Very kool use of the black on the white background to enable 3d lifting of the flames. Sweet touch chap. Looks like a day fire - limited glow.

I found if you mix 30 drops of lemon yellow candy and 3 drops of blood red it makes a awesome bright orange ! Like a mid tone for a Halloween pumpkin or something along those lines ! And maybe then go in with the lighter candy orange after and before the yellow and like a beautiful “ HOT SPOT “ add to the flame lick !

I like the cut out shapes thar you designed into the middle of your templates all the ones I have seen to order are just blobby shapes that only utilize the outside rim

Ah awesome! Great to see you play around with the Candy H2o stuff! (finally!) This was a really interesting video of yours for me, having gone through the mill on these products and pretty much doing the same panel flame work. Personally Im not so keen on the black burnt effect on a white panel, my mind seems more comfortable with a black panel (but hey, were all different right, thank god). I was really surprised you got away with light coats of bleed checker from an airbrush, I had to use a mini gun and lots of coats or it bled through onto new layers of white/light. (I know you used the 4030 as the checker, which is fine and I saw the query from someone else re using the actual named bleed checker product, you dont need that product and the 4030 is fine), but my larger airbrush just didnt lay enough coats down to stop bleed. So it did surprise me. I love your light hand and subtle licks, very skillful indeed. I still have to stop myself over using the templates and creating awful hard lined 'blocks' of flame. So how did you feel about the Candy H2o candy? I ended up painting my whole Austin panel van in deep dark purple h20 candy, 8 layers over silver ali base. Cost a bloody fortune!
Many thanks for your comment mate, I used the 4030 to mix with the Candy and then reducer for every 10 drops of candy I added 3 drops of 4030 and then about 5 drops of reducer. To seal the Candy in between layers I used the Wicked transparent base which worked fine using a HPCS eclipse with a 0.35mm needle, I am sure there are other ways to do it but this worked for me . All in all I did like the Candy 2’0 it did perform like a usual urethane dye which is great 👌🏻

Are the Trident colors, transparent or opaque? Can I use Wicked instead of Trident, as I already have Wicked transparent and opaque black red and white? I also have a large collection of Creatix Auto Air Candy colors, but haven’t tried the Candy 2 O yet.
You didn't use the Createx Bleed Checker ?? Cost ?/Time ?? Both ?? was your clear base coat 4004 ?? Thanks

Hi there I didn’t base the Alu panel it was just the white that was on there already. I only used what came in the particular set that I showed as I didn’t have the bleed checker, all in all I was happy with the way everything worked ie candy, balancing clear (4030), reducer and then trans base to seal in between layers .

What is the 4030's purpose?
Hi mate, following this video and ive had a go at doing some real fire using createx colors and the candy 2.0, so i have the 4030 Balancing Clear and 4012 Reducer as you used in this video, at 15:03 you use a Transparent Base,, is that the Createx Bleed Checker ? ive just bought some because i think this is what you spray over each candy layer to stop it `bleeding` through when you apply another colour, am i correct ? if so do you apply the Bleed Checker straight out the bottle neat or does it have to be reduced first? your advice would be appreciated mate, cheers.
Thanks for your comment , I actually used the transparent base by wicked colors to seal in the candy and I do mix this with reducer. I haven’t used the bleed checker but I believe it may be a similar thing ? Just do a quick test before you use it on your artwork but hope that helps 👍🏻
@@AirbrushAsylum cheers for the reply mate, i do appreciate it, i`ll see if i can get some transparent base as well, bleed checker should be here this week so i can crack on with that and give it a try, just ordered an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS so looking forward to trying that when it comes to see if i can get some detail work done, i have a 1001 questions to ask so i hope you don`t mind if i pop up now and then to pick your brains LOL, cheers again buddy, be safe.
