I have the impression of someone who has made strides to reinvent themselves. You appear comfortable attempting new things. Like vlogging on UA-cam. Sharing your life advice with those of us in our 50s and 60s is unique and inspiring. Thank you.
omg thanks for writing that ❤️ ❤️
This is inspiring. ✨Thank you Daphna. 😊 I'm in my 40s now. I've been living in different countries, attending university for almost 10 years (that costed me a fortune), and having 9-5 jobs in corporation (jobs that almost killed my soul. I can't do it anymore). However, I have always spent my money, being a spender, and never invested any money. Now I feel that it's time for me to invest and to have a passive income. I think that you have a good life quality when you have both time freedom and financial freedom at the same time. You give great advices. Thanks Daphna.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your journey. I'm glad to hear that you're ready to take that step towards building a passive income. I think its absolutely essential for us women to be on top of our financials. My warmest wishes to you
Time in the market! I'm 12 months in but planning to stick at it for at least the next fifteen years. 🤞
I have made huge financial changes in the past two years, tracking my income and expenses, setting a budget and starting to save. But I am still fearful of investing in the stock market... I feel like I need to know more. I will check out the books you recommend, I have seen some of them before. תודה דפנה
It's incredible to hear about the financial steps you're taking by tracking your finances. As for investing in the stock market, it's completely normal to feel unsure. Take time to educate yourself more, and keep up the amazing journey youre doing to financial success 💕 באהבה
Even with all the research in the world real risks remain. If you are in it for the long term - many years - then you will most likely come out ahead. But if you are older (or for some other reason won't be in it for many years), the risks increase proportionally in terms of not being able to recoup any significant losses that you do incur.
I think anyone that can predict the future is a liar but I think by looking at the world we're in for the greatest depression that the world has ever seen. If you don't hold it you don't own it. By gold and silver. Giving it 18 months. If you bought four years ago today you would average ten percent a year. If the economy collapses you will have money. I watch a tube Jewish guy Rafi Farber. Love your channel and you really are an inspiration, what you do, your move abroad, living your life to the fullest. I follow a few other creators that talk bout moving abroad but most are younger and their current situation/ lifestyle is not anything like mine. I so admire the knowledge you are sharing.
thanks for these nice words❤️
Wow, great tips! Would you please do a video explaining in more detail how you learned about investing and managing your money? I have no idea where to start, and I’m 59😱
more content coming, and I'm sooo excited to see what you think ❤️
Close by Praia do Barril or still West Algarve?
I used to own a reflexology office in São Brás de Alportel on my side...
Really nice place...
Hello from Paraguay 👋
I am from Australia and love your content. Thank you
Thank you so much for your support all the way from Australia! May I ask what is it about it that you like?
@@Daphna. Your endless pursuit and passion to explain investing simply
I’m curious to know why you chose Portugal over other countries?
I’m going to be 47 this year. I have been investing in the stock market for over 3 years, mostly on dividend earning stocks. I am planning on selling my house over the next 1-3 years, and putting my money mostly in the stock market. I’m hoping to be able to live off my dividends but I’m not sure if I will have enough. I am Canadian and hoping to have $450-$500k to invest. Do you think this is a good idea?
I am considering Costa Rica for this next chapter in life. What are your thoughts?
These are such wonderful questions! And thank you for your kind words and your support ❤️
Excellent!!!🎉🎉
What is your country of residence? How do you handle taxes?
A local accountant 😊 I live in Portugal
@Daphna. I meant if you're still a citizen of a different country, do you have to file and pay taxes in both countries like us US citizens?
@@patric5076 I can answer this one - most countries treat you as having left completely, no tax returns. As long as you're not left with complexities like real estate back in the old country. The US is very unusual in this regard, but I suspect countries like those in the EU will be looking to collect from their global citizens and may follow the US model soon
What a beautiful woman, and you look amazing..❤❤
Seriously , I just seen your video on UA-cam today , and clicked on it and thought what a beautiful strong independent woman , and you look amazing.. and I admire you for taking that step and making that choice and not being afraid to do so.. its definitely admirable....and I wish you all the best in life.. what a woman..
Do you hire someone to video you ?
So far its mostly me and my tripod. Sometimes my lovely friends
nice
😍
So may I ask some questions to be more clear? What are your income streams currently - I see you are talking about rentals? Do you have several properties that you rent out. Lets say you dont have this but have a business like me. im also interested in starting UA-cam.but not sure what or how to start or what to make it about. I consider anything from reaction videos to videos like yours. However Im really not sure how the algorithm would work as on some test uploads on UA-cam I literally got no views. What would you suggest to make life changing money. I see that many investment require a lot of money for little and return over time. Also what do you think of Bitcoin? Long term holding?
Hi, I'd recommend checking out my video where I discuss my income sources in more detail. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/2v9m1Gn2TZk/v-deo.htmlsi=z904Jnsk-OGx95lK. As for starting a UA-cam channel, I most definitely recommend it. I've made a video about it too. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/uWLUp4VR088/v-deo.htmlsi=rHoomv8YDJD-208s
I hope this helps!
@@Daphna. Thanks Daphne. Do you think I should make it about me and branded. People say don’t niche down. I’d like to do it about me (self branding)but also something along the line of reaction videos but I’m not sure they will go well together. What are your thoughts?
wealth to me is buying what i enjoy to eat at a grocery store and paying utility bills without worry. At the moment i am not working so being very frugal. I dont think a financial adviser could help - they are for rich people.
You’re doing well- taking care of yourself!!!
You forgot to mention children. Mine are definitely a financial disaster. 🙂
Haha, I hear you! Kids are definitely a financial adventure, right? But they're worth every penny😄
Yeah kids are huge financial burden but I guess the further you can drop your main expenses then it's easier to have more disposable.
Challenges I guess are school cost, travel cost, keep up cost.
They are a blessing regardless
Probably one of the best videos I have seen that clearly presents some key concepts of investing - while distilling them into actionable items.
Thank you for your kind words! 🙏 Your comment motivates me to do more of these videos
Thanks for your video. Are you a client of Domain Money?
Great video, could you share the books that helped you to get more financial literacy , thank you
That's a great idea, and I promise to share the books that have helped me with financial literacy. Thanks for the suggestion!
Read Millionaire Expat (3rd edition). Life changing, and since he's an ex-teacher, he knows how to make hard concepts simple.
Thank You Daphna ❤❤❤❤❤❤ You inspire me, Stay Blessed
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ THANK YOU for being here
Excellent short video summarizing many key points 🎉
Thank you
I have 0,00 Euro left each month to invest. I have even no money for cloth or so. 😂
I like to visit Portugal ❤
Are you investing in a socially and environmentally responsible manner?
Thats a very good question. Tell me more
@@Daphna. Basically, it means investing in stocks, bonds, markets, businesses, institutions, etc., that are socially and environmentally sustainable - i.e., *not* investing in stocks, bonds, markets, businesses, institutions, etc., that are socially or environmentally harmful. For example, environmentally, that might mean not investing in industries that harm or degrade the natural environment, or not investing in things that harm human (and non-human) health or life. Etc. Socially, it might mean investing in things/activities that promote social wellbeing - and *not* investing in things/activities that harm social wellbeing. A top-of-mind example in the news in recent days is the international student-led protests against any investments that support Israel, directly or indirectly, and its war and oppression against Gaza and the Palestinian people. So, that means not investing in any companies or industries or institutions that deal with Israel. The bottom line is that to be socially and environmentally responsible, avoid investing in anything that harms our planet and life on it, physically or socially. There countless examples of socially and environmentally harmful investment options. Research and consulting with socially and environmentally responsible investment consultants will lead you to options for responsible investment opportunities - there are many. Hope this helps.
@@Daphna. Excellent reply!!! 😂 u engaged without defensiveness or polarizing
thank you so much for the recommendation, will definitely check it out ❤️❤️❤️
I'll be in Coimbra from 15 of june, dinner?
I'll have to decline, but keep spreading the love and the positivity😊

Where is this in Portugal?
I see you're ready to explore Portugal! its full of these beautiful places. Have fun!
Looks to be the eastern part of the Algarve
@@VoiceOfThePlease do not mislead everyone. Afterall the true flavor is all near Porto :)
Thanks for your content. I really desire to be retire at early age too. Could you please teach us how to bye reliable dividends?thank in advance 🌸🙏🏻
I'm glad my content has resonated with you. Investing in dividend stocks can be a great strategy for building passive income. While I'm not a financial advisor, I can definitely share some general tips that may help you get started on your dividend investing journey. Look out for companies with a solid track record of consistent dividend payments and stable earnings growth. If you're new to investing, I would consider starting with ETFs that track dividend stocks in the stock market. Best of luck on your early retirement journey🌸📈
Thank you for your guidance 🌺🙏🏻
Yes!! I'm not the only spreadsheet geek! I have 2 spreadsheets that I update on a monthly basis. My cashflow that shows income and expenses for the month. And my balance sheet that shows my debt balances and asset balances. With these two sheets I'm able to see clearly my financial health. And it's also nice to look back and see how far I've come with paying down debt and accumulating assets :)
spreadsheet geeks unite😊yYou're absolutely right-it's soooo rewarding to look back and see the progress
