      Haha, she has her own channel (not posting a lot lately though, school and all), but I try to feature her flying videos as much as I can. She started flying with 6s configurations, and I was just ready to let her try one of my custom 5" quads. She is very, very careful and I have no trouble believing in her abilities and dedication. Even if she crashes it, I will fix it... you know it. We will do it over and over again :)

    Where did you find the small pink zip ties you used to attach the Vista to the frame?

    • @Seii-FPV

      Princess Auto here in Canada has almost all colors/lengths. I use them just temporarily until my builds are completed, and at the end I replace them with electrical cloth tape. It's amazing since it never leaves any residue nor tacky mess.

    What capacitor did you use? Is there enough room to mount it with the DJI Air Unit or will the space be limited? Looks like it fit well with the Vista.

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому

      I am not sure anymore, since I put a heat-shrink around it. It came inside the package with the Velox V50A ESC. But I do remember it was little oversized one. Still, if you play enough and spend some time planning and organizing components at the back, there is just enough room to keep it upright in between the stack and the Vista unit. That's why I went with kind of spread apart red/black power leads, coming out from the ESC under -45 degrees and 45 degrees angles, respectively. You can see that part at 13:20 sec mark into this video. At first sight, it might look weird, but I knew exactly that huge capacitor will give me trouble if I don't do this. And at the 21:36 sec mark, you can see how capacitor is lodged in between the ESC and the Vista. And here is the full size photo of the product (Velox V50A). If you click on it, you will see the full size image, and scroll down just past the middle, you can see that capacitor. I am not sure it had any other markings on it, except for the ones you can see in this photo: shop.tmotor.com/cdn/shop/files/1.png

    Nice Build. I would not use those cable canals though. They will break after some crashes and in this event they likely cut your motor wires. 🙃 ...speaking from expierence

      Thank you so much for stopping by and taking your time to watch. Yes, I've heard that before, and I have no reason not to believe you. These plastic pieces are not a good option. I am not sure why they don't make them out of something softer, more flexible, like TPU, or even silicone. 2-3mm thick one would for sure still protect wires (which already have silicone coating around them), and at least it would never shatter and additionally damage the wires. This was only my second build (in my first build with QAV-S JohnnyFPV Special Edition frame, I did not use these plastic channels, and I like it better than this solution. I even have these plastic channels on my Cidora SL5 v2.1. For now, I will leave them only because I don't want to de-solder all the motor wires from the ESC. But if they ever crack, I will simply replace those motor wires and redo everything properly. Let's hope I will not crash that bad :)

      Thank you so much for stopping by and taking your precious time to watch it. This is actually "dad's" channel 😊. This video (as few others as well) features my daughter where she tremendously and unselfishly helped me with the voiceover. I have another build up on my channel, and she helped there too. I don't like to talk too much, and to be completely hones, I dislike my own voice, so I've decided to give it a go with hers. To answer your question - Nope, I've never built any quads for customers so far, and it's mostly due to the lack of free time lately (family small business takes up literally 99% of our time).

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому

      Nope, you can see it on the box. It's original Vista Unit with original camera. You can also see there are two screw to hold camera on the camera cage, around 23:16 sec mark into this video. Nebula Pro I used in my 1st drone build (video up on this channel as well), and that camera has only one screw on each side. Original Vista has 2 screws on each side of the camera.

    Can you tell me what distance of of flight in this model. And what maximum height of flight? And can I flight slowly for cinematic footage (like mavic 3)? Thank you for answer

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому

      Distance depends heavily on the Rx ad Tx you are using (type of the protocol, is it ELRS, is it Crossfire, or something else). Maximum height? That should be regulated by the country you are planning to fly in. There are some strict rules and they should be followed. Flying recklessly is never advised, we have to share sky with public transportation as well, and we have to be considerate. A lot of people's lives can be in danger if we don't follow rules, so I would not recommend flying too high. There drones are nothing like Mavic which has simple controls, left-right, up-down. The way we control these machines, is quite similar to how real helicopter controls work. But, of course, if you got the skills, slow, cinematic flight is very possible. These custom build 5" quads are rather wild animals and they are mostly being used for crazy freestyle stunts, but many people use them for cinematic flying as well.

    Am I too stupid or just blind. How do I get the T antenna from the Crossfire in the holder? PLS HELP

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому +1

      It's actually super easy, that's why I completely skipped that part. If you have the same antenna holder TPU, you will notice you can easily spread apart those two sides. CRSF Immortal-T is also pretty bendable. Don't go too far and try to be gentle, but everybody is doing it this way... you will have to (again) very gently bend it to the point when it can simply slide in. DO NOT force it, you may break the antenna. I repeat, it is pretty bendable and forgivable... but like everything in life, you can easily break it if you're not gentle with it.

    • @Pilotkosinus
      @Pilotkosinus Рік тому +1

      @@Seii-FPV Thank you for your reply. That helped me. I have the antenna in the bracket now. ♥

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому +1

      @@Pilotkosinus - Nice! Yes, it's kind of finicky, but if you bend it slowly, real slow, it's incredible how much it's actually possible to bend that antenna. Naturally, it's expected, since quads crash, and they crash a lot. Good job!

    This foam should be under vista, not around

    • @UberRuthlessOld
      @UberRuthlessOld Рік тому

      This is to isolate vista from bottom and make a space for capacitor. Take a look on assembled Mark5

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому

      Even though anyone can make it the way you want, it's totally up to you if you even want to use that foam. Many people will never even use it. Second - that foam is so floppy, it will never stay put under the Vista unit without gluing it for the bottom carbon plate. If you ever tried this, you'd know what I'm talking about. I mount my Vista using soft mount, not even screws through 20x20 pattern. It's even mentioned in the video, I used double, double-sided tape. Meaning, two super soft layers of double sided tape under the Vista. Better than any other foam provided. Instead, of putting that crappy foam under the Vista, I used it to protect somewhat those cables from the XT-60 as well as other components. There is absolutely no use for that foam, other than cosmetic. Also, that foam has cutout holes that go right around the Vista or Air Unit. You can't even place your V/AU on the top of it without units slipping in.

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому

      @@UberRuthlessOld - again, I already answered this... Capacitor has more than enough room if you organize everything properly as I did. It works perfect and it's not flopping around, capacitor is protected from all sides just fine.

    • @Seii-FPV
      @Seii-FPV  Рік тому +1

      @@UberRuthlessOld - here is a photo I just uploaded. I've marked the shape of that foam with green lines. Yes, that's exactly the shape of that foam, and it's not even goin under the Vista unit. In this photo, unit is raised only because they installed it on the top of the other wires as well as on the top of XT60 cables, and it only looks like it's sitting on the top of the foam. It's not. I did not want to place my wires under the Vista unit because it gets rather hot at times, and I don't want my wires touching anything hot if it's not necessary. I've routed all my wires to go around the unit, instead of under it. Photo: i.imgur.com/GiFdaOd.jpeg , and here is a photo where you can see the actual foam shape. You can't place anything on the top of it without slipping through the cracks: i.imgur.com/1gwTXz9.jpeg
