This is probably one of the best interviews. Can't believe Charlemagne wasn't there. Someone below said it best. He is one of the best song writers in the history of music. He has Prince status. To top it off he played the guitar and sang. Unbelievable and unheard of. I still can't believe the view is only 27,141. Today's artist and fans aren't history buffs and don't know the history of R&B and those that are instrumental in making it what it is today. Then on the other hand Birdman's rant got 6M+ views. I remember Babyface before he was ever known as Babyface.
Around 1980 Kenny Edmonds was the guitar player in a band called Manchild.
They performed for a few nights in our hometown of Sumter, SC.
He could sing even back then.
I remember him singing the sing Heartbreak Hotel by The Jacksons, and nailed Michael's vocal parts.
He had it going on back in the day too.
The next time I heard Babyface was when he was a member of The Deele.

@@davidburrows7764 It was an amazing interview! I have stalking this man’s interviews ever since he was on Lip Service (Which I do not watch) but I tuned in because I saw him and Ari and thought this should interesting. IT…WAS…A…BEAUTIFUL INTERVIEW!!!! Not because of lip service but because of Ari and BabyFace. I’ve watch all the interviews from his press run for Ladies Nights and I hate to say it but Lip Service was the best 🥹. Lol BabyFace has been pulling on my heart strings ever since LoL I got a lil crush on him now and all I really want is a hug. He looks like he gives good hugs 😊 LoL

Yes! Definitely check out the Lip Service one! Angela Yee and her friends are only a tad bit annoying in comparison to how worth it it was to see BabyFace open up yet still be low key and laid back and dropped some cool unc jems on relationships and the importance of R&B.

I like the way the host tried to get him to name somebody whose interpretation of his songs he didn't like, and Babyface just smoothly diverted the conversation so as to avoid saying anything negative about any of the artists he has worked with. Not only was that classy, but also quite smart from a PR perspective. The host threw the line out there and Babyface didn't bite. Also, when the host tried to ascertain how much money Babyface was making, Babyface straight out said "nope". lol.

Babyface owned the 90s. Whenever anyone asks about the LAFace breakup Face always hesitates, because it's all kinda deep.😄 Sidenote, a lot of people don't know that Baby Tate is the legendary singer Dionne Farris' daughter.
