I used canned air with the skinny straw to blow out the similarly-shaped filter of my household vacuum cleaner for reuse. Not sure how well that would work with those bigger shop vac filters, but might be worth a try.
We'll give that a shot! This vac has proven highly popular with all of the college students sheltering here for the pandemic so cleaning the filter will be necessary sooner than planned.
Sorry, I was answering a message, so it took a little bit. Please do not be upset in the delay of my wave. I'm pretty sure they have duct tape on the space stations.
@@AtomicDairy Sounds good to me. I attended a class for soldering that created because of NASA and space shuttle components, so I like to say I'm qualified to work on the space shuttle. :)
I foresee some stickers by the back hole "exhaust, danger, stand back", or maybe led lights that some into the bucket during use, so you can see the debris level.
I've been wanting a dust separator for my vac too. This gives me some ideas, thanks!
Build one! You will be amazed at how much it catches and how much longer your shop vac filter will last.

Very much enjoyed! Thank you!
Very happy you liked it!
Nice video. Very entertaining. Great build. Very useful. Mahalo for sharing. : )
Glad you enjoyed it! This one turned out to be very useful.
Where on earth can I get on of those dust collecting things, never seen one before
It's a Dustopper High Efficiency Dust Separator. Amazon and Home Depot have them and they work extremely well!
Really want that nasa shirt!
Those NASA shirts are all the range among the kids these days!
I love this
Thank you!!!

We were wondering about that, but glad you waved back! And you're right about duct tape. I guess that makes most of our projects aerospace grade now!

"Semi-transparent" = translucent.

You are a genius! Both of those ideas have been added to the upgrade list!
