"Call it yin and yang, call it Sturm und Drang." Seriously one of the best and smartest lines in a song that I've heard in a while. Excellent lyrics, ma'am. Can't wait to finally see you and Father live!

You're one of the most interesting musical talents I've seen in a long time. And I love some truly weird shit. You're incredible. Keep doing what you're doing.
Billie Eilish is about as creepy and dark as she can be while still being mainstream. The mainstream is too limited by the need of record companies to make money and their fear that taking artistic risks endanger that, it means sacrificing freedom of creative expression, and so not the best environment for artists to thrive in. I think Billie would have been better off underground, and I think in a few years, she'll probably feel that way too.
I really like the back and forth lyrics hidden in here from victim to killer. "Oh my. Oh why. Not" His parents screamed why and Tyler responsed why not.
These murders happened on July 16, 2011, at 5 p.m., in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Tyler Hadley, 17, had severe mental problems. He takes 3 XTC pills and goes to his mother, Mary-Jo. He starts beating her with a hammer. Hearing screams, Tyler's father, Blake, runs to the scene. Tyler beats his father also to death. He spends three hours cleaning up the mess. Then, Tyler makes a Facebook post letting people know that he is hosting a party that night. About 60 people gather for the party. That night, Tyler shows his best friend, Michael Mandell, the master bedroom with the blood and the 2 bodies in that room. Tyler is sentenced to life in prison.
I live in Port St Lucie I vividly remember these murders it was the one time this town was actually noticed other than being filled with drug addicts and senior citizen homes Port St Lucie actually was on a word article in rolling Stone who would have fucking thought that great video though
I am subscribed to coffeehouse crime, a channel that had a video on this guy. I only now clued in as to why the name sounded familiar in this song. Holy. Fuck.
I could be wrong but I think that they said in an interview at Download that Katherine Knight wouldn't have a video, since Jim Jones and Tyler Hadley both have theirs and they said that the other songs in the album wouldn't have videos. Which is understandable since it takes a long time to make these videos. I think on her IG she was posting selfies in her outfits for this video back in...March I think? EDIT: They did say no video. The interview wasn't at Download though.
@@Deviantel Can't say I agree. Lam and Hadley songs are on par to me, however both Remirez and Heidnik songs are superior to Jones and Knight songs. Knight seems the weakest of the 6, and Jones, while really great, doesn't really feel like a Jim Jones song at all.

I’m so thankful for SKYND, I don’t have this empty alone feeling in my heart when I listen to SKYND🖤 ( I’ve gone through a sad tragedy as a child, SKYND helped me cope ) This world is not perfect, lots of bands avoid topics that SKYND embraces, SKYND is my hero!! 💋🖤♥️ I’m so in love with SKYND, wish I could see them live, for now I will continue to love & share them to everyone I come across! Thank you SKYND, sorry for TMI but your music truly made me feel better about what’s happened in my life.. 💋
I just saw them an hour ago in Toulouse. The premiered for Ice Nine Kills. I'm so glad I got to know them, they were so good. Such an amazing stage presence.
Oh, that sounds like the energy would have been unhinged with that lineup! Was it just those two, or was there a similar band to round it out? Envious of your experience, hoping to see them some day
I've never been so conflicted about an artist. I've been thinking about Skynd at work all day trying to work out if the lyrics and videos glorify or glamourise the events, or raise awareness and force people like me to work it out as art is meant to do. Anyone else?
idk.. the lyrics are actual words used in the events.. so facts isnt really glorifying.. im glad it doesnt get as many dislikes for sure tho.. its very hard to find original content with anything.. and they've made a whole new genre of music ♥
That'd be cool! If I wasn't so paranoid about downloading the episodes I'd have made a video with AHS to at least one of her tracks now I've discovered her
just realized the shot at 1:32 looks a lot like the last supper, which is fitting if you think about it. the dinner where jesus announced one of his followers would betray him, like how tyler hosted a party where he showed the bodies to his best friend. idk
I should be sleeping right now to get up for work, yet here I am listening to different songs, reading the subject matter and then looking at the lyrics to make specific connections
whenever i talk about this song with someone i can never shut up about how much i love the 'sturm and drang' line. if you compare the case and Tyler's motives with the key aspects of the Sturm und Drang movement you see how amazing this reference is. Skynd is a genius for coming up with that 🖤
1:29 Such a perfect moment with this demon/god of death character standing there in the middle while everyone else around is indulging in hedonism. Like a powerful malevolent being running around corrupting people just basks in the glory of her achievement. Such a powerful moment. I also love how she's looking from 4:26 onwards. As if she's done here, destroyed the lives of this entire family and ready to move on to the next subjects to corrupt.
Indeed, at first I though she is more of a spectator to what Hadley did. But I also think she is kind of a demon character, driving him into the killing frenzy and the madness to party on and on an on, while he left the bodies rotting upstairs.
I am so addicted to Skynd right now. They are on constant repeat on my Spotify and I have seen their videos multiple times. As a criminal justice major, I feel like they write the soundtrack for my studies.
The ending with the “why the f not” is bone chilling. Love the song, it’s even more creepy when you know the Tyler Hadley case. A friend of mine was in county jail with him not long after he was arrested.
This was amazing! I love the fact that a lot of time has been put into the research for this. I got pure chills at the end when he was silently screaming “why the fuck not?” It was a final touch to a terrifying and awful story that you have so wonderfully portrayed. Bravo! I can’t wait to see more!
What research did you think was put into this? Besides seeing a simple google search. Seeing the lyrics, as well as knowing Hadley and his home, this is just idiotic and only pressing for fame. I have yet to see their other songs but I am sure they’re just the same as well.
Maxwell Kleine if you look into the lyrics and into the other songs she’s done, there’s things in here that you wouldn’t know from just a google search, she looks at these stories from all perspectives takes that then writes about that and is able to add in details that take time to research, also googling things is a type of research, just apparently not one you like. I think you shouldn’t come at people when they’ve done nothing to you or you don’t know any better. I support the band because I think she is doing something no one else has done or is brave enough to do. Drag the darkness out to expose the underbelly of the beast, showing the world for what it really is. Because it is cold, cruel and ugly. There is brutality in this world we cannot hide away anymore. Happens more every day lately. So my hats off to her she’s amazing. And that’s all I have to say. You don’t like the music or her subject of choice? Leave. But don’t come at me and complain about my comment when it’s none of your business and frankly you’re only looking to start an argument with what you said. Do not belittle me or think I cannot defend myself I will not be made to feel I don’t have a voice.
I felt the same way when he video recreated the picture of tyler posing for the pic with his best friends with the orange cup. he had just shown his friend the bodies. the actors did a really good job capturing the shock and soullessness of them both.
You're one of the best and more creative bands i've listened so far. It's truly amazing how you blend the mind of a psychopath with this crazy (and awesome) music you do. I loved Chapter 2, waiting for Chapter 3 haha Cheers from Brazil. ❤
I had never heard of Tyler Hadley until after I stumbled on this video. The thing that makes this so horrifying is that you would expect the carnage and brutality of an event like this to come from a life or death fight between two soldiers in the middle of some war-torn part of the world. Instead, it happened in a peaceful family home decorated with photos and banal modern day things; and it happened for the most trivial of reasons. The idea of gruesomely ending your parent's lives, and as a consequence your life, just to throw a fucking party is perfectly portrayed in the video, music, and lyrics of this song. It reminds me that grotesque and terrifying things like this can happen for the most ridiculous reasons and if people want to ignore it, they are only ensuring that they continue to happen. Mental health is an often dismissed topic in the U.S. but there's a quote from the movie Se7en that uncomfortably hits the nail on the head in this regard. John Doe: Wanting people to listen, you can't just tap them on the shoulder anymore. You have to hit them with a sledgehammer, and then you'll notice you've got their strict attention.
I'm going to a concert with Ice Nine Kills very soon and saw that these guys are support. I wanted to hear a bit of their music to find out what I'm up for. Needless to say, I am about twice as hyped for this concert now as I was before. This song along with a handful of Skynd's others fucking slap! I'm going to roar at you guys and give the best energy!
There's a lot of people fascinated by that. Sadly it's a taboo and people assume we're fucking psychopaths because we're fascinated by them, so we just keep that for us instead :(.
Yeah one of my teacher was also fascinated by them, she pointed me towards Stéphane Bourgoin's work and i've been reading most of his books since. Funny thing is she's specialized in children books, but she got me into Mindhunter too. All of that to say it's not as weird as it seems Lol.
The music is far greater than the tv show they they shovel . This happened les than 2 miles from our house I have a kid that went to school with him . Florida we do things differently here in the last free state .
I feel like why this appears to so many people is the same reason I personally enjoy Korn: It appeals to the darker side of us. It soothes the repressed anger and hate stuck in the Jungian shadow
I love skynd's music videos, they have an eye for aesthetics. I particularly like the particular scene beginning at 1:31 as it reminds me of the christian painting "The Last Supper" If it was inspired by that, I absolutely adore this band even more. If it was coincidental, I hope they adapt my interpretation into the video.
I comment this vid because this song was the first one I've heard and I like it. And I want to confess, it is absolutely what I've been looking for. I always loved stories about serial killers. I've read a lot of them, watched a lot of videos, interviews and so on. And now you make this music, full of the darkest energy it can be, and my devil inside is so happy now! I love it and I wish you endless inspiration. Do what you do, it's great and we all love it. My belarusian heart is yours ♥

Thanks Jonathan Davis for making me a SKYND fan.
Thats how i came across her as well
same
I came to SKYND from Nyxx 🤷🏻♂️
same, found Skynd long ago when I was searching UA-cam for songs featuring J Davis lol
Thanks SKYND for making me a SKYND fan.
Skynds music is art. Well, researched and collaborated well. She is a medium for the victims. Its not any different then a nursery rhyme but full of truth, talent and killer aesthetic and jams Thank you Skynd and Father. Come to the USA ❤❤
I'm 50 years old now.
According to everything I've read, according to everyone I know, my "musical style" should have been locked in about 30 years ago, give or take a few years.
But O MY GOD, I hear Skynd and I'm all *shuddershiverlove*
Amazing sound, incredible working, and the way Skynd approaches the subject matter is (grrrr, sat here for 5 minutes and still can't put into words the way their approach to the subject matter makes me feel).
Saying it's amazing and awesome and artistic just sounds hollow, I truly don't have words to properly express.
Please oh please come to the Pacific Northwest, USA
Im 51. My music taste is unique, and includez music from 1000s of years ago to this very moment, from several genres, from all over the world. I agree with your comment. I feel u, I, and the rest of an alr8y huge fan base are witnessing an evolution of music/entertainment. This collab is GENIUS. And yes, she should sing more in her own voice.
BTW, Mr. Corax, if u feel it would be ok, get me on Fbook. I'd like to get some song/artist recommendations. I'm always looking for new & new2me artists, and i think i have a few you mite like. Chkout son luxe and/or glass animals.
I'm also from the Pacific Northwest.
your names a wh40k refrence, right?
I'm 32 years old and I feel the same way.
This was a psychological rollercoaster. The imagery fit the sound perfectly, beautifully done. Best thing to wake up to EVER!
Freak
I'd say, for my part, it would be nicer to wake up to you than this song. Each to their own though... 😆
divinefallfromgrace That’s just creepy dude.
This is just so infectious, it's so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@divinefallfromgrace That was the weakest thing I've read in a long time.
"Call it yin and yang, call it Sturm und Drang." Seriously one of the best and smartest lines in a song that I've heard in a while. Excellent lyrics, ma'am. Can't wait to finally see you and Father live!
Oh no way, someone has the same surname as me! But, agreed the lyrics are haunting aswell as genius
What's up Bethany Eldred? You are beautiful
Thanks..?
Bethany Eldred Just Saying.
she called it "ying and yang" because its just wrong lol
Charles Manson-by Skynd ft Marilyn Manson needs to happen. This was awesome. Also would love to see your take on the Zodiac Killer.
Ink Ognito420 Charlie don’t surf.....
Ink Ognito420 I so agree
Yessss!!!
Sorry, charles manson wasnt a killer
I want dahmer
I love this song. I love Marina Ortega! She's beautiful, dark, intense, dramatic, the whole band is packed with talent to the 🐟 gills. I think they deserve more recognition than they get, but they don't conform to mainstream media and mindless sheep. I appreciate your group. What you do is art.
Die antwood are so creepy,
SKYND: Hold my hacksaw.
But die antwoord is amazing🙄🤚
Hahaha....that would be a great show live!
@@brooklynvlogs9165 die antwoord is trash. The literally groomed, trafficked and sexually abused zheani
@DatDapperDoggo man wtf does that have to do with the fact that they DID do that to Zheani? They can't even go to Australia anymore because of it. Facts have fuck all to do with ur struggles.
Die Antwoord are pathetic posery losers.
You hide your obvious vocal talent behind effects, to create a mood. You hide your obvious beauty behind costume and makeup, to tell a story.
You're one of the most interesting musical talents I've seen in a long time. And I love some truly weird shit.
You're incredible. Keep doing what you're doing.
Well except for Richard Ramirez. Her vocal abilities are on full display there.
i think its dumb when people on a youtube directly address an artist with some stupidness like you have a job as ANR form Warner music lol
Director: which special effects do you want ?
SKYND: yes.
@Words Retain Power "waaaaa, someone said a thing someone else said!"
@Words Retain Power Now I see your "thing".
"It's not an original comment" is your thing. You keep doing that over and over,.
Gotcha ;)
@@YourOldPalDP Exactly. Mr "10k likes" is a one trick pony
@@1005corvuscorax I feel kinda silly for saying. I honestly did not understand that.
Kids: Billie Eilish is creepy

Skynd: hold my criminal study papers
Words Retain Power Come up with something more clever that gets 140 likes and a heart by Skynd.
Eric Williamson so true
Gen Xers: BANG BANG BOOGIE BOOGIE BANG BANG
who is poppy?
Billie Eilish is about as creepy and dark as she can be while still being mainstream. The mainstream is too limited by the need of record companies to make money and their fear that taking artistic risks endanger that, it means sacrificing freedom of creative expression, and so not the best environment for artists to thrive in. I think Billie would have been better off underground, and I think in a few years, she'll probably feel that way too.
I really like the back and forth lyrics hidden in here from victim to killer.
"Oh my. Oh why. Not"
His parents screamed why and Tyler responsed why not.
Thank you, I thought it was about Zachary Davis lol
I am subscribed to coffeehouse crime, a channel that had a video on this guy. I only now clued in as to why the name sounded familiar in this song. Holy. Fuck.
The party kept going on because his parents were dead and in the other room, the lyricism, attention to detail.. I am beyond floored.
@@metalcrip89 Ms. Hadley was my secondary teacher at Village Green in first grade . I will never forget that. Never.
Can't wait for the Katherine Knight video...
That superman hammer lung is awesome.
Right? I didn't expect something like that.. this is probably my favorite MV from SKYND so far, and that's hard to say as all of them are fantastic!
@@BelaCharm You're correct. No video for Katherine Knight.
@@kristinc2313 it's sad though because I love their videos ;_;
CherryChuu update: she just said on her insta story that there will now be a video for Katherine Knight too.
It has just the right amount of hammers and boogie-bang-bangs. Love it!
God all the songs for chapter 2.
Bring on chapter 3.
Right? Chapter I was great, but this is a huge step up. It's a masterpiece EP. :)
dude, we need that spicy video of Cat doing things
Bring on the entire book!
SKYND + Marilyn Manson + Rob Zombie = my eardrums drooling. The musical collaboration that needs to happen.

@skynd as long as i'm a fan of you, and as much as i listen to your work, I keep coming back to this song.... THIS is your BEST work ever!! 😍😎🥰
Another song, another masterpiece. Its So diferent from anything else. I love it. Czech Republic love you
Hell yeah! Come here and lets make some great show!
Masterpiece describes her music perfectly
+1 looking forward to Skynd visiting Czech republic!
That chunkyness of that guitar riff though. Makes the song heavy..
Sweet so excited for this. My fav song from the chapter 2
Envious of your experience, hoping to see them some day
This is what it means when an artist wants to perform their art but it's not what the mainstream wants
Thank you for saying this bc I think they were well intentioned but the outcome won’t be so great. Song just makes me want to kill
This is my favorite song from Skynd.
Dude, they need to get Skynd to do the soundtrack for American Horror Story
For Mindhunter also
@@cristinai.8099 Ohhh I forgot about Mindhunter! That would be pretty cool.
Yeah they needed to use her Richard Ramirez for this season but it wont happen.lol
That'd be cool!
If I wasn't so paranoid about downloading the episodes I'd have made a video with AHS to at least one of her tracks now I've discovered her
Skynd needs to stick to the real life good guys not TV. Go out and make them proud ;)
The shots in this video are breathtaking. Special props to whoever chooses Skynd's clothes, the fashion is always on point.
just realized the shot at 1:32 looks a lot like the last supper, which is fitting if you think about it. the dinner where jesus announced one of his followers would betray him, like how tyler hosted a party where he showed the bodies to his best friend. idk
Absolutely agree! Nice catch
Tyler hadley. One hell of a party. 🤟🤟😎
Did your friend have any stories
@@maebeline2496 a few minor ones
Bet he wasn't so macho without the drugs
@@bree140 no clue. He had developmental issues as a kid growing up. His background is well documented.
I loved Chapter 2, waiting for Chapter 3 haha
Cheers from Brazil. ❤
@ Se vc não liga mesmo, vamos ver se você vai procurar o que isso significa: VAI TOMAR NO MEIO DO SEU CÚ!
Olha um br💜 é uma alegria pra mim saber que não sou a única brasileira que escuta essa banda

Your songs make me feel less weird about getting excited talking about serial killers cause you sing about them. Lol.
There's a lot of people fascinated by that. Sadly it's a taboo and people assume we're fucking psychopaths because we're fascinated by them, so we just keep that for us instead :(.
I would love to talk about serial killers maybe we shod all start a group
Yeah one of my teacher was also fascinated by them, she pointed me towards Stéphane Bourgoin's work and i've been reading most of his books since. Funny thing is she's specialized in children books, but she got me into Mindhunter too. All of that to say it's not as weird as it seems Lol.
i like talking about them too. theres just something infatuating about it.

I feel like why this appears to so many people is the same reason I personally enjoy Korn: It appeals to the darker side of us. It soothes the repressed anger and hate stuck in the Jungian shadow
3:47 SKYND hits that “BANG BANG BOOGIE BOOGIE BANG BANG” with such authority!
This song is so good! I just can't stop listening to it. My favorite from chapter 2
I love skynd's music videos, they have an eye for aesthetics. I particularly like the particular scene beginning at 1:31 as it reminds me of the christian painting "The Last Supper"
If it was inspired by that, I absolutely adore this band even more.

You should hear this song live if you ever get the opportunity!! It's outa this world
You should do one for the Giggling Granny, Jeffery Dahmer, Andrea Yates, so many. I worked with Andrea Yates as a correctional officer. She still cried for her kids even though she drowned all of them to protect them from the devil
She seemed to have the worst case of postpartum I've ever heard of , she was skizo defective too I believe. I'm shocked she's not in a mental health facility. No one will convenience me the husband didn't know she needed help, my opinion he should be charged too. She needed help.
Her husband is more responsible than she is, IMO. He was the mentally healthy one and he left her alone with them. She needed serious help.
Andrea Yates suffered from Post Partum Psychosis
Andrea's husband was using religion to keep her from a doctor and just impregnated her back to back to back. She was never able to get over the first bout of post partum before getting pregnant again.
Dementedbird a band called macabre already covered Jeffrey Dahmer. it's even the name of one of there albums. There older, 89' to 2000 era death metal band that only sang about seriel killers.
