I took a 9' Ranger Minto up to Ross in the 80's and camp/sailed her for a week. Sadly, the road in from Hope was trashed by the flooding this winter and it's likely to be closed for a long time.
I enjoy your videos as extraordinary adventures.. We own an M 15 and have had great sails but nothing like yours. Thanks for wonderful films and great work.
Possibly the best pocket cruiser ever built, in my opinion. Lyle Hess designed them safe and stable. Jerry Montgomery made them fast. I assume you put in from the Canadian side? I'm not aware of any launch facilities on the US side.
No prob! I still haven't done it yet, so it's still on my To-do list. Thanks for the info. I'm up for Grt Slave Lk (saw your vid), let me know if you're going again and would like another boat along.

It was a great place to sail for us. Too bad about the road!
Amazing, thank you
I miss my M-17 so much. of all the sailboats I've owned in my life, the Montgomery 17 was the best by far. Truly, a little ship.

Thanks so much for your kind words!
It all looks like a load of fun
love this video, i have a cruiser 18, love small boats
Passionate Kisses here is a MCC cover of Lucinda Williams' song. Both are excellent versions.
Nicely done. Guess I need to put some speakers on my 17.
I want to sail this lake for sure. Great choice, don't think I will make it to Slave Lake, but...
Ross Lake is a very scenic place to sail. Sort of a lot of dust driving in, but that was about the only down side.
Yes, a frequent problem of narrow lakes in steep valleys: no wind.
The first day had a very nice wind so overall the sailing was good.
I forgot Thank You so much!!!!

I think the ramp is just over the border in the US but you have to get there through Canada.
Beautiful!!!!!!
Nice vid! I'm going to take my Potter 15 there this summer, where did you launch/park?
Sorry that I am just seeing these comments. We launched at the north end of the lake just over the US border coming from Hope.

I definitely want to back to Great Slave Lake but it might be a couple of years. Let me know what your plans are.
Fantásticos esses 2 barcos.

Sea dream location
Motors are illegal on Ross lake aren’t they?
Not when we were there.
