Really great sailing video with naration and the natural sounds of sailing. This should be the standard for all boat videos, telling about what is happening and NO music to drown out the enjoyment of the time and experience.
Yes, I have sailed with the Potters many times. The Potter 15 is a nice little boat. The Monty is considerably bigger despite the similar designation, and if sailed by a good sailor, is faster than a Potter. Now, these boats are not fast like planing dinghies, but sail well. The Monty sails like a little BMW. Just stays on her lines, points well, balances well. Really a joy. They are really quite different. The Potter is beachable, and 2 feels like a crowd on a Potter. The Monty sails best with 2, although I solo most of the time.
I love your videos. I also had a Vagabond/Holder 14. I moved up to a Flying Scot so we cold take more people sailing and we can pull it with our RAV4. What were your major decision factors in selecting your nice little yacht?
@@johnirby493 Well, that is where I keep the dead bodies, so I don't want to show them!! Actually, I am not really giving a tour of the boat. I'm just giving some memories and sailing enjoyment. So not showing the cabin is simply not on purpose particularly. Just nothing in there of interest to the sailing action. But if I were giving a boat tour, then yeah, I would show the inside of the boat!
It's not just you. Lots of UA-camrs who own relatively small sailboats do the same. To really get interested on a particular model, one needs to see what they would actually get. Again. The comment was not just about your video. @@dndrich
@@johnirby493 Gotcha. Well, I no longer have that boat. But the rest of my channel has video of the boat I built, a SCAMP. That is an open boat, so you can see what she has for sure!

Thanks! Love small boats...
Just sailed with 3 guys from the Potter Yachters last weekend at Union Vally Res. Great group of guys !
nice video of the 15. I am going to haft-ta get me one!
Have you sailed along side a Potter 15? And if so do you notice any difference in speed between the two boats?

All of you are ashamed to show your cabin designs.
I’m not sure what this means? I no longer have this boat, but the cabin was fine for a 15 foot boat.
It means that if one shows the hull and cockpit of their boat, they should show the cabin. What are owners afraid of?@@dndrich
