I love how only Conrad is in the video and Michelle is nowhere to be seen besides the text messages.
Beautifully done. Can't wait to see you in Europe. 🖤
I love how they always have respect for the victims
its more powerful that way because it makes it seem like he is hearing dark voices when the entire time it was her... she was the devil on his shoulder whispering in his ear...
She is simply a scarf... Unimportant.👍
I love you ❤️

Just a fact. ;)
OH MY GOD I just realised something. I have goosebumps. At 3:38 when he says “I just don’t know how to leave them you know” he begins to get up and TAKE THE SCARF OFF! That’s representative of Conrad getting out of the car because he didn’t want to go through with it! Literally the hairs on my arms are standing to attention. And then for that awesome instrumental portion afterwards, “Michelle” has a *really* satisfied look on her face as the actor for Conrad begins to fall down to the floor again. Amazing. How many times I’ve listened to this song and watched this video and I haven’t caught that until now. Edit: I also reckon the part where she screams I love you now die at the end is when Michelle pretends she’s sad.
Ok, I'm a 56 year old grandmother of 4 and I LOVE this! Glad I discovered SKYND. Good music is ageless.
I'm about to turn 50 this year and I am obsessed with SKYND. I love it
It's real not fictional that's why I love it and her performances are outstanding

48 here! I love it too!! If you guys like SKYND, you may like Ice Nine Kills, it's more metal, but all the songs are horror themed and they're really good.
YES NANNAW ❤
This is fucking great. Very haunting, especially when you remember that all of the lyrics were taken from Michelle's texts. Great work.
So who is Michelle?

Can you imagine this psycho suing Skynd for using her texts, like "I wrote this, you copied my original work!"
I have a huge dislike for Michelle. She's just terrible.
It's a dark world we live in. Skynd is not afraid to aim a spotlight at the place that we all like to pretend doesn't exist. I'm here for it. I love it. It's far past time that someone used art in a tasteful way to make us not forget that the real monsters aren't the ones under the bed.
Real monsters hide you under a bed
This is exactly what I was thinking. This is true art...very well made, thought provoking and unsettling. The combination of which Makes IT fascinating.
It reminds me of Edwin Morgan's poetry when he was writing snap shot poetry...No celebration nor condemnation just what happened at that particular moment.
Bravo Skynd.
Yes, yes and yes! Most people are so afraid of the darkness and dark side of life and the psyche - it needs a place to be expressed freely. There have to be people that are unafraid of dealing with those things. It's essential. No light without shadow.

This must be the first song for someone who is still alive and free right now. It's great either way.

I love how she sways her hands during the "It will take 20 minutes" as if it is a give or take time. Michelle had no idea how long it would take. She just wanted it done.
She does this live too. I saw them last night and they were amazing!
Good take!
Nah you can look up carbon monoxide poisoning, guarantee you she did some research. Hemlock society.
Are you a doctor??,
I'm a survivor of someone trying to do this very thing to me back in high school, and suppressed the memories of it until pretty recently. He believed that she really loved him and that this was the best thing for him.
I think what saved me is I called her an hour after I took the pills and told her what I did. She sounded really annoyed when she said, "Well, go to the hospital."
Thinking back, she knew there'd be a phone record...
Hopefully you let this person go and is no longer in your life. I had a similar occurrence myself, and it nearly drove me to suicide multiple times. People like that have absolutely no business or say so in your life, and don't deserve to be around if all they're going to do is coax you into being so miserable that the only thing that'll give you any sort of relief is just dying from your own hands.

To make a song composedly entirely of her text messages is artistic freaking genius. And this video I actually cried. Especially the part 'turn it you'll be free, turn it on you'll be happy'. Just the symbolic representation of Conrad is heartbreaking. I struggle with mental illness/depression and this song man... hits me so hard. Very good job Skynd.
Honestly people like Michelle Carter deserve to be imprisoned for longer than she was given. If this kind of person starts pushing someone who's already on edge many people can die... I hope you will get well, remember that you matter

This music video is incredible. I think the cloth over Conrad’s face is Michelle’s and it represents how she basically suffocated him. It’s such a sad case and it’s horrible how Michelle got out of jail early
She also wore outfits with flower prints on them during the trial!
She never should’ve been released
I just watched the documentary "I love you, now die". her lawyer was convinced that it wasn't her fault but Michelle knew 100% of what she was doing. She pushed him to get back into that car, he was scared and started to back out and she ORDERED him to get back in the car and kill himself. I just don't understand why she never called the cops or even thought to get him some help. So tragic, rest in peace Conrad.
Look at all videos in relation people defend her and sympathise with her. We know why this is
Probs cuz she was a psychopath that craved a feeling of power. She wanted to know if she could actually manipulate someone enough for them to take their own life. Sad.
I've always felt great remorse for Conrad. No one should have had to have been stuck with her. Someone at the end of their rope was exactly what she wanted and exactly what she got. Great song. 🖤

This is art, and should be supported. The art universe sometimes showed the darkest topics, and shares the darkest events.
And the information was hardly private. It was made public when released by authorities. You would be surprised how much criminal information is public record.
@@Michael-jw6et Yeah but inspiration and how it's used in art is different than real life. A person might quite enjoy the LSD song or even enjoy LSD, but also acknowledge that they are in fact addicted. And if they see their fav artist recommending addiction helplines, they will most likely try them. That's what I think
@@Michael-jw6et It's not "dark, suicidal music" though. They're spreading awareness that the victim was in a VERY tough place in his life and others might be too, hence the mental health resources. He felt he had no other choice and others might feel the exact same way. There's absolutely nothing lame about them telling a story of someone who was in an immensely dark spot in their lives, and the only help they received was their loved one telling them to go on and commit. Skynd are spreading awareness, not glorifying suicide.
One of the many genius aspects of Skynd is how much creativity is put into the instruments and vocals. Not one sound is neglected. It really pulls out unique emotions into your psyche. High talent and vision.

There's really nothing special about this clip.
This is the lyrics are the text messages exchanged between Michelle Carter and her suicide boyfriend. She encouraged him to kill himself.
This song is a permanent monument to her sins. May it last forever. May she never know peace. AMEN!!!!!!!
pfft, "her sins". This is actually the weakest and least interesting topic and character out of the band's videos yet. "Her sin" is that they both were edgy teenagers with mental issues and both of them were on psychiatric medication and both of them had suicidal tendencies, so, like, what's so special about this? A suicidal girl urged a suicidal guy to commit suicide and he commits it... what a surprise. Meanwhile such character like Gertrude Baniszewski exists (she was a babysitter who convinced 10-15 year old kids to torture and murder a girl called Sylvia Likens that she was supposed to look after for several months, and forced Sylvia's own sister to take part in systematic several month-long torture)

And 7 years later she gets to live the rest of her life, with Conrad Roy a blip on her life screen... something is so wrong with this, he was backing out and shamed him/ bullied him... such a sad, sad story... rest in God's Arms Conrad; you had so much going for you, except the love of a family who cared about you, and friends who were actually enemies...my heart is just broken when I think of what you went through without a soul who mattered to you, on your side... seeing how happy you were, on the day you were promoted to captain, you wanted to live... sleep with the angels dear child, God's with you now ❤🤍💙
I love how Skynd's makeup in each video represents something about the crime.
In the video for Tyler Hadley, it was a big "NO" and a big clown like smile, representing the triggers/motives for his actions. (He was restricted by his parents and then went for the crazy freedom of a party).
In this one, it's entire white, no black lipstick or anything. My interpretation of it is that Michelle thought she was innocent and pure because she didn't get her hands dirty. Plus it adds to the overall foggyness that is of the form of death that Conrad suffered.
Amazing interpretation ♥️
Lips pale from suffocation
And the black eyes represent the evil in her actions
I love it. And the black, demonic face behind her is her true intentions.

Слухаю закритими очима ні про що не мислю це шедевр ❤
Да, вот только смысл этих песен печален... Основаны все эти песни на страшных и к сожалению реальных событиях.
This is honestly the most chilling song they've ever put out, for me personally. Suicide is an extremely personal matter to me and the idea that someone would take advantage of someone in one of the darkest places a person can possibly go is a terrifying thought. That said, this might also be my favorite song they've put out to date.
It's more complicated than that though
I’ve struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts since my teens and if I turned to someone to voice how I was feeling and they pushed me to do it the way she did with Conrad, I wouldn’t be here. Thankfully, I had people in my life that actually cared about me. Poor Conrad wasn’t so lucky.
Also, I imagine it to be quite grating after some time to deal with someone who keeps going on and on and on about wanting to commit suicide and then chickening out at the last moment. Especially when you're not mentally well yourself. Who knows how many times he'd done that before. Maybe she really did think death would be the better option. Maybe she did try getting him help before but he refused. We don't know everything. What she did was wrong, yes, but she's not some evil being to me. I honestly kind of get where she might have been coming from.
@@kam-lw4ez EXACTLY!!! Honestly I’m shocked that this girl has more haters than most ACTUAL cold-blooded murderers. When I was in high school my best friend was the only one I opened up to about wanting to cease my existence, so she was supportive and she found these left over pills for seizures that I could OD on because I told her that if that was an option that’s how I’d go. I she gave me them and told me if I really felt like I couldn’t go on she understood and I could at least go with dignity. Although I decided not to take the pills and that was over 6 years ago I’m really not upset at all at that friend because she understood that sometimes true “help” is to not try to prolong the suffering. It honestly makes me upset that if I had killed myself that friend probably would’ve been painted as some sort of monster by the media
A lot of the lyrics is words she said to him.
We live in a world where everyone is so obsessed with the killer, this leads to never knowing the victims, or even their names. I love that Conrad is the only one In this video, he's story always breaks my heart. SKYND always makes the victims story heard in their videos ,and tries their best to keep it respectful. RIP. Ikr, like it's an everyday thing. Also manipulation with the "pushing it off". And giving safety "it'll take 20 minutes", it's easy, fast and "painless". She knew what she did. Reduced sentences due to good behaviour need to vanish, they are rubbish.

Michelle Carter was released last year and will be off probation next year. They don't need a label, that just takes control away.
Labels unfortunately end up creating an identity that the artist is not. There are a few artists that I had fallen in love with prior to being signed. After they've been signed it's like, who the hell is this??? Although, there may be a few black sheep labels that allow the creativity and original personas to exist, but they are usually created by the artists themselves backed by a producer whose interest is in the artists and not how to assimilate into the mainstream fad.

All the actors in your music videos are phenomenal 😭😭
Those text conversations are so creepy because it sounds exactly like the conversations I've had with myself. Eek!
the way the song is almost as if he is hearing dark voices in his head when in reality its his friend/own girlfriend... she was the devil sitting on his shoulder whispering in his ear....
Imagine this is the first year that Michelle is released and all of a sudden a notification pops up on her screen and she faces this music video. I bet it would be hard for her.
That would be great. I hope she cries.
Michelle honestly is a victim. His parents are to blame. He suicide baited her for years. She gave in because of the emotional abuse. You can say why didnt she leave. She clearly loved him, she turned mental because emotional abuse. Crazy behavior like that just doesnt come out of no where. His father and mother checked out completely. His mother even KNEW where the suicide site was and his father beat him. There is way more to this case, what she said was horrible. But honestly she is a victim. Circle of abuse.
@@madamehearse9379 she's not a victim here, you psycho
@@madamehearse9379 He didn't emotionally abuse her. He didn't suicide bait her. He was genuinely suicidal (clearly, he died), and he had a prior attempt from before. It's kinda messed up you assume that someone who struggles with chronic suicidality must automatically be "baiting" someone. There are fewer words to say you lack empathy for suicidal people.
@@madamehearse9379 bless your heart... that was a stupid thing to say.

Loving the new Gacy video brilliant 👏 👌
I once stopped someone from ending it just by texting them out of the blue, back in HS. We ended up hugging it out. Last time we spoke he's doing much better and in a good state of mind. This song hit me different than all the others.
It feels really weird to have someones life in your hands right? In one snap you can totally change everything...
Thank you for being a decent human being, and having a heart. Sometimes all it takes for someone to turn their lives around is to be heard. Sometimes people with depression find ot easier to talk to people outside the family. Such a shame Conrad found someone who encouraged him to end it all. 😢
Bless you, dear.
Omg, I can't imagine those weight on your shoulders. It feels unreal I guess, but also horrible to having such an influence. That bitch M.C probably felt like God.

Ну наконец-то!! Чёрт возьми, все их клипы гениальны. Жуть как страшен смысл, но охренеть как всё это звучит) Обожаю ребят)
Раньше любимый клип из их творчества был Tyler Hadley.

Поддерживаю, они прекрасны👍
Интересно, как родственники погибших относятся к их творчеству. Это же все таки использование чужого горя.

The more I watch this video, the more I am impressed by its concept, production quality and editing. This is definitely one of the best music videos I've seen lately.
I discovered this band by accident, and it was a phenomenal discovery, a very cool and different band. Man this woman really scares me, which is amazing for a band! And the fact that each song is from a real story is really fascinating.
To me this isn’t music. It’s a symphony. It’s a story. She’s a great artist, she knows how to take something so dark & turn it around into a story. Alway love this! Keep it coming!!
Yes, but let's not forger 'Father' the other band member that writes the music. He is never seen, but he is the one that writes and arranges the music.
As always, incredible visuals, superb track. I just love what you're doing since day one. ⚜️
at first i asked myself why didn't they use a white scarf the same color as the air in his truck but then i realized the flower pattern is more chilling because its pretty and innocent and this is how conrad viewed michelle and the scarf is basically michelle wrapping around him making him die... it fits...and artistically creative
Dude its official.... I love this band to death
Thank you for making Conrad's story immortal. That's the true power of art. And I believe one day I'll be able to watch this video without crying.
This one hits really hard. I didn't watch the HBO documentary beforehand so I did a bit of research and I stumbled upon the texts transcripts and it broke my heart... She was obsessed with "helping" him end his life. Everyday they talked, she tried to push him... The sick thing is, she claimed she loved him and wouldn't ever leave him while trying to convince him to commit suicide. The poor guy was desperate and he died thinking at least his girlfriend cared about him.
I probably wouldn't be there anymore if it weren't for my girlfriend that somehow managed to make me want to live again. And it breaks my heart to see such a grim and twisted version of what I've lived.
I've gone down the Conrad and Michelle rabbit hole and there's A LOT of coincidences with her obsession with glee and Lea Michelle. I read their whole texts transcripts not just the last day of his life, but months and months before. Here's what I've come across so far. 1. Michelle said "Their song" was a lea michelle song about Corey Monteith ("you're mine"), also saying the song she made about his death ("if you say so")reminded her of him.2. She used lea Michelle's actual quotes on her and Corey's relationship (when he was alive) and her grief over losing Corey to conrad like they were her words and she also did this to other people when talking about Conrad. 3. When trying to give suggestions on ways to commit suicide she asked if he could could get heroin to OD on , which is how Corey died. She never mentioned any other illegal drugs to try. 4. She was pushing him so much harder than usual on the day of and before, because it was the anniversary of Corey's death. Conrad passed July 12th, Corey passed the 13th. There's A LOT more, but this is just what I can think of now. I'll update more. It seems the death of Corey and his character Finn on glee and her obsession with lea michelle was more real to her than conrad was. She saw how lea was getting tons of sympathy and love and I think she wanted to be her. Some kind of twisted munchhausen by proxy and glorifying the narrative of someone losing their "love" to suicide and everyone beingthere for her, their sympathy and attention, thats the key word... attention. Totally twisted and sick.
wooahh that's crazy and actually makes a lot of sense. do you happen to have the transcripts of their conversations? i can only find ones from the exact day.
Ultimately the state punishes her as guilty while exonerating itself of any guilt over the absolutely broken and dysfunctional healthcare (and especially mental healthcare) system we have in the United States.
If this country actually gave a fuck about people's lives, Conrad wouldn't have been in such a vulnerable position to be pushed towards suicide by Michelle, and Michelle may have been given better resources to allow her to live in the real world rather than a fantasy one.
I've been in this suicidal place and the resentment I have towards the people who tried to "help" me hang onto existence within this nightmarish world is real and valid. Actually, it is the entire society that is sick, we have inter-generational trauma to deal with, we have incredible atrocities and genocides and other wrongs that need to be taught and never repeated, focusing on just one individual and the texts she sent to her friend is extremely myopic. It IS possible to live happy in this world, either by ignoring the brutish contradictions that crush people under it's weight, or accepting it and finding a rationale to continue anyway, but I can't fault anyone who wants to check out.
@The Weapon Collection I personally don't think so, on the documentary even the guy who writes for Esquire mentioned her obsession and the impact it had on her, I just dug deeper and did some research. It really puts a lot into perspective reading the whole transcript.
@@KtVogtF I couldn't have said it better myself. I've been there too, and I completely agree on our current mental health issues. Its so hard to get proper help, and it's stigmatized to the point of people not wanting to admit they have mental health issues. I've been dealing with PTSD and DDNOS, as well as severe anxiety, depression etc. since an incident when I was a child. We definitely need to work on our mental health care to maybe prevent situations in the future.
Yikes 😬
SKYND you are literally the greatest and most original band I have seen in a while.
Nevermind my earlier comment I actually now get it from watching other videos from Skynd, each song is about a killer or murder that happened, I'm new to Skynd, but instantly I'm in awe
Holy crap, this one is darker than the serial killer based ones...
I love it!
Yes, darker. And more impressive.
This case was one that really broke my heart, honestly.
I'm speechless, I've never been so mesmerised. What you are doing is incredible, I can't wait to see and hear more. This is revolutionary in so many ways, whilst maintaining respect to the victims. Truly an amazing artist 🖤
When she says "I love you" I get uncomfortable chills. Its so eerie and enchanting at the same time, like a spell is being cast. It's deeply unsettling how the sweetest words you can hear can be used to hurt someone. This song is about a woman who literally used them to destroy another human being. Christ.
Everytime I say to myself that this band can't surprise me anymore and I'm always wrong. So much talent, creativity, a good research and BOOM a masterpiece. You're amazing as always
Skynd never disappoints. Every songnis brilliance.
Amazing! Towards the end, her sound reminds me of Maria Brink :0
You don't have to worry about the monsters under your bed because the real monsters are some of the people you might walk passed everyday and that's the scary part. Love how they turn murders into songs
Черт возьми, наконец-то вышел новый клип! Спасибо Вам, Вы гении своего дела;))
A hauntingly beautiful song. You really proved yourself with this song that you don't want to glorify the killings. You want people to remember what happend so that it will never happen again.
Also the male figure in the video is extremely beautiful with his movements. The whole video is perfect with the song.
i love their art... they are very respectful in my opinion... the videos are more powerful than the song... i think jim jones is one of their best but like em all
@@kimmyfreak200 I get what you mean. Their songs are art. It's research and finding a way to make the song respectful and making sure nobody will forget it.

Having been there myself before, when news of the case came forward, it was damaging on another level. Hearing this brought me to tears, but for the tribute to Conrad. And that we will never forget what a monster she is. R.I.P. Conrad. Thank you SKYND.
