No idea if anyone already mentioned, but the creature on your back IS you from before, the one who activated the green battery opening the shutters during the prologue, THAT you turned into one of those paracites and attached onto your back, still holding the multitool Also, during the prologue you saw yourself hatch from the egg, this is effectivly one of those never ending cycles for your character where once one dies, their mind is transported to the next avaliable body ready to be hatched Mind transfer technology, both for your character to die one moment, then re-born in another body once made, hence all the "dud" bodies at the start, plus the pulsating wire thing at the end that connects your mind to those robotic forms, the knife on the one keeping your true self in a state of unconsiousness, allowing your mind to stay connected to the robotics when operating them Fantastic concept 10/10 would eat a burgor again o/
So bodies are made not born, and the population is counted with consciousness? [SPOILERS] So if you killed the spider guy would he come back as normal? But he messed up and ended up transforming himself so he can't transfer? He also merged with the MC so I wonder if there's some prequel potential there. But then again, everything is deteriorating, so it wouldn't be all the same. I think parasite is still thinking, he has a goal, so maybe he needs genetic material to remake a body, near the end he almost looks like the egg thing but made of two bodies...
Why does the parasite-you attach onto your back and provide you with the multi-tool? Assuming the mind transferred to another you, why is it being somewhat helpful to you? Did it retain some form of consciousness you initially had, before the past-you turned?

An interesting theory is that every working cell of this ecosystem (assuming everything you see and interact with is, or was, alive) has evolved to be coherent rather than competitive. It would explain why the metal and stone look like bones, and why every flexible material is fleshy. Whoever shaped these structures (Your people? Aliens?) would only have needed to make it beneficial for the cells to grow into certain shapes. It also explains why your gun is alive. It has been manufactured biologically, grown from something else to become a weapon. It also explains why the enemies are so dangerous, like the parasite you picked up. They're either newcomers, perhaps from outside the ecosystem, or they're simply organisms which have become competitive to guarantee their own survival.

I love how the visuals imply that something tried to recreate technology with organic material, just like how we try to recreate biological effects with technology nowadays.
Apparently the creatures that were making a living bridge for the others of its kind were imitating ant scaffolds. It is usually done by most ant species as a way to move lots of ants over large gaps. It fits creepily well into the whole organic style of this game.
It’s nice to see someone appreciate the artistic work of this game and actively compliment it. I feel like so many people played it and said “no shorty bang not good game” or “walking sim, devs have betrayed me personally”. It’s so refreshing. Thanks igp.
this is like playing a virtual art museum. The graphics are like Doom Eternal, the sound design is like sex for your ears, the visuals is more twisted than seeing the change of a dementia patience's hand writing, and the person playing is hilarious. can't wait to see the game for my self!

yea saw it on his 2nd channel, I thought the game is long like dead space long. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it I am hoping for another Scorn like game from the same devs/team cause theres no way they've invested this much time for these gorgeous art to end just like that.
I was gonna say, the way some platforms looked and stuff did remind me of HR Giger, so cool to know it’s part of the inspiration for this game. Feel like it’s a good way to make places seem otherworld or creepy.
This game has so much raw symbolism in it. One that sticks out the most to me though is Ascension and Apotheosis through Pain, especially towards the end of the game. I have developed some theories on this Race of beings who ruled and what they’re goals may have been. And I honestly want a continuation of this for answers. I feel like I’ve been given records of an ancient race and now I need to decipher it’s secrets to the best of my ability! I need More!
That was a priceless moment, when you realised that parasite HADN’T in fact, fuct off in search of easier prey,, but had instead found you very comfortable, and you now incorporate it into yr circulatory system or some shite in exchange for it behaving as a conscious backpack that supplies you what you need when you simply think it. This IS a clever game. There’s so much I want to say, but I’m watching on my iPad Pro, so I more or less must pause if I want not to miss half the display whilst commenting., and a part of me simply wants to get immersed.
That's why it felt so weird after finally seeing it release. I remember originally it was going to release a long time ago and then just no word. It went completely silent and then without a word pops back into existence.
I hope someone makes a video explaining the lore behind the world of Scorn. Feels very much like you were abducted and experimented on by aliens, that's my theory anyway.
IIRC, the devs explained that the world of Scorn is that of a post-apocalyptic hellscape of death and decay after an intense conflcit between two alien species that went on for so long that both of those species simply perished for the most part. You're pretty much a member of one of those species, having to trudge through the withering aftermath and horrors that ensued from that conflict.
When I first heard of this game it was back in 2014 and I've been waiting for it ever since and I finally played it but I didn't realize it was mainly based on puzzles. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so it took me a very long time to figure it out. But this game is beautiful
I love the moment you realize the creature is still on your back and has been holding your inventory for you XD. There's a point in time when your hands are completely covered in growths later on, and people think the 'healing' animation is an error (it shows no growths) when in actually it's the creature that's been applying healing to you with its hands the whole time.
im only a minute in and the look and design of the game is so visceral, let alone the little cutscenes and character animations. it scratches the little itch in the back of my brain for my love of biomech horror but also still unnerves me at the same time ♥️
I think this Bio-tech was effectively just construction drones. You see those medium sized quadrupeds forming bridges? Are they trying to follow orders from higher up, on repeat, forever?
It's so nice to hear your intrigue and excitement for the design. I haven't found any other players who share this level of enthusiasm and it makes watching playthrough so much more enjoyable 💥💥💥

28:10 I thought I recognised that noise... it's a higher pitch Odogaron call from Monster Hunter
16:05 It's so frustrating to see IGp not realize that the creature IS the gun
Actually that parasite thing is the first guy he played, who transformed into this thing by the goo he was submerged in at the end
Not gonna lie i prefer longer videos than short very well edited videos, because you can really enjoy the hour long videos because sometimes you won't realize how much time has already passed.
This game feels like a piece of art, which also got me thinking about things like what makes us human, at what point are we no longer human, and more
“No I’m good” (has lungs and soft tissue completely exposed to outside elements)
I love how the visuals imply that something tried to recreate technology with organic material, just like how we try to recreate biological effects with technology nowadays.
I like how it adds to the fact everything is alive by adding flesh like noises
This makes me think this must be what being a Tyranid is like, if they had day jobs.
I heard about this game so long ago, happy to see it's completion
IGP dude, I think the creature thing attached to you also gave you the organic helmet like what was shown in the earlier trailers
After so many teasers, So many demos, So many trailers, It’s finally out! I remember hearing about his in 5th grade and still can’t believe it finally came out!
I love how you just keep looking down to the parasite's (player 1's) hands everytime you use an equip item to interact with something in the world. It is really very neat to see those details, and it does a great job of justifying some mechanics we take for granted by giving them a *reason* to make sense.
I really loved this game, beat it a few moments ago sadly. Was sort of hoping for a longer dive into this disturbing world but what was there was amazing and pretty worth the wait.
idk y but ur resoluion is insane. i was actually grossed out when it started and ive watched 3 playthroughs. ur quality is a work of art and i appreciate u grossing me out
maybe cuz it was on my tablet, watchin this on pc is next level
This is so epic. The game, the graphics, an hour long video from IGP. Hell yes!
One of the most entertaining things about this video was IGP screaming and running from basically everything ROTFL!!! But yes this game looks INSANELY Crazy and Amazing Too!! So beyond truly creative to say the least!!!! Great video man!!
ayyyyyyyy time to get scared lmao, watching it in the dark at night
How can you watch it at night
@@joshualippens1406 bro doesnt know what timezones are
@@joshualippens1406
How can you forget that over 7 billion people on this planet exist and like half of them are experiencing nighttime Lmfao.
Also... Its literally not even hard to watch horror movies at night... Maybe you need to stop hiding behind your pillows when you watch them Lmfao!! 🤣🤣
@@immatureguy5358
Lmfao, ikr
@@Im_Iconic-Youre_Ironic i honestly think he was saying how can you watch it at night because its scary 🤷🏿♂️ idk though
omg thank you for posting this. This game is so creative and all the custom sound effects and visuals to make this game. Imagine being in a studio to make the sound affects for this.
Everytime IGP uploads it gonna be a good day
I love this stuff esspecially I love how it seems like IGP makes his voice sound like hes talking into the world the characters in Echos ect Amazing top tier UA-camr right here love it man keep it up!
I’ve only seen the intro and I’m already in love with the art style. It’s so freaking beautiful I don’t have words for it.
Will this be a series? I hope it is, Scorn's visuals, aesthetics, ambiance & environment is all really new to me and really find it gorgeous. Nice vid IGP
There's sadly not enough gameplay for that, he's already about 2/3s though
yea saw it on his 2nd channel, I thought the game is long like dead space long. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it I am hoping for another Scorn like game from the same devs/team cause theres no way they've invested this much time for these gorgeous art to end just like that.
25:25 loved that he put some reverb and delay over his voice when entering the big area! IGP's attention to details is something else!
I was gonna say, the way some platforms looked and stuff did remind me of HR Giger, so cool to know it’s part of the inspiration for this game. Feel like it’s a good way to make places seem otherworld or creepy.
bro you better make a full playthrough of this game!! IM HYPED FOR THIS GAME!!!!
@IGP is this another fake account?
IGP: I, I feel safe inside now.
Also IGP: AAAHHHH, NOPE, outside is much better...
Bro the funniest part he thought the alien leave but no the alien is actually attached to him and the gun is actually the tail
The gun creature didn’t leave at all. He became the weapon when he attached himself to your torso
This is so exciting! I've been waiting for this game for a long time
Cheers from Poland :D
I've been looking forward to this game for so long. I worried it would be scrapped or forgotten but it came through and is so incredible!
You know it’s gonna be good from start to end when they have grate openings like this one. 1hour lessgooo I’m gonna enjoy this
I hope someone makes a video explaining the lore behind the world of Scorn.
Bro I just came back to your videos and now I'm finna binge all of the ones I missed.
8 years and it’s only going to be two episodes long? It’s amazing but kind of short.
This game has awoken so many phobias
After what i've seen on the internet, this game looks like a relaxing place
I love how it looks like it's straight out of Geiger's fetish dreams
The echo is really nice, I’m not gonna lie, it adds this sense of distance.
Love that, thank you.
8 years? Worth the wait :]
Visually nice, but otherwise maybe not worth the wait. Reviews seem mixed.
im only a minute in and the look and design of the game is so visceral, let alone the little cutscenes and character animations. it scratches the little itch in the back of my brain for my love of biomech horror but also still unnerves me at the same time ♥️
I think this Bio-tech was effectively just construction drones.
You see those medium sized quadrupeds forming bridges? Are they trying to follow orders from higher up, on repeat, forever?
Test comment
Never been disappointed with your content. Loving horror games a lot more because of you
Excited for a part 2 , would love to see some more of this
It's so nice to hear your intrigue and excitement for the design. I haven't found any other players who share this level of enthusiasm and it makes watching playthrough so much more enjoyable 💥💥💥
The best feeling is when you pop open your computer, its night time, stormy, and IGP released a long video, time to go to sleep happy
This is awesome man. The devs did it! and the editing is amazing so fluid thank you so much
dude this is great content. you keep on making great things all the time.
Heck ya bro. Glad you are doing this. I love your commentary and what not during your content creation. I. At the beginning and already know this is gonna be a banger.
15:50 The monster didn't leave,it became part of you your real arm was in your belly and the arm you were using was the monster's arm
It's like an Alive Body Suit
How could you not realise, The Creatrue wrapped around you.. IS the gun !!
Its clearly using your body an its self as combinational weapon.
56:00 what if while you were standing there you shot into the fog and a giant health bar appears at the top of the screen lmao
