the city to get to the docks because all the bridges and trains were shut down. The whole city had become creepily quiet and the streets were empty of cars, just people walking in small groups. I still get worked up even all these years later when I think about it.
If Frodo was an adopted cat, it is plausible that he doesn't meow often. My favorite anecdotal experience is that there are 2 cats that often visits my neighbourhood. One stray, one feral. The stray one will, every single day without fail, at 6 a.m. on the dot, meows loudly until I get out of the house to feed him. The feral one usually wait for the stray one to get fed, before stealing some bits for herself. On the second month of doing this, I heard a very hoarse meow at 6 a.m. It was the feral one! She learns that the stray one meows and then I'll come feed him, so she tried to do the same. So if Frodo used to be a street cat, it's completely plausible that he doesn't really feel the need to meow unless he's very hungry. edit: grammar ;D
Yeah it’s definitely possible. My cat never meows, and he is rather quiet. Also it’s likely Frodo realized quickly to be quiet himself, it’s not like cats have zero intelligence. They know to be quiet when hunting etc.
Its really easy to explain basically she trusted the cat him because she knows that she's already dying so it won't matter if she survived from those monsters
This movie made me WEEP I was crying since the puppet show btw lmao. I think the reason she got emotional is because the little boy was living his best life but then the balloon pops and leaves him grounded and in the dark ( the lights fade a bit). I think it reminded her of her life before cancer.

The whole time I was like, ‘Why am I doing this to myself?’ but I couldn’t look away. Loved every heartbreaking second of it! That mix of suspense and sadness just hit different. 👏🌌
I really love this movie, but the way the creatures work is all over the place. It really makes no sense how they attack who they attack, but I can forgive that because I like the movie overall.
The reason I think Sam got emotional during the puppet show was the symbolism. The balloon representing the hopes and dreams of the puppet (humanity) only to have it deflate, his descent representing those hopes dashed. Sam also being a poet and terminal would feel this especially hard. I kept wondering why Reuben would bring dying folks to see something so depressing lol.
What were people doing in a flooded subway tunnel?? Eric's clothes being super dry after swimming through that submerged subway. Cats usually hiss n make a noise upon sensing danger. But apparently Mr froto is still learning how to speak cat. The aliens should have all been attracted to the explosion n cries of ppl dying/drowning when the bridge is blown up leaving the city eliminating the attack on the rooftop. But all that is barely an inconvenience. Still the most fun to watch movie of the franchise due to great acting n screenplay
Nothing will top that guttaral scream from John Krasinski in the first film. But I am glad to see that this franchise is doing well. Loved the concept from the start.

He is a therapy cats are taught not to meow because their meow is to alert that a emergency is occuring. Thus why you hear the cat still being able to meow when it is hungry
The Quiet Place: Day One had me in my feels 😭💔 Watching everything fall apart, seeing people’s lives turn upside down… it was so raw and intense. The whole time I was like, ‘Why am I doing this to myself?’ but I couldn’t look away. Loved every heartbreaking second of it! That mix of suspense and sadness just hit different. 👏🌌
Damn I wished it just cut to her dying peacefully in her sleep listening to music using earphones instead of the aliens getting her 🤦♀️
Frodo is the actual main character
gotchu mate: 4:08 cashier's cat gets mad at other cats and makes a mess.
I really love this movie, but the way the creatures work is all over the place. It really makes no sense how they attack who they attack, but I can forgive that because I like the movie overall.
I will consume this media immediately
Are you not gunna talk about a crucial detail ? That being the massive queen of the death angels that thing was so much bigger then the others
The aliens honestly look like the ones from the far cry 5 dlc
The reason I think Sam got emotional during the puppet show was the symbolism. The balloon representing the hopes and dreams of the puppet (humanity) only to have it deflate, his descent representing those hopes dashed. Sam also being a poet and terminal would feel this especially hard. I kept wondering why Reuben would bring dying folks to see something so depressing lol.
Please do the substance next. It was so incredible and definitely needs explaining
4 cats?? show us
Nothing will top that guttaral scream from John Krasinski in the first film. But I am glad to see that this franchise is doing well. Loved the concept from the start.
Cities would be a double edged sword for these aliens. So much noises going on all at once would cause these aliens going insane
Love the content could we please get blink twice very underrated love the work my guy
The quiet cat and the ending are what needed to be changed 🤔
I watched this last night and I had to google of Frodo survives, as soon as I saw he was a main character, or I would've turned it off.
I don't care if there is no logic behind the cat surviving. Frodo lives!
This movie will have a special place in my heart. It was my first horror movie with my little sister.
Wow, the navy must be useless AF 😂
Did y’all notice the sweater was her dads?
Love this channel. May it be eternal
Young woman? You already made a mistake, she’s 41.
