    I have those holes in my yard too and we think skunks are the varmints making them...we have several around😒
    When I was young, the girls made hula skirts and tops from the willows...or we tried☺
    Thanks Cara💐💐

    I hope you don't regret planting that willow tree. We had one and it dropped twigs CONTINUALLY! It was such a pain to have to pickup stick continually.

    Willow trees are water hogs! That should help your wetness for sure. Nice choice of fruit tress

    My father in law is living in the south of West virginia. They have similiar holes which were from sweet water craw fishes ( i hope i spelled it right). Try to find them in the night with a flash light.. greetings from Overseas! You have such a wonderful Farm

    Major concern for the peach tree is a peach borer. Look up this pest. Have preventative measure to combat this pest while the tree is young. Our peach tree bare root got wiped out 2023. Center stalk was full of grubs. Wish someone warned me this could happen to young tree's. Hope this helps! A Friend told us to dig up some clay soil in a small pail and paint the trunk after each rain with a water clay mix to help combat this pest.

      I am so sorry your peach tree died! So do you use straight clay or do you mix it with anything else? -Cara

      @TheWickerShireProject 2 місяці тому

      @@bluebirdhomestead was told straight clay soil with a little water like a paste near the base ( 2 feet painted bottom ). They can't get through it. Get a heavy rain it washes off and need reapplication.

    Try putting a frost cover on the peach tree.

    I live in Virginia Beach and our yard is full of voles 😑 they have tunnels everywhere. Not sure. Or maybe squirrels?? They like digging too.

    Tropic snow peach sounds very interesting. My coconut ice peach tastes tropical! I wonder if yours has a similar taste

    So happy for you and all of your new fruit trees! Sounds like the planting of the Willow was very well thought out on your part, they love water! I’m glad you planted it far away from your house. We have the same holes in our yard made by skunks at night searching for grubs. Skunks are a good helpers even though they are little stinkers 😁 ~Bobbi 🫶🏼

      Oh how interesting, maybe I need to put up some trail cameras in the yard to see if I can catch the hole diggers in action. :) -Cara

    That is a good collection of trees. I laughed at your little picking you flowers off the peach tree. Oh well, someday you may get peaches! I bought a couple of years ago, 3 Veteran peach trees. They are bred to have frost resistant buds and flowers. This year, they are finally big enough to start bearing. I am so excited! 💖💖💖
