You know, I never really minded her looks. From some angles, she looks completely believable, interesting, and not ugly. But man, some shots are rough. Overall, the game looks like a more or less typical Ubisoft game - amazingly realized world, but formulaic gameplay and jank. I can enjoy AC Origins and Odyssey for their worlds alone; they really did well with depicting antiquity.
If they are gonna charge 130$ and openly admit that that we should get used to not owning or games then they should at the very least make a game with good gameplay.
This has been a theme I’ve seen since Breakpoint was puked out. The stock price started sliding after that- and subsequent titles were all just lazy copy paste turds.

Ubisoft is literally one of the worst developers to give an open world Star Wars game to. They struggle with writing compelling stories and interesting characters. Since Unity they just can’t make in game faces look good. They create some of the worst side quests in gaming. They never make great combat in any game, but somehow they outdid themselves with this game. Instead of using the huge lore of Star Wars and using all the weapons available they limit you to one blaster. Instead of playing as a bounty hunter, mandalorian, Jedi, Sith, literally anything else, they have you playing as the most boring Star Wars character possible. A scoundrel. What do scoundrels do? They run away from the cops and steal things. Wow. Thrilling. Only one vehicle to use as far as I can tell. You can’t ride creatures. It’s set in the same overused timeline of the empire. And no character creation. A game made in one of the most lore rich universes in fiction with hundreds of races, and you didn’t give us a character creator? This game sucks. It’s woke too. Kay Vess looks cool on the box art of the game, but in game she looks like she was mauled by a raccoon.
I'm sorry a 5 out of 10? For a game that softlocked you every time you picked it up? For a game that doesn't let you be an outlaw? For a game that has broken AI? In what world is that a 5 out of 10? 🤦🏽♂️
Ngl lie hopefully, they turn this shit around like Ghost Recon BreakPoint, they’ve done it before. Also here’s to hoping the two expansions are decent with variety.
That's the funny thing about Star Wars. To me, it's only good when it doesn't talk about the Skywalkers or Force all too much. Rogue One and Andor feels like actuar war in Star Wars. Gritty, dark, and more grounded into reality. The only time I really enjoyed seeing the force was during the Old Republic games and cinematics. Other than that, poor dialogue and generic scripts for the Skywalker Saga just don't captivate me. It just feels too much of a simple heroes journey map. If they brought elements of character development like from The Dark Knight Trilogy for both hero and villain for the Force, Jedi, and Sith, ground it into reality, that'd be dope. Idk, I like Star Wars, however, more grounded in Science-Fiction rather than Science-Fantasy. More plausible, thought out, grounded into reality movies, shows, and games. I wanna see Chris Nolan take a stab at it. It was rumored he'd try doing Halo, so who knows.
Mechanically, it just looks like Assassin's Creed with a different paint job. While I did enjoy the earlier versions of Assassin's Creed, I'm not going to buy Star Wars Outlaws because it gives off the same tedious vibe as the newer Assassin's Creed games.
At 12:12 he rants about the stealth being bad while showing gameplay of an area HE'S ALLOWED TO BE IN. The NPCs don't react to the character being there...BECAUSE SHE'S ALLOWED TO BE! Pathetic "journalism" there. At least show some actual stealth gameplay while moaning about it.
Bioshock had better security cameras than this game. Many times you can shoot an enemy and his buddy right next to him didn't even react. With stealth, you can literally duck behind a crate or whatever after shooting an enemy & they'll walk the opposite direction. And the actual stealth missions are boring & draw you out of immersion due to that stupidity of knocking out a Stormtrooper or whoever with a "bop" on the head. If you do get caught, you can easily just get the enemies to forget all about Kay. It's half-baked compared to Valhalla, by a very wide margin. And compared to even games over a decade old, like IDK Mass Effect or MGS or Splinter Cell...
"EA lost the Star Wars license!" YAY!!! "Ubisoft is making the new game." Oh f***.

Absolutely loving Outlaws. It's my personal GOTY and it's not even close.
Idk just feels like targeted hate. I've been playing 25 hrs so far and easily one of my favorites of the year. The exploration, questing, story , characters everything is amazing
You can cheese said reputation system to outright have all of them at max rep easily without having to try balancing them at all. Making the very system outright stupid.
I like how the protagonist punched helmeted stormtroopers unconcious instead of ya know..breaking her hand all the time. There are other flaws of course but that just sticks out imo..
Lost a bet, and now i gotta play this 😭
Another Andor fan :> I still can't believe this show came out under disney.
Star Wars outlaws makes me sad
Its a good game
@@gamerbeast3616nope 🤡
farts are breath taking too.
Star Wars Outlaws? More like Star Wars Outflaws
Honestly, I love the game so far. Maybe I was fortunate and didn’t have bugs. The worlds are immersive and they nailed the underworlds. Stealth I feel is a little stiff and facial animations I wish they could’ve done better. But overall I give the game a 7/10
This guy said that the performance is good lmao
Wait this game had potential? I knew this game was gonna flop after finding out Ubisoft got the star wars licencing.
This is why I pay yo azz! Good elaborate detail and thoughts!
Now when we fartnite'n? I wanna dem bot lobbies!
Ubisoft stinky
I have never seen so much hatred from the community for a game before. I can't tell if it's justified or if it stems from the bias that existed even before its release. Visually, it looks good to me. I want to buy it, but all this bias and negative reviews are discouraging me...
I get it. Criticism I have seen is valid, but it seems like some people just want to be assholes. Of course ubisoft's business practices and gameplay formula also play a role in a discourse and for a good reason. I will probably buy it onece the price drops a bit.
@@solin6725 You are right. You don't know what to believe. That's what happened to me with Dragon's Dogma 2. The negative reviews I saw were too many. However, I bought the game and enjoyed it quite a bit. I can't say it was a perfect game, but it wasn't as bad as it was portrayed. I will also wait for the price of Star Wars Outlaws to drop, and I will probably buy it. Because from what I saw, I liked it...
never seen so much hatred for a game before? i guess uve never heard of star wars battlefront 2, plus it’s ubisoft, they’ve shown time and time again that they don’t give a shit about ethics, anything they put out is going to get hated
Ubisoft still doing the same shit for years playing it safe just for the investors stop buying these games
Lego star wars was more diverse lol
Why do people keep saying everything sucks but Andor?? I think it all sucks including Andor lol
Because andor is good
@@leonrussell9607 ehhh I mean I’m glad others got enjoyment out of it, I was extremely bored myself.
I mean it doesn't look that bad, i'll have to try it sooner or later
13:40 The space flight in Lego star wars the skywalker saga is somehow better than this
Its fucking enraging that the last good rpg or open world star wars games are the old republic games that are nearly 25 years old
I'm sorry a 5 out of 10? For a game that softlocked you every time you picked it up? For a game that doesn't let you be an outlaw? For a game that has broken AI? In what world is that a 5 out of 10? 🤦🏽♂️
Good video and good review. thank you
Ngl lie hopefully, they turn this shit around like Ghost Recon BreakPoint, they’ve done it before. Also here’s to hoping the two expansions are decent with variety.
Its Ubisoft what did you expect.
But i guess the game has some good parts.
12:12 HE LOOKS RIGHT AT HER
This game could’ve been so good
I fell asleep playing this… that’s not like me at all
That's the funny thing about Star Wars.
Ghost Recon: Star Wars
Mechanically, it just looks like Assassin's Creed with a different paint job. While I did enjoy the earlier versions of Assassin's Creed, I'm not going to buy Star Wars Outlaws because it gives off the same tedious vibe as the newer Assassin's Creed games.
I think what makes kays design offputting for me is the hair.
I mean just ask the AH balacing team they seem to know a lot about the subject
Helldivers is better than outlaws by a long shot.
@@LeviMiller-t5s exactly. There is plenty of potential in HD, but the game is great even now.
Helldivers is still fun and can be saved, God willing
@@LeviMiller-t5sIt's still better even now lmfao
9:45 You’re in it, Kay! 😂👎🏿🗑️
Great review. I'll be giving this a wide birth 😅👍
Accessorizing your pet cat? Who the fuck is this game for? 8 year old girls?
why i only play japenese games:
I completely disagree. This game is awesome 👌
I liked the game tbh
Seeing the gameplay killed the interest.
But still enjoying this game a lot
people who expect innovation from Ubisoft are bigots
I think you should do a review for jedi fallen order
