I always boil water so it can be hot and melt away all the sticky stuff. It cuts down on the scrubbing . Thanks for sharing.
Or a steamer works really well too
Good idea!
How do you use the boiling water in the fridge?
@@vi9763 I dip my scour daddy sponge in the bowl of hot water . Then scrub the sticky areas . The sticky stuff comes off very easily because the water is very hot . Use some thick rubber gloves so the water won’t burn your hands .
@@natural_niky
I'll try that next time.
Thanks for answering 👍🏽
Thank you for posting this. I was never taught how to clean, and my parents are elderly so they can't really put in the work to clean things anymore. I just cleaned our fridge and found stuff that expired in 2016. It was worse than the one in this video. That drill brush looks quite handy I'll definitely have to get one :)
I just did a super deep clean of our refrigerator this week. I have been inspired by your videos to get those big things done and I really appreciate all your tips!
Everything should be cleaned from the top down. Then all drips and crumbs that fall will not fall on already cleaned areas. Also, don't be intimidated about pulling a fridge away from the wall. The wheels make easy work of it. When cleaning a fridge, also empty and clean the condensation drip pan underneath, and also use a long handled skinny brush to clean the back and bottom which tend to collect lots of dust. Fridge tops can be greasy. Formula 409 cuts it instantly and completely. Textured fridge handles are cleaned fast and easily with a magic eraser type sponge. Always sweep, soak and mop the floor underneath while the fridge is pulled away from the wall. Lots of dust and dried on spills exist under there.
It has never occurred to me to soak my fridge shelves in the bath! I have always washed them in the sink which always results in water everywhere!!! I just love your cleaning tips. Thank you.
Must use kitchen sink if no bathtub for soaking😊Maybe use a large bin for soaking in shower.
Love your attention to detail
Your videos are excellent.
Thank you :)
Some of the tools in my cleaning arsenal are Qtips and Toothpicks. They can get into areas that even Toothbrushes can't get into sometimes
What do you use for disinfecting the fridge tho? Making sure there aren’t germs? Or does vinegar kill germs?
😂 OMG you broke out the scrubber! You've got a great method of any n all cleaning jobs ☺️ thank you for sharing your expertise. Have a great day 😊
Thanks Maria! You have a great day too :)
The seals around the edge of the doors are often just pressed in and can be removed, cleaned and put back easily. Also gives an opportunity to clean out the grooves they fit into. I also had a freezer where the seal had split at the top and I was able to turn it so that the split was at the bottom.
I love white fridges
You did an excellent job, cleaning it. 👏🏻
So nasty it was, before!
Great job! I really enjoy your channel. The only thing I would add is vacuuming the refrigerant coils underneath (sometimes on the back) of the fridge so the cooling efficiency is better.
Thanks for this video. That’s on my to do list for the weekend.
That fridge looked like a crime scene.
You should see the one I'm cleaning!! 😅😅
Thank you! I’m about to clean my fridge and I don’t know where to begin!😄🙏🏼
I needed this video 👏🏾 I often clean with bleach as my mom thought me but its great to see many different ways to clean up.
Another satisfying clean!
Yay top 59 and top 10 likes and comments. Love this channel. Best to you and your family. Thanks for making this video.
Magic erasers/melamine pads are a god send for cleaning the fridge. Highly recommended.
Thank you! I enjoyed watching your cleaning!
Thanks for watching!
My least favorite job…ever.
This is an absolutely excellent cleaning video. Your cleaning is excellent because guess what your methods actually clean to for significant allergies too. These methods like the drying and your special mix WORK. Perfect.
I love all your helpful tips! Great clean!
Just what I needed!
This is oddly mesmerizing and satisfying ❤
Sir and Clean team, thank you for the great video.
Great video Thanks for Sharing
Holy crap - what a nasty fridge! I live in apartments, so don't have my own fridge. The place I lived in before now had the solid shelves. I absolutely loved those! So much easier to keep clean. I'm here for the exterior and insulation hints. Oh - I never thought about popping off the covers for the screw hardware Sweet! I'm on it!
it would be cool if there were a slightly concave/convex drill scrubber specialized for getting corners.
Thanks for the tip to put some of the things into the bathtub It saved me a lot of time!
The fridge exterior seemed clean (white) enough, then you could see dirty water dripping down! I'm amazed. Wish I had a scrubber.
Good idea! Using the bathtub is a great idea! I will start using the bathtub bc there's more room to clean the refrigerator compartments and glass.
Can the DIY cleaner be used on stainless steel appliances too?
Great question 🙌🏾
"Grime Pull" 😆
Great job ! You inspired me. I ordered the drill brush
Hope you enjoy it!
So cool
Would you use the vinegar mix for the exterior of a stainless steel fridge as well? Thanks for all the help!
Thank-you! Do you have a link to the power scrubber?
I have enjoyed your videos and have learned a lot from you. I look forward to more. (Oddly enough, I have the same kind of refrigerator as the one featured in this video, so it has been especially helpful.)
wow🎉very nice way
I've seen you use the drill brush a lot and I agree it's super helpful! How do you clean that off after use? Just a rinse with water or a mixture?
Yes! I do a rinse with a wet microfiber towel in water and then come through and buff and dry with a microfiber towel to finish!
Will you link the info on where to buy the power scrubber?
Brandon, thank you for the teachings. Question, I was looking at your items on your Amazon page for tools you used I could not find the mops you use. Am I not looking in the right direction? Anyhow, what are the mops you use for the floors?
What if you dont have a bathtub? And can you use a steam cleaner?
I use a steam cleaner on all of it right on the counter as I don't have a tub either.
You can also use a large plastic storage bin as a makeshift mini tub for things like this. The 18-gallon ones are pretty reasonable size to work with and can fit in the shower. It's especially handy if your shower has a handheld head so you can just spray everything down.
How do I deep clean a house full of tiled floors? How do I effectively mop weekly?
What about disinfecting tho and killing germs? What can be used for that?
mentally preparing for what i’m about to do
Would you do a video on how to properly clean window shades? The ones you can't pull off.
We've got one of those double door fridges. Our glass shelf has to sit on a large towel on our dining table in order to be cleaned.
*Tips for ice build up in large fridges, (freezer on bottom), or at least our model type needs this extra care monthly. It's annoying😮💨
-Some of the large fridges have a back panel (inside the fridge) that can be very carefully removed. A bit of the foam might crack off if ice has developed behind the panel, just remember to carefully put foam back in when done cleaning. (You'll know what I mean if you see the ice). We've had to do this twice ourselves, after someone came to service our fridge and showed us what all to do. I advise having someone show you how to service your fridge in person, works better than watching videos cuz most skip important steps.
*It is a long process, so should ONLY be done when needed! This will take around 1 hour or longer. To speed up removal of ice build up use a steamer with a spray nozzle.
Be ready with towels, keep 1 large towel on floor. Prep bags of ice 2 hours prior, or buy 1-2 bags if you cant make ice at home. If you can find one, use a metal rack shelf thing, lol, something like a cookie cooling rack that stands up 2-3in off the table, to use in your cooler, so things that have paper labels dont get soaked from melting ice. Also prevents containers that aren't leak proof from getting food inside ruined, trust me, we learned the hard way and had more to clean after that.
Since our model does not have a thing at bottom of fridge, because of the freezer drawer, it's the back of the fridge where the dust collects. Because it's a back breaker to move these giants, I advise keeping an appliance dolley. If you know what appliance coasters work best for these fridges, PLEASE tell me!
Also, our model has to have the air filter removed before tha back panel can be removed. It's tough to care for these big guys, but well worth it for families. And we took advantage of the amount of space one day, had a cake inside. It was quite a sight because I never had a fridge like this before. Can fit 2 pies just on 1 side of the shelf. Imagine 4 pies on 1 shelf. Or 2 large pies and 2 regular pies, with regular pies in front of the large pies.
Oh, a Kenmore fridge I believe it is.
I keep hearing about the importance of vacuuming the couls in the back of the fridge and also vacuuming the underside of the fridge somehow. I'll have to figure it out before I move out of the apartment.
Great video tip - now does that mean I need to put them to use? I guess so!
This fridge was so dirty. Looks sparkling clean now. I’m cleaning our fridge tomorrow. It’s been a few months so hopefully it’s not too time consuming.
Happy Cleaning to you!
How long did this process take you?
It takes 1-2 hours for me
I clean on a little and often basis. If possible, try not to let the fridge get like that. 😊
I'll never understand why the freezer is always on top. It shouldve always been a pull out drawer on the bottom. I use the tub soakerhod to clean my fridge if theres been a spill that set before I could clean it.
Would love an air fryer video!
could you safely put the shelves in cool bathwater and gradually increase the temperature to warm them up? or is that risking cracks?
Watched the vid with my earphones on so my fridge couldn’t hear. 😅
😂😂😂
I don't know how I got suggested this channel but im for it.
But regarding the video, I have a question: it said to do in the freezer and i was thinking should we unplug the freezer when we do it as well?
What about the coils 🤨
I think because it’s electrical they don’t do it. They don’t want to be responsible if the power goes out or something malfunctions.
@@SJP43 Do you think keeping the coils free of dust will cut down on the amount of power the refrigerator uses?
Then do I need to scrub out the tub?
@@ItalyRomeContacts-ff1iqYikes! I would hope you would clean the tub after!
What ıs that mıx at 3:20 ? Only wınegar or winegar+water mix? Thanks.
The vinegar DIY mix is 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup water, and approximately a tsp of dish soap/Dawn. Hope that helps!
Help, how would you clean shelves where the glass doesn’t come off :(
i am SO glad u didnt eat that eggshell!!! 😅😅❤
The booklet that came with my fridge said to *unplug* before cleaning.
❤
OMG that was nasty. The person that let it go probably won't be watching this video. Basicly, a good cleaner and elbow grease ! We been doing this for over 55 years ! This video should do great on TikTok !! lolol Just say it's a new hack ! While doing this, it is important to clean your cooling coils. They used to be on backside , now underneath. - the worst location ever for dust !
😍
Iscritta 👍
I can’t bring myself to soak my fridge in the bathtub
That’s ok kitchen sink or a plastic storage tub works too!
Can't find a video of you cleaning a freezer 😢
kinda really want to just use a pressure washer :D
What about the freezer let’s see it
You forgot the Vanilla Essence.
Just don’t drop the glass shelves in your sink! I dropped mine, it shattered into a million pieces, and some of them got lodged into my food disposal and seized it up
Expensive fix!!
What about the freezer? 🤨
My cleaning lady took out all the shelves and broke the glass on 2 of them😢. I had to pay$250 to replace it.
Your cleaning lady should have insurance for breakages.
Wow. That was absolutely disgusting; where did you find that fridge, in a fraternity house somewhere. Ugh 🤢
Great job returning it to normal, loved the tip for putting the drawers and shelves in the tub with hot water and cleansers to soak. Thanks for the inspiration; today will. E fridge-cleaning day!
I can’t beleive people put food in a fridge so dirty 🤮.
My “dirty” fridge, looks so clean!!
I just clean it every week, and the spills, immediately. Nothing gets “sticky”.
Yeah, that's at least 3 months of dirt and grime.
i dont have a bathtub😭😭😭
For sticky stuff, try rubbing it gently with a bit of oil first. Works a charm, any oil will do.
Was this the real state of a refrigerator that's is actually used? I can't believe people can live like that, they put food in there! Anyway, good businness for you.
Who actually owns this horrible mess ?
You put your toilet seat and refrigerator parts in your bathtub???🤨🤨🤨
The tub is nice for the availability of hot water and space. Alternately you could clean the parts with a garden hose outside, or in the kitchen sink using the hand sprayer or a cup, but the kitchen will get wet and messy.
Ok. Thank you for your response.@@malnicka41
Whos fridge is that???!!! Theres toads and snakes, rabies and plague likely there. Does that person shower? Absolutely gross
Pls be my husband …
Great video Thanks for Sharing
TIP: Let the removable fridge contents sweat off in a garbage bag. I like to use Dawn Powerwash and Dawn Purple degreaser.
