I am totally noob to fragrances but I am hooked on how Aaron reviews fragrances as you actually learn something. He reviews it like a conductor of an orchestra with his hands and emotions with the ingredients... Simply, a perfumer is the best reviewer of fragrances!
My friend that works at a fancy Sephora says that most people that make the 1k €+ purchases come in the most regular clothes ever, often tracksuits. She says the people that can afford things rarely have a need to show it
I'm going to disagree just a bit: People like that are also usually taken/married/etc. I'm thinking those same people would have a more impressive presentation if they were single. Once they're with a significant other, they may not care how they look or what others think of their attire; they're not out to impress.
I grew up around very wealthy folks (without being wealthy ourselves sadly lol) and you're pretty dead-on. There's always exceptions as this is a general statement of course. I've personally seen friends (pre & post-marriage) drop 6-digit money for a car among other things in shorts, flip-flops, jeans, t-shirts, etc. I asked them if their other affluent friends/acquaintances roll like this often and this seems to be how it is a lot of the time. Dressing up is usually reserved for when the occasion specifically calls for it. The sales associates I've come across say the same thing as your friend.
I had a similar experience here at Bloomingdale’s in Atlanta. I had 1 wonderful saleswomen who treated me with respect and kindness. Made me feel good. I don’t resonate with people who judge without knowing.. So I only will go to her as who she is deserves my support. Aaron, thank you for always reminding us of how we should treat each other. Kindness and respect should be the starting point for every interaction no matter the place or person. You have always preached the goodness we deserve and need to offer. I appreciate you Aaron.
You’re spot on. Skin scent after 3-4 hours on me. Not especially projecting, but I can smell it most of the day in my personal bubble. Bang on this is a perfect plane travel scent. I wore this on a 15 hour flight and it was so nice to refresh around hour 13 before landing.

You nailed the essence of most Byredo fragrances - they vibrate off the skin for 2 hours and then completely die. I really wish they would only last just a couple hours more. At least get me through dinner and a show.
I’m sampling this today and I wasn’t prepared to love it as much as I do. I totally agree on that lemon drop note. It’s not the longest lasting but 3 hours later I do still get little whiffs of it here and there. I just may need to full bottle.
I said to my mum that she can choose a perfume for her birthday, and she chose this. Absolutely love this. Smells like rose but youthful, clean, airy and modern.

There's a woman at the Macys in my town I only go there when she's working now. Her attention to detail is a breath of fresh air. All the other women who work there either don't listen or treat you like they haven't got the time of day (I'm always dressed to the nines by the way so its not the cloths) I also buy everytime I show up so that they know I'm not wasting their time but this last time I went I just walked out. Edit: all the Sephora employees in the same complex are top notch
This is my first review from Aaron and wow!!! How I didn’t know about it before. So interesting and professional. I got here because I LOVE this fragrance by BYREDO however it doesn’t stick to my skin and I thought something is wrong with it. The scent is amazing I agree with Aaron’s review 100% but how do I keep the fragrance on me? Any recommendations?
I haven't watched this yet but I just ordered Encre Noire in part because of your review of it. That was the first review where I saw somebody be able to separate what they personally liked and what the perfumer was able to do. For me it's a blind by but it was interesting enough that I want it regardless. I have a feeling I will love it though. Cheers

I would like you to review all of the womens Narcisco Rodriguez fragrances. As a man I’m always tempted to buy one. I love for him EDT and I would love Bleu Noir EDT if it had more longevity. I have to overspray like crazy and I like weird clean armpit musk I get from it

I often feel embarrassed or bad to like something when I receive poor service. Maybe thats what’s happening here? Happened to me once with someone at a Dior stand. I disliked the fact I loved tobacolor - as I was looked at and judged, without ever saying anything, just by having the ‘nerve to approach the Dior private line area
Don’t know if you have any experience with Van Cleef and Arpels Feerie perfume for ladies. My wife has worn this for years and it has unfortunately been discontinued and I am searching for something that will smell similar for her as she is down to her last bottle of Feerie and doesn’t want to open it until she finds a replacement. 🙈🙈
Byredo style reminds me of those tumblr 2012 graphics, simplistic and nice. When compared to aaron perfumes they often lack in longevity/substance: 4 hours wear at high profit rate
This poor service you mention really grinds my gears. I have worked in customer facing roles all of my working life. I can't believe that in 2022, that I still hear stories like yours all of the time. Their customers are the reason they have a job, appreciate them! Also to customers, don't treat people in service roles like shit... they work really hard for not a lot of money 🙏

I gave up wearing an Adidas hoodie yrs ago because of how pple in stores where behaving with me - very slight differences that I didn't like, a lack of respect. I am curious about the perfume. True but its more about not dressing tacky, if you have well fitting tailored clothes and a neat hairstyle you can project a sense of wealth wherever you go.

I'm Iowa that's exactly how it is, we just don't care. It's about being comfortable.

Hmm. I hear that a lot. The only Byredo I own is Blanche and it lasts and lasts. Not only on me as well. Same for other people I know.
