1st great lesson running your own shop. the next person that works for you will value the knowledge you have. . We all value your skills. That is why we watch your videos .
Don't solid mount the back of the gearbox. The engine will twist on it's mounts and tear/crack the solid mount. You need a bit of flex to allow for movement on drive take up for torque reaction.
I agree with the other comments Ben. You can do this and keep striving regardless of all that come and go. Everyone that comes with you will not always stay with you. Keep pushing and stay encouraged. You have a lot of people watching your channel.
The sound and video is better than ever. Ben Peterson of Peterson Restorations is a one man show and his videos are just great. He starts by explaining what he's going to do and then puts his camera on a tripod and goes at it. A little more talk at the end and he's done. Simple and sweet! Go for it Tennessee.
You're doing the right thing by going with the vlog style! I think it is more personal, more down to earth and genuine! Keep up the awesome work dude, I'll be watching regardless! 😁👍
I was a body man for a long long time and I live vicariously through you and your brothers. Little brother you can do time lapses or whatever. We will still be here watching you. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW BADLY I WISH WE WOULD HAVE HAD THAT DENT PULLING SYSTEM YOU HAVE BACK IN THE DAY. THAT DAMN THING IS AMAZING! A SPOT WELDER WITH A SLIDE HAMMER WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT
There's the Ben I first seen years ago~ you actually have the happiness radiance! Absolutely keep doing the vlog style! I have always enjoyed your videos/builds- but most all I am glad to see the real you shine again! KEEP ORANGE CRUSHING IT!
You can definitely do this solo VLOG-style Ben. Audio, video and editing were great here. We all just love the channel and want to see as much as you have the energy to produce. All the love!
You got this man! UA-cam is SUCH a grind....lots of ups and downs and you have also have the stress of building cars from scratch! Take breaks when you need them and enjoy the process! No pressure 😃
Man, I was getting worried already. I dig this new style and if you're comfortable with it, then it's even better. keep it up, man! Don't get discouraged.
I enjoy your channel. It's ok to be discouraged from time to time. It is a lot of work. But don't give up! You are positively impacting a lot of viewers.
Ben. You and brothers direct vLog interaction with subs through camera is excellent!!! Stick with it. Your post production, editing, time lapse is also excellent. Stick with it. Your channel success is how well you vlog & video both together. Stick with it. Mixing both really makes for great changes and a terrific channel. GoonSquad is terrific example how both work together well. Thanks
It would be awesome if one of your brothers would work with you and film. Maybe the youngest one, since others have their channels, you would also have help around builds when needed.
you already sound way more comfortable talking in this format, looking forward to it....time lapse vids are great especially if you do some voice overs explaining what youre up to...good luck man
I like the vlog style as long as there is some type of work actually happening to the vehicle. Not a complaint, mainly more of a heads up… we’re almost 9mins into the video before we actually get to see the work. I understand for individuals new to fabrication and builds… explaining what is about to happen is probably key. Someone like me… 9mins just talk would make me click to something else. I love the Mustang build and that’s the sole reason for me staying with the video. It seems like a trend with all the car content youtube channels. Everyone is explaining the hell out of what they’re doing. Explaining as you are working… that (in my opinion) is the key to keep both new and older fans of the channel in a better position to stay on the videos and watch them fully. Without skipping ahead or actually clicking off to something else. I don’t know? Soundman - Doug Bernards in my opinion has the formula. Entertaining and learning while watching. He is a joker though… you may want to do a little research. But… if you’re not trying to grow or build the channel beyond what you already have. I am happy with that also. I am a fan of your family. Learn quite a bit from tuning in to you guys and your channels. Thnx for your time.
Man, i love your videos. To feel down sometimes is really normal, but just keep moving. I enjoy so much the effort and dedication you put on your builds
Wish i lived over there, I would gladly hold the camera for you. What you need is a co worker with the same values and work ethics as you. Don't you have any brothers who aren't tied up in other channels or projects. Can't wait to see the mustang finished and your knew projects. Keep up the good work. Love the channel.
You’re crushing it man! Just keep making good decisions one at a time, one day at a time. The more mistakes you make the better- we all learn more that way!
Don't you dare even THINK about quitting Benny Boy!!!! Your channel is therapy for me. I need it to get me through the week. I need it to affirm once again that an old man like me can live vicariously through a young dude like you - watch you deal with and resolve all the hassles that arise - and end up cruising around in a 720S at the end of the day.
Damn. F for Marq. You're right Ben. You need to have a passion for cars to be around them and create content for them. It's truly a grind and is not for everybody so it's all good. We understand Marq if he wants to move on and do other stuff with his life. You gonna be aight Ben. You can do it, don't let this to turn you down. You gonna raise up and go thought it. You are a tough kid, Maybe introducing one of the brothers or just melting down 23rd Garage with your Channel and be a 3 headed Cerberus of building cars if you ever need help. The tripod is awesome since you can straight up focus on the cars and not much on acting and stuff The audio is great, the blogging is great, the video is great. Everything is good !
I know there is a lot of stuff going on with you lately. It is great to see you back. Keep working hard and you will make it through. Stay off the wheel till you get it all worked out.
Always room for improvement and I liked the new platform much better! We get to hear more about what you’re doing and hear more about what you’re thinking and your plans 👍🏼
Heyy man just be yourself that's what we like to see and Don't worry what others will think, there's always someone in the world who will hate you, but Don't lose hope because of it because there are more lovers than haters, And we're here to support you, Keep up. we're proud of you 🙌
Noooo Dont quit Ben! To be honest, it was noticeable that you were finding it a little tough. Sometimes it did come across that you weren't too happy and like certain lines were stuttered and uncomfortable. It didn't feel comfortable watching. This flowed man and was just natural! I love to see the progress of all the cars but I know the vision you have for this Mustang, its going to look amazing when its finished! Keep up this style man and please don't stop what you are doing. When times get tough man just remember why you do what you do!
Audio is fine. Nothing wrong with a one man setup, it comes across as more relaxed. Also with 2 or 3 different cars in the workshop there will always be something different going on for you and us! Keep up the good work.
You’re doing a great job on your own so far, kinda diggin the vlog style video. Those coil overs look good in there as does the engine, plenty of room. Keep up the great work 👍👍
Ben,Ben ,Ben chill out change is always good ,after leaving your Dad's shop you have done well ,it takes guts to be on camera, you got this ❤ your channel
Nice to see you back on the channel. You should consider some rubberised paint on the fender liners. When you hit the shock absorber, it resonated. Now imagine rocks throwing around.
Going back to the vlog style is pretty good and sound was spot on 👌 For the transmission mount you could emulate the original frame spurs for the old crossmember and then some tube or box section with a leaf spring bush to be the mount itself. Definitely vlog style. I think most people tuned in for v-tuned which was you and your personality and experience fixing and building these cars. All the extras aren't even needed man.. Keep it up!
Ben, your channel is one of the best on UA-cam. Many of us would like you to take us on your vehicle project purchases and parts runs. You have a lot of high quality and different builds that we love. Can you show us the behind scenes of what it takes to keep a channel up. How you plan your projects would be nice also.
You got me with the McLaren and have watched almost every video since. Keep up the good work. Burning out is real. Can’t imagine the energy it takes to run your operation. Processes and systems help business expansion and sustainable long term success. You have a successful base. Everything and everyone around you should be pull and plug to keep it enjoyable for you and keep it successfully going.
I really like this style! I feel that if you put in a bunch of surveillance cameras with sound you could get a bunch of different shots to add in for different views. Food for thought! Jorge here in Ft Lauderdale, Fl. Wishing you all the best!
V-Tuned, You are a One Man Army Sir ! If the enemy saw you coming, they would flee in terror ! Man, keep it up Sir and don't get discouraged, Every single build has been a journey. You the MAN !
Grass roots is sometimes the best. Getting back to simple and basic can be rewarding. I have just done the same in my business and I feel less stressed. Plus....you keep ALL the rewards for yourself. Keep going how you're doing it. You're doing an awesome job. Maybe consider taking on an apprentice perhaps later on? I don't know what your business structure is but a 2nd pair of hand to hold things and lift things would be handy still.
Glad you've gone back to the vlog style videos. Enjoy this more. You seem a lot less tense on camera and seem to be enjoying your builds again. Only thing sucks is not having an extra hand around when you need it. Anyhow, keep the vlog style and your builds going and I'll keep tuning in.
Think the vlog content is genuinely better, sound is excellent. Yuri is fantastic on screen with you also and you make a potent duo. Have been watching Tavarish, BIFB etc for years and love that you seem to be the most hands on doing things for yourself and learning by doing. Keep it up - Mustang is sick
This way it the best way for your videos. Loved it when you and your brothers got together on that black car. Can't wait to see you take apart the engine. Please keep the channel going.
Ben. Rome wasn’t built over night. We sometimes all need change. And don’t feel pressured to try and live up to anyone else’s expectations, you’re doing great and show us how talented you’re. You inspire all of us to get out , put in work and do great things.
Hang in there! When no one else is around, sometimes we have to find new ways to get things done. You will find a way. Things are looking great seeing that motor in there.
Love the vlog style. Agree with all the other comments, your passion and professional drive is admirable. Others may come and go, don't let that slow you down. Your future is bright. Keep dreaming and creating your best life. Thank you for sharing all of it with us. Big virtual hugs for you. You can do anything you can dream, just keep going!
I think you and your brother would be a great partnership. Your both hard workers and bring different skills to the party. I think the support would be good for you rather than going solo. You then have someone to reason things out with when you have problems or need that that little push in the right direction. Good luck either way, I enjoy watching you.
Your choice to do VLOG style video's is an excellent choice. The video and audio is perfect. Your first one by yourself is great. I really enjoy your channel.
Digging the new content Ben! cheer up man, you just go ahead and do whatever changes are better for you to enjoy this as well as we do, otherwise what's the point?. I can imagine being working alone in your own garage won't help out when you're feeling down (moreover coming from such a big family environment), but I think you got that covered with all the collabs you've done with your bros, maybe you can make that a regular thing? You can tell from their last Lincoln video you guys enjoyed chilling out together. Keep the good work and remember we're all here to have a good time, and that includes you as well !!
Lol. 5 min into the video and I already love the new video format. It feels so much more natural. I would pick your vloging stile over anything you did so far. The video flows so much nicer!
Ben great vlog. I agree with everyone else. You're doing fine on your own. If and when you need help they're alot of your Family and Friends that you can ask. Can't wait until the Resto-Stang is Finished.👍
Do it on your own!! I love your personality. You don’t need anyone else. I’m sure it’s hard work but that’s what will set you apart. Many of us look so forward to your videos. Including myself. You are a rockstar.
I really enjoy watching your show, always have since the beginning. I think that this new format will be great. There are always ups and downs but the passion for your work is what gets u through the slow stretches.
Ben I have been watching you for several years back when you were just doing frame work for Goonzquad. You are fine on your own. Looking forward to seeing the mustang on the road.
Like the "new " style , its is more personal and its given me the idea that whe are connect , so not a great loss and it whas nice to that everything whas fitting very well ! Nice engine and so much room to work on this engine sitting in this car ! Cant wait for the next episode !
10mm FLAT PLATE in the centre with square tube heavy gauge on either side. That way you can keep the original gearbox mount. EASY ! Trucks mount roadranger gearboxes using a similar method with a leaf spring as the rear mount.
I would be gutted if this channel ever shut down. It's great to see a young guy with so much talent, knowledge and enthusiasm. Just keep on trucking Ben. The world is your oyster mate 👍
Been alone is ok because it allows you to get organize on how you want your channel to work. I suggest you get a whiteboard and break the project is logical chunks, pick up and first wash, dismantle and ordering parts, body work, aseembly, paint, interior, etc. Also, target a number of videos per week and push yourself to upload them. Also, email part suppliers and ask for their support. I think the next few months may be challenging, but you can do it.
Good morning, glad to see you out here in SOCAL....I hope your new (vlog) works out as planned, but...whatever you do, please don't quit because I really enjoy what you do, flaws and all!
Thanx to the cameraman and all his work in the past. Wish you best in what you want to do going forward. As for VTuned, you are still on the roll. Every day is a new day... Thanx a mil for keeping strong! Cant wait for tat 5.0 to make some noise :D
You are fine on your own ! And yes the audio is good, you can do this!! And absolutely just be yourself , that is always the best way to be!
Best comment you got this Ben
I agree!!!!👍🏻
1st great lesson running your own shop. the next person that works for you will value the knowledge you have.

Well said dude. The fact that work will go much easier and faster is why we are watching his videos not because of his “acting” skills

Don't solid mount the back of the gearbox. The engine will twist on it's mounts and tear/crack the solid mount. You need a bit of flex to allow for movement on drive take up for torque reaction.
Hopefully he does his research and sees this comment
You can only run a solid tranny mount if you're running solid engine mounts.

Vlog is the way to go Ben. It’s the best. It’s natural and down to earth. Keep up the great work
Agreed. Just keep it simple and create content. No need to overthink it
Like the new format, audio is great. Glad you haven't given up. I can only imagine how hard it is to put out content. Respect!
I can dig the change and the audio is great. Good luck to the both of yah and cant wait for more uploads!! DONT QUIT BRO, YOU GOT THIS
You can definitely do this solo VLOG-style Ben. Audio, video and editing were great here. We all just love the channel and want to see as much as you have the energy to produce. All the love!
The only thing I'd add would be to get a cordless mic so the sound doesn't go up or down as he moves away from the camera.

Like the "new " style , its is more personal and its given me the idea that whe are connect , so not a great loss and it whas nice to that everything whas fitting very well ! Nice engine and so much room to work on this engine sitting in this car ! Cant wait for the next episode !
I like this format better🇺🇸
Keep it up man! I can't wait to see how this project turns out!
For time lapse, look into a motorized camera slider to move the camera side to side over time. It keeps it more interesting than a straight shot.
10mm FLAT PLATE in the centre with square tube heavy gauge on either side. That way you can keep the original gearbox mount. EASY ! Trucks mount roadranger gearboxes using a similar method with a leaf spring as the rear mount.
Sound and pic are great…. You’ll do very well and enjoy doing your own thing on camera I’m sure, could see a difference in you already 👍
Your original blog style is why we started watching you in the first place. You got this.
I would be gutted if this channel ever shut down.
It's great to see a young guy with so much talent, knowledge and enthusiasm.
Just keep on trucking Ben.
The world is your oyster mate 👍
I like the vlog style stang is gonna be sweet. That genuine positive attitude makes the videos more enjoyable for sure
The Mustang is looking great! Can’t wait till it’s done😎
This was enjoyable and the audio is fantastic
Honestly, this style is much more suited to you. Glad to see you are headed back to it.
I love the vlog style. Make sure to have fun with them.
Don’t quit,luv the content
Hi Ben, Make a temporary mount for the trans. Once the ride level is set, the engine angle thru the u-joints to the axle needs to be right.
