3 things...in the early 2000s Tower Records by my house had one of the Elvis Christmas Compilations (The one in a long box that you opened to reveal a pop up Graceland at Christmas) in the 99 cent bargain bin after Christmas. I bought ALL of them and was the most popular guy the next Christmas when I gave them out as gifts....Number 2...The bootleg Elvis Souvenir store that used to be across from all the not quite as bootleggy souvenir stores by what now is the mansion tour entrance....had huge teddy bears in Elvis jumpsuits that had a sound chip with Love Me Tender and Cant Help Falling in Love at their going out of business sale for $6...and I bought all of them and gave them away at baby showers for friends for years....and Number 3....Jamie is responsible for me now saying "which is............fascinating" instead of "that sucks" or "what the heck were they thinking" I just to just shake my head silently....but I find his way is more satisfying.
Hi, John! #1, that's cool! Funny about #2, those bears might be ones that have my voice on them, too! And I absolutely LOVE #3! Glad I could help! (And it really *is* satisfying, isn't it? Lol)
@@EAPSociety I am bad with years...but.....these were REALLY bootleggy so they were actually EP. Tower records love /hated Elvis. I bought some of the double features cds in the film canisters for 99 cents.....and the pez dispensers
@Johnmhemp OH! Ok - yeah, everything I did was official products, so definitely no bootleg stuff. 😁 That's amazing about the film canister Double Features CDs, too! I have two set, but can't find either one for some reason!
@@EAPSociety I have collected things without ever being a collector...It came with a square book...and I snipped off the edges to fit into the canister...I know...I know....I used colored pencils to camouflage the blemishes on my TTWII movie poster under glass......My Mother...dumped the booze out of my 2 Elvis decanters...I remember watching her break the label seal turning his head and saying "is that whiskey? I thought...no that is 100's of dollars of value just lost in a couple of seconds. Happy Holidays to you all! You have both been responsible for me dusting off some of my Elvis cd collection and revisiting them....also curating my own box sets of the Nashville Sessions, American Sound,......and my kick butt pride and joy....the Elvis on Stage cd in primo quality but edited and extended like the 99 release thanks to the FTD special features. I have started running this year and went from 300 lbs in February and am currently 175 lbs and still going...Unbeknownst to you I run listening to your archived videos...and of course Elvis. so...wait for it.............Thank you VERY much!
@@Johnmhemp John, that's fantastic!! Congratulations on running and getting healthy - and I'm SO happy our videos are a part of that! Doing that really helps us and the videos a lot, too, and I appreciate that so much! That's great on revisiting the old sets and making new compilations for yourself! Always a fun thing to do. :) And it's all good on the booklets - I'd done things like that at one time, myself. As long as you're enjoying it, that's the important part! Sorry to hear about the decanters, though lots of people did that (at least half of the ones we found are that way)! You are very VERY welcome, John - and Happy Holidays to you, too!
Years ago Lowe's Hardware store had some Elvis items in the store for sale , they stopped that years ago, idea show the items that hardware store use to sale of Elvis.?
Hi, David! Yep - that's the main company I worked with (the one who sold them at Lowe's/etc). They actually only stopped after 2022, but Lowe's didn't carry them the last few years. Which is odd, because they always sold out fast where I saw them! As for why they were in a hardware store, which I also initially thought was odd: Lowes (as well as others like Menards and Home Depot) have been building up carrying a pretty wide variety of seasonal item for years now - Elvis was just a part of that. Lowe's Halloween "Wednesday" (Netflix, iirc) tie-in decorations were pretty incredible this year, like life-size gates to "Nevermore Academy" etc. A Christmas version of the Graceland gates would have been amazing!
@EAPSociety I remember the Elvis porcelain Graceland, and the toy guitar 🎸 ornament had a imposter voice, there was a cloth stocking with Elvis concert picture on it also there was a Johnny cash ornament at Lowes , would be good if these were at least online mail order
Yeah, it's a shame they stopped making the Graceland, because that was a beautiful piece. But their license ended in 2022 and they decided not to renew.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! miniature Elvis SUITS .....DEFINATLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as they appear at G LAND ...!!!!!

The Colonel would've loved all of this!

Thank you so much - glad you enjoyed it! 😁

I would like to see two Christmas Ornaments of Elvis from the movie Speedway. Where he was wearing a blue and red jacket. That would be awesome. 😊
Hi, Donald! I agree, that *would* be awesome!
you guys are having to much fun.😀
Thanks, Jeff! We love getting nerdy about technical details, but sometimes it's nice to just be fans and let the ideas fly! :)
Elvis on his horse that gallops by winding it up LOL
Oh, that'd be FUN! 😁
"Too much monkey business for me to be involved in . . ." ;-)

How about an Elvis doll riding in a remote control golf cart.😀
Oooh, I love that! Maybe the pink and white carts like they had around Graceland (or in "Blue Hawaii")!
