Woodrow 55 sounds perfect! At least to my ears. I finished today a song using exclusively Woodrow. I love it!
🥂
Brewster is my hero..
Rob is really bringing the heat here with that beautiful Fodera 😍 Great sounding pedal too!
I pretty much exclusively record guitars through the tweed 55 plug-in because it’s convenient and always sounds good. Seems like a really great improvement on something I already have no complaints about.
Now you can have it in your back pocket for live.
Freaky Rob can freaking PLAY dude holy fuck
💪🏻
How about a Gretsch with a little Neil Young bridge pickup spank and less whittling on the neck pickup?
seconded
I want to use this on my pedal board as an amp and can sim but I see it has no DI out to the front of the house or even to go into my DAW, so how would I accomplish that?
Sounds great! Is there any point in getting this for studio use if I already have the Fender Tweed unison plug-in?
It could def be useful! It's got knobs and is portable. So it can be out the studio with the player where they can tweak as they play. It's also got room and cabs that the plugin doesn't have.
Omg put all of these in a rack unit PLEASE!
Brewster sounds fantastic here. Do you know what the entire chain was (additional pedals, amp)?
Just the pedal.
@@UniversalAudio wow, nice!
🥂
He needs to an CD of his UA tones
Will it do the Blue Note tweed deluxe clean sounds with humbuckers, like Kenny Burrell Chitlins Con Carne and Grant Green Alone Together (Green Street)?
It'll do whatever a 55 Tweed did!!
Universal Audio, these pedals sound incredible and I really am considering getting one. My question is for a pedal junkie like myself who already has a combo amp, what is the best way to implement this into my live setup? I have lots of gain pedals, mods, etc. Will they stack well with this? Does this have to replace my amp to get the best sound? Should I buy just a speaker cabinet and use this like an amp? thx!
Yes, the pedals take pedals just like the amps do. You can use it as a "preamp" into your amp by turning off the cab sim, but really you'll likely want to use this with a FRFR cab.
Plug it into your fave amp first or one that has a " power-amp Input"...you will be surprised.
Love this pedal, but I dunno why they make it cannot be bypassed when using different footswitch mode like boost, live/preset. Hell why?
You can program what the foot switches do in the app.
Is it normal , that these pedals get really warm when using them ? I purchased the Woodrow an i have to say i`m a bit surprised.
Yes, lots of computing happening in there!! 💪🏻
@@UniversalAudio Okido :-)
Ok came to ask this same question! Understand it getting warm. Assumed it was tested and normal operation.
Can i use it with headphones? Do i need a DI, a headphone amp, something like that?
Many users have success connecting headphones directly with a Y cable, or any headphone amp will work. 👍🏻
Is there some video to compare all 3? Also would it be too redundant to buy the Dream 65 if I already own the Golden Reverberator? Seems like the Dream 65 cannibalizes the G.R.?
Oh no! Dream is an amp pedal, modeling the entire end to end amp experience, Golden is just a reverb, and an amazing one at that!
Are the tones we’re hearing DI ?
Yes, nothing but pedal.
Can someone explain to a noob how you play these things at home in a non-recording situation and hear the sound? Would you just use a pair of speakers? Any kind of speakers? I know this is a massively ignorant question but as someone who has played as a hobbyist at home traditionally straight into an amplifier, this is something that I find is very unclear when researching these kind of pedals.
Correct, any "flat" speakers will do the trick. Studio monitors connected to your interface maybe. Or FRFR cabs. www.sweetwater.com/insync/411-frfr-speakers/
@@UniversalAudioas much as I like your cab models in my Lion 68, I much prefer using a couple clean solid state pedal power amps to a couple of my favorite cabs that I used to use with my 50 watt Plexi clone that is now retired because the Lion 68 sounded and felt so good to play. I spent a couple days A/B testing the Lion 68 against my Plexi with same cabs and Lion 68 is what I use now. Save on tubes and save space. It dials in the same as my Plexi too. Easiest digital modeler out there. I also, unlike some others, never experienced any issues updating it or using the Bluetooth app. I haven’t even updated from version 1.1.7 to latest 1.1.9 because I had no problems with 1.1.7. When my Lock Screen comes on from inactivity, I open the phone again, close the app, reconnect and it works every time. I really don’t connect it often though. I have the preset side on a Brown Sound preset I tweaked myself, and live side I dial in whatever I need like I did with my amp. Can’t wait to see what comes next in these pedals. I’m about ready to buy a Woodrow too.
Does these pedals need a DI box to a PA system?
Yep, you need a Line Isolator like the Diso+ or a Walrus Canvas. If you use a DI you will lose some of the character of the modeling pedal.
For longer runs in live sound applications, a DI is definitely recommended.
how about a video on how to upgrade the firmware ? I have tried 3 different PCs and none of them recognise the pedal using a USB-C cable. WTF ? I submitted a ticket on your website weeks ago and zero response. v poor customer service
Dude at 1:15❤❤❤
Great for Rhythm playing, that 330 and the s/b solid 2 humbucker Guitar sounded ace. If you want the "Tweed" tone once you buy an amp, new speaker, modifications and a whole lot of tubes and pedals you may as well just buy a new Deluxe 57 re-issue...just from my experience. Save up and get the real amp and an SM57.(just my personal view). The pedal in the video is fantastic as an amp simulator "Based" on a Tweed but no chip can emulate a real amp...unless you want to save space and use it for recording straight into a mixer then great!
Imposible conectar Bluetooth. Están defectuoso .
Intrigued...but....Still has a ways to go from what I'm hearing on this demo... Still not getting the top end quite right... I'm not interested in accuracy for it's own sake but it doesn't sound as good in the top...stiff, brittle, hard charicature of a tweed is what's on display here anyway...really hoped for better.
These pedals are far too expensive.
They're selling faster than we can make them.
