  • Here is how I do my patches. Watch until the end you will see two different patches I make.
    I used Poly Twill and use two layers of 4mm plastic. And that is scotch tape to hold the patch down to the plastic.

    if you dont mine me asking why do you use the plastic and not just embroider them all out at one time on twill and then cut them out?

    • @ttowntshirts
      @ttowntshirts  Рік тому

      You do it on plastic so you don't have to cut or burn it when it's done. The plastic allows you to do it the way you see it. As soon as it's done, pop it out and do burn to tighten it up. And then add your sticky back, or it's ready to stitch on what you want.

      o.k. thats what confusing me because i saw you cut it out first and it just seems excessive lol. i have vinyl cutters to cut my shapes out so i dont have to do the first step of doing the initial stitch to create the shape. my plan eventually is to get a laser cutter to do it.

      I have a Lazer and cutter those will work. I do think if you do all your stitching on the plastic it may jump off line. Bc the satin stitch will be the last thing to get done bc that is what cuts the plastic. And thats like doing puff on a hat.

      @@ttowntshirts nah, you just have to have to have thick enough plastic. thats how i first learned how to do i was just to use the badgemaster film. but I started to do more sublimated patches which required the need to cut the shapes out.

    is this tear off plastic or water dissolve one?

    • @ttowntshirts
      @ttowntshirts  Рік тому

      No the plastic is basic 4mil plastic. You stitch over it all and it melts when you burn it.
