    Thanks for the content, that’s a good looking design.
    I use my thread nippers to cut the stitches and a small pair of needle nose pliers to pull the stubborn threads. I also put a few layers of “sticky backing” inside the hat after a repair to help patch the needle holes so there is something to grab onto and produce a good stitch.

    Here is a tip for you. Set your start point at the bottom of you cap designs. When you trace it saves a lot of time.

    When you unhoop a hat like that you’ll never have the same registration again. The secret to avoiding that is NEVER run out or bobbin when doing hats. :)

      I change the bobbin like this all the time this was probably the the only time it has ever done that. I could have kept it out of the video but I figured I'd show how I fix things like that when it happens.

      Appreciate it! Thanks for coming over and watching. It's not always smooth sailing, and I have to think on the fly. I wish more UA-cam people would show the ugly side. I just happened to be recording that day, lol.

    Hey make sure you tell your digitizer to digitize for hats. Supposed to start from the center, bottom up, right to left because of the curvature of the hat.

      It does you might only be seeing the tack-down part. But guess I never really watch anyone she does so many for me anymore. If they come out great I don't pay attention

    What thickness foam do you use from Joanne's? I've only found 2mm craft foam. Is that what you double up?

    • @ttowntshirts
      @ttowntshirts  7 місяців тому

      Yup I just double it up. I do really like the thick form from Madera but they don't have all the colors I use.

      80/12 if I'm having trouble. If not I really just use 75/11

    What kind of oil do you use for your machine? I see that yours is orange

    • @ttowntshirts
      @ttowntshirts  4 місяці тому

      Its just the oil that came with the machine. I also just picked a smaller bottle up from Joann's too.

    Bad bad compressed air. Shoves debris further into gears! Think about it!

      I clean the back gear out about once a month.
