The scene where Aslan sacrifices himself is soooo much sadder in the book. I remember Aslan almost collapsing on his way there and the girls walked on either side of him as he went. The girls show concern when he tumbles and he replies “I am sad and lonely. Lay your hands on my mane so that I can feel you are there and let us walk like that.” Asking for that small comfort as he willingly goes to meet his death 😭 I cried so hard reading it

Seriously, second movie Edmund really hit different when I was a kid. Like, I hated his little bad ass in the first movie, but when Prince Caspian came around, I was all over Ed.
The fact that during the snowball fight scene where Lucy and Peter both got hit in the face and were perfectly fine yet Edmund gets hit on the shoulder and is like "oW sToHp eT"
It feels weird to say it now, because he looks so young, but I have to remind myself I was only eleven when the sequel came out, so it was okay then lol.
Love this comment. I literally laughed out loud but same. I was all about prince caspian when the second film came out, then one day I rewatched it and suddenly noticed Edmund. I was mad at myself for not noticing earlier how fine Edmund was in that film😄
Edmund was just the epitome of beauty in second movie. And he silent brooding hot nature was cherry on top. I just kept staring at him in th second movie even if it wasn't him talking in the scene.he just looked so beautiful.
Narnia was so special to me. Just imagine a 5 year old girl who's surname is Aslan watching an army fight "in the name of Aslan" I was so proud of myself.
It hurts my heart to realise they lived a whole life in while they were in Narnia and then when they come back through the closet at the end they’re back as children. The thought that from there on they’re adults having to live through our (old) world as kids again being belittled after they have fought in wars and had duties as kings and queens for years stresses me out
Omg same, that always makes me so sad and that’s literally the thing that keeps me up for ours. Like I can’t explain how that makes me feel knowing they basically lived a lifetime in Narnia and come back still the same age they were when they left
I know right! They literally lived their whole lives in narnia and LUCY HAD TO FOLLOW THE LAMP POST. even in the second movie Lucy acts like a DUMB DUMB. Edmund however was *chefs kiss* BEST CHARACHTER DEVELOPMENT. ESPECIALLT IN PRINCE CASPIAN WHEN HE DESTORYS THE ICE eye- excuse my going off.
The books explains this by telling us that their minds and feelings returned to be the same as when they were children. All their memories of Narnia began to fade, and only their faith allows them to remember their adventures as dreams from long time ago
“Lucy is now the head of the family, she’s now the leader” - Bold of you to assume that she wasn’t already. Peter may be the oldest and act like the leader, but I’ve always thought it’s obvious that Lucy has him wrapped around her finger 😅
Someone (not me) wrote this on the clip showing the coronation scene: "Peter: Oak leaf (represents longevity, humble beginnings, patience, faith, power, endurance, and strength) Susan: Daffodils (represents spring, chivalry, rebirth). Edmund: Birch leaf (represents redemption) Lucy: Yarrow flower (represents, courage, healing, and love)" That person pointing this out makes it all the more better.
SECOND MOVIE EDMUND SUPREMACY trin you are so valid for having had a crush on edmund in the second movie and i am glad you confessed to it so i dont feel so alone with it anymore

Fun fact: That teacher they were with, Digory, he was there as a child when Narnia was created, and he got an apple in a garden to heal his sick mother and from the seeds of that apple grew a tree, which was then made into the wardrobe that got the to Narnia. That's why he was so surprised to discover Lucy said she found a hidden world in the closet. Him and Penny, a childhood friend, were also responsible for setting the Witch free, she used to be a statue in Charm (the place they go to in the third movie with the green mist thing)
I rewatched this movie bc I was inspired by Trin and only on my rewatch did I realize the reason the giant hawks brought in rocks was probably because Peter was inspired by WWII air strikes. like it’s sooo cool how they wove in that small detail from Peter’s past
lol that's true, but according to the book the actual reason why Edmund betrayed his siblings was because the Turkish delight was enchanted, so it was almost like a drug to him and he needed to eat more of it. But I can imagine how irritating siblings can get sometimes lol.
Me and my siblings are literally the same as Pevensie children (oldest=boy, second oldest(me)=girl, third oldest=boy, youngest=girl) and I just know my younger brother would sell us all for Turkish delight the way Edmund did

Also, for that ending where they were old, they stayed in Narnia for 15 years and their reign was considered to be the Golden Age of Narnia. @kosa wha It's simply based on the idea that the siblings fit the personalities of the four founders. There is no lore based theory around it, it's just for fun. I love how Narnia has a lot of random references to Turkic culture; Turkish Delight, Aslan (means Lion), Jadis (written "Cadı" means Witch), Miraz (Miras), Peter the Magnificent (Suleiman the Magnificent) etc.
Actually they don't show Aslan for a while and talk about how magnificent he looks and stuff. So we Turkish people kind of got spoilers for him, we knew he'd look like a lion.😂😂😂
Thes movies honestly didn’t give the books justice. Neither did the hp movies but Harry Potter was already very popular. Narnia is was but on that Harry Potter level yk?
Totally agree if Disney didn’t messed up during the release for narnia prince caspian they would of made so much moneyx they did the worst mistake by releasing between two movies iron man and Indiana Jones which were killer in the box office which stole a lot of prince caspian box office, it doesn’t help that the sequel release longer than expected than most book franchise, what they should of done by releasing it during Christmas like the first movie and also other factors too.
@@shaggymofo7716The only thing Disney messed up about Prince Caspian was the release time. Making the sequal to a movie with the world having the arc of "always winter never Christmas" to Santa showing up that was released in December turn around and release in the summer was a mistake. Say what you want about Disney Star Wars but they were so afraid of people getting scared by the timing of the release within the year that they changed every release post-TFA to be December, because they saw how Prince Caspian underperformed.

Exactly how I felt at the end it really made me uncomfortable that they accidentally go back to their lives

If it makes you feel better, in the books they do eventually go back as Kings and Queens, only this time it was permanent

@@calebgoodman2076 lmao they are probably on about the actors who were about 20 when they filmed the movie
@@acidic-nuggets Ohh... that makes more sense. It was honestly a weird choice casting an adult as a child though. 😆 Caspian looked older than Peter but was supposed to be a year younger than Susan.
@@calebgoodman2076 I think it was just for the appeal which makes sense tbh because they wanted a huge movie and if they cast super young kids fighting a war it wouldn’t really sell. The bbc narnia however the cast and story is pretty spot on to the book for people who wanted that.
10 year old me was OBSESSED with Susan. I never realized why.
And then I did. I was just bi as hell. Please watch the other two.
Okay mooooood
SAME LMAO
That was exactly the same with me, but with Lucy. Obsessed with her since I was 6, not realising that I was as Bi as a bicycle 😂
*Peter has a red lion on his shield...Reynes of Castamere confirmed.*
peter - gryffindor
susan - ravenclaw
edmund - slytherin
lucy - hufflepuff
Wow this is acc so true
The theories of these relation are honestly amazing
Except that Lucy was always known as “Lucy the valiant” so if anything she’d be griffyndor too. I get how she gives off hufflepuff vibes though
@@micahsnow346 well hufflepuffs can be brave, just like gryffindors can be gentle
Edmund from the books is Ravenclaw
