Love listening to you all talk about your experiences with Elvis. those that was honored to get to go to an Elvis show. I only have pictures of Elvis but really resent them saying he was fat. Elvis didn't deserve the terrible write ups some of the papers gave this so talented man. Loved your just talking about Elvis. Elvis forever.❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Vicky! And yeah, some of what the press said about Elvis was pretty terrible - definitely a different time, and it's nice to see opinions on Elvis's last years changing for the better!
Great stories from Steve Barile and hearing his concert journeys, from MSG to Philly 77 what a different time. Thank you for these videos, hope you can get others journey's on Elvis concerts. Thank you i really enjoyed these.
Hello Steve, Hello Jamie, Hello John, thank you very much for sharing these stories with us! I could listen for hours and hours…. Greetings from Germany, Thomas.
P.S. from Germany: I have the Phillidelphia Show as a bootleg on vinyl and I agree - it was a great show!!! The next show in Baltimore was a more sad one. Elvis has to leave the stage for about 30 minutes…..
Well, most of us Elvis “junkies” know that the New Haven concert was released by FTD and judging by what he hear from the soundboard, it’s not a very good performance. 😢 We know in Philadelphia that was the show Bruce Springsteen and Steve Van Zandt went to and again, from the boot cd, another weak performance and Baltimore when he walked off the stage. 😢 Great hearing Steve’s concert experiences by the one and only!!! 😊
True, Frankie - though as someone who never saw a show at all, I'd take even the worst one, lol! And we'll have more Elvis world stories with Steve later in the season, too!
Sorry guys, but my o.c.d. kicks in when I hear about "America The Beautiful" being referred to as "America", because those are two distinctly different songs. John, wasn't Elvis' official height listed as 6'0" after he entered the Army? 22:13
I think it was some of the junpsuits Elvis wore...as a long time fan I think the worst were the v neck suit and the Egyptian and prehistoric bird suit...these type of suits were just not good for Elvis' body type then...and too bad his hair style had changed so drastically...sideburns away too long...my favourite hair style was 69 to 75....I saw 34 shows 69 to 76 when we flew or drove to see Elvis from Vancouver Island B.C. Canada....my favourite period of seeing him live was 69 to 71 for the shows (21shows!) I recorded all the shows I saw....I could see a small change happening in 73 when we saw him in Seattle twice....didn't have a chance to see him in 72 as he never came to the Northwest or Tahoe.....I never saw a really bad show....have heard just a few on ftd.....so many Elvis adventures (met him in 67 and 68 in L.A). .😊..my best times were with friends or my husband seeing Elvis in 69 70 and 71 up close in Vegas and Tahoe...a fan since I was 8 in 56....what a ride..🥰..thks for the great shows!!!! 🤗
You are very welcome, Barbie! Yeah, the hairstyle especially wasn't doing any favors in 76-77, sadly. I do like the white Prehistoric Bird, though I also never cared for the V-Neck suit (until I saw it at Graceland, anyway - looks better in person, lol). I know I've said this before, but thank YOU for sharing some of those memories with us! That is SO cool about 67 and 68, and recording the shows!
Another great show with Steve, thank you!
It’s always great to hear Steve tell his stories!
Absolutely, Paul! The more Elvis stories, the better! :)
Great show. Steve is a real Elvis fan, and glad to have become friends in recent years.
Hi, Dennis! 100% - we had a blast doing these shows, Steve is great, and a big advocate for the show, too!

Hi, Thomas! Definitely - hopefully we'll get an FTD release of the Philadelphia show one of these years!

Sorry, Paul! Our bad! And I'll ask John on the height, but you're probably right!
@@EAPSociety Maybe 5' 11.75"
I'd be ok with that, lol - that's my height! 😁
