The producers Madeline mentions, Carsey Werner, would go on to become a huge powerhouse, but Oh, Madeline was their 1st project, there were many missteps & the show was cancelled. One of their biggest successes was Roseanne. No wonder years later, when they were casting for their newest Bill Cosby series, they thought of this warm, gracious, thoughtful, brilliant, articulate, gorgeous performer & hired Madeline for what would be her last, longest running secure job. Many people who gave Madeline her biggest breaks wanted to work with her repeatedly - Peter Bogdanovich, Mel Brooks, Gene Wilder.
There was a huge blow to the entertainment industry when Madeline passed away. Such an underrated force and talent. I truly believe if that bastard named cancer wouldn't have chosen her, she'd still be a force to be to deal with.
She was a lovely human being, and very funny too. It's so sad she left us so soon. It's an unfortunate coincidence that she passed away from the same terrible diease that also took Gene Wilder's wife as well as Pierce Brosnan's first wife. We need to end cancer once and for all.
A extremely funny actress and extremely beautiful. (I always try not to mention if a woman is beautiful or not. Because looks are so seldom mentioned when we write about males. But I couldn’t help myself this time. Maybe because she often tried to look a bit uglier than she was in so many of her roles. )
She was an amazing human being. I love that in real life she was so shy and proper and mannerly, but played the funniest, bawdiest roles ever.
While portraying such iconic funny women, I think she had a very loving and humble heart. Really a class act! R.I.P.
She's lovely to look at; it's wonderful listening to that beautiful voice. Intelligence to boot.
What a charming delightful person, she is still making that powerful human connection.
I miss her so much
Ursa Minor I don’t think I’ve missed anyone more
she is and always was superb.
I'd choose her any time.

Her visage was so cleverly expressive, from one moment to the next. So charming.
She was wonderful.
Beautiful woman
You can smell the genuine in her, probably the worst trait you can possess in Hollywood

She's very pretty here (but thank goodness shoulder padding went out with the 80s).
