Slifer and Ra are technically Divine Beasts, but I think I heard once that if they were assigned regular monster types Slifer would be Dragon type, Obelisk would be Warrior Type, and Ra would be Machine type.
In the Japanese dub they make it really badass the theme going on in the background and then I think it was Yu-Gi or Ishtar that said something along the lines of "Is he really sacrificing God"
Ra deserves to be on the list. Out of all of the Egyptian God Cards he was probably the hardest to defeat. It literally took every monster in Yugi’s deck including Obelisk and Slifer just to finally destroy it. They don’t call Ra the king of the Egyptian gods for nothing.

For some reason, I've always really liked Gandora the Dragon of Destruction. I've had some ideas for new cards. More specifically, new Gandora cards. "Gandora's Stone of Destruction" Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 100 ATK/100 DEF "If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your Deck to your hand." "Gandora's Chick" Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 500 ATK/500 DEF "You can send this face-up card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand, ignoring its summoning conditions. "Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation" Level 8, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster 0 ATK/0 DEF "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand or field to the Graveyard. This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each 'Gandora' monster in your hand and your Graveyard. Once per turn: You can pay half your LP to destroy all other cards on the field, ignoring their effects (card effects cannot be activated in response to this effect). If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your Graveyard to the field, ignoring its summoning conditions." "Rise of Gandora" Spell card "Select 1 'Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation' from your Deck; banish it. During your next Standby phase, add it to your hand." "Gandora's Revenge" Trap card "Activate this card only when a 'Gandora' monster is destroyed by battle. Destroy the monster that destroyed that 'Gandora' monster, ignoring its effects. and inflict damage to the opponent equal to that monster's ATK (card effects cannot be activated in response to this card)."
I appreciate the Yugioh content but it seems sometimes that they are running out of things to make a list out of which people enjoy. That aside...oh yeah! More Yugioh!!!
As someone who watched the first season as a teen, and hasn't watched any spin offs... Is it worth it? Edit: I did rewatch the original series two times when I was older
I would say yes! Tho preferably subbed. The dub voices occasionally work but they're just a little weird nowadays. I'd personally recommend watching Yugioh Zexel or Arc-V. Arc-V doesn't have the best ending but what I like about it is it integrates all the other summoning mechanics before Links(fusion, synchro, xyz, and pendulum) so it's like, the closest comparison to IRL competitive Yugioh, tho "closest" is a stretch to talk about the Yugioh animes.
I get that Blue-Eyes is iconic, I love it too. But really, nothing will EVER top Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, aka the Cosmic Scourge that vaporizes anything in its path!
@@Hynotama There’s more to these dragons than just their usefulness in the real world card game, you know. But I will say that Red-Eyes is on par with Galaxy-Eyes in my opinion.
@@GatorOne-in7hk kinda forgot that Red-Eyes Fusion can also summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, which is stronger than Galaxy-Eyes and also prevents it from activating its effect. It gets more complicated when you consider other forms of these dragons, but it's not just about the dragons. It also depends on how a duelist complements and aids those dragons in battle.
@@Hynotama Yeah. Sadly, the anime didn’t exactly give us the best duelists to represent Red-Eyes. Joey is awesome, but he wouldn’t cut it in the real world. And Atticus also isn’t exactly pro-level. Meanwhile Galaxy-Eyes got Kite, and you watched Zexal, you’ll know he’s on another level. But of course, that’s the anime. Skill level is measured completely differently there than in real life.
Nah not at the moment, it has LOADS of support and you can make a decent casual deck, but it relies on other cards like Rank 8 Galaxy-Eyes. All a Blue-Eyes is just a big 3k attack beatstick that's expensive to build because of nostalgia, although it did top a YCS a few years ago. Rokket Dragon Link is one of the best decks out at the moment but it uses Borreload Dragons (among a shit load of other Dragon type cards).
You know this got me thinking, ever since the big crossover with RWBY and Justice League, how about for something better. RWBY crossover with Yu-Gi-Oh, but not doing duelist, instead some characters get spiritual monsters from the monster cards? Examples: Ruby Rose - Red Eyes Black Dragon. Weiss - Stardust Dragon Blake - Dark Magician Yang - Blue Eyes White Dragon (In case people are wondering about Black Rose Dragon, it was originally going to be given to Ruby her mother Summer Rose, but ever since Summer Rose went missing, so did the dragon as well. So Ruby chooses Red Eyes Black Dragon as an alternative and later sees him as her true partner on the journey.
As a semi-competitive YuGiOh player, y'all need to know some things. 1. Firewall isn't a Dragon type, it's a Cyberse type. 2. Firewall Dragon's effect to return is once per copy. 3. His effect to summon from hand is triggered if the monster he points to is SENT to the GY, including if it was sent by a card effect or even used as material for a non-Xyz summon 4. Firewall Dragon is banned due to the 2nd effect because it turned Gouki (the deck shown in the clip with it) into at the time a combo which lead to a field that made it impossible to beat with just 2 cards, as it also involved using Isolde, the Link monster for Noble Knights that's used in all Warrior based decks, Tri-Gate Wizard, the highly powerful and generic tool box that is the Knightmare lineup, with Knightmare Goblin being the first to go simply because it did too much. Then Firewall got banned. That killed the deck. You couldn't even special summon anything due to the monster they put on your field. The worst of it all was having to wait until a deck set, otherwise you're looking at opening Enemy Controller plus Evenly Matched. Yeah. It was disgusting. Sky Strikers COULD compete with it, but anything otherwise was a sort of "good luck summer duck you're *CENSORED*. kinda day. Tho after they banned Firewall we did get a new monster that would stop that board, thankfully. The combo included sending Phoenix Blade with Isolde, which you'd add back before summoning a Knightmare monster so it was co-linked (arrows pointing to each other) so you'd discard that Phoenix Blade and draw a card, get another summon, blah blah blah. (Edits start here) 5. Cyber Dragon, after a set of 3 decks came out, became another way to help break the board Firewall and Gouki made. You were still generally fricked, as all you could do was tribute over the little one they summoned, clear 2 links, to make a 3600atk monster. 6. Cyber End Dragon was the first monster to be able to inflict damage when attacking a monster in defense, the term for it is called "Piercing battle damage", some monsters deal Double Piercing battle damage, in the actual card game, this includes Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, some say it directly, some don't, like Fossil Dragon Skullgios 7. Two of Odd-Eyes forms are still used in Pendulum decks, Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon is often sent to the GY to summon Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon 8. Red Eyes Black Dragon currently sees play to help summon out Red-Eyes Dragoon 9. The most recent competitive appearance of any Red Dragon Archfiend monster would have been Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss, when Guardragon Agarpain could easily summon it out, when people asked why it over another popular Dragon type synchro, I told them he does not care about chains. 9. Kite actually has his own card!
You what’s interesting people hate characters here in these series because they have plot armor but all fictional characters have plot armor so being mad is pointless.
I pretty much knew Blue Eyes would be #1, and somewhat deserving since it's just as iconic as the Dark Magician, and pretty much set the trend for the other powerful/overpowered dragons on the list. Speaking of which, I pretty much agree with the placements of the others and I'm happy they made the list, especially Stardust at #2. For another YGH centered list, I wouldn't mind seeing a top ten spellcasters list.
I do not understand why Supreme King Dragon Zarc didn't make the list, I think it is the most broken card in the entire series, the reason why is because it's practically immortal if there is just ONE special effect monster, and it may not have too many support cards, but the ones they do have are amazing, like supreme faceoff, where it makes it so no supreme king monster can be destroyed and the trap can't be destroyed either unless its other ability is triggered, if forces the other monsters to attack. It is also immortal if there is a Fusion, Synchro, or XYZ is in the graveyard.
So you had fucking Odd Eyes and Firewall on the list but Ra and Rainbow Dragon are only in the honorable mentions? Bruh you know you don't need to represent every series right? These 2 are easily more legendary than the ones you had on the list.
How the old cards were easier and casual friendlier. Older Monsters: talk 2min about their anime lore and looks. New Monsters: talk 2 min about their endless effects haha
Not really alot of these monster have lore also artwork has lore into it like wars being waged and carding getting corrupted or switching to diffrent teams in artwork of other cards the lore is their u just gotta look at card depictions

And was the Key monster for the first YuGiOh movie every. 8: "The Fang of Critias" While an anime only moster from one of the most devicive arcs in the series, This monsters Ability to fuse with trap cards not only enspired the birth of many inventive card makers, but also set the presadent for mosters to have evolved forms. 7: "Victory Dragon" The only non Anime Monster. The first Match winner monster to be released. It set a trend for all Match winners to be forbidden due to the influence it's effects had outside the curent duel. An effect that shook the entier game to its core. 6: "Firewall Dragon" TSO powerful it's the first ace monster of a series protagonist to be forbidden. THere was much debate if firewall dragon could be forbiden due to Anime plot armor. THis card not only introduced synchros but also changed the game forever by introducing a new summoning mechanic and setting the trend for each spin off series to do the same. Futhermore it's the first moster line to get its own song "Clear Mind" by Masaaki Endoh. 3: "Suprime King Z-ARC/Suprime King Dragon Zarc" THis card is a type of card that fufilled most peoples fanticies even more than Critias, the combining of extra deck types. THis card set the presadent for Konami to release arctypes that dealt with mutiple summoning mechanics and not just one. And even more so in the anime bein ga sort of meta comentary on the divide the gave has created with the itroduction of so many new summoning conditions. 2: "Slifer the Sky Dragon/Saint Dragon - God of Osiris" The god cards are what made the Duel monsters the sucsess it was and still is today. The most notable of the 3 for being Synonomous with Yugi's go to god. 1:"Blue-eyes White Dragon" It's the most iconic monster in the game, more so that Osiris, When someone remebers Yugioh, it will be this dragon. (on a side note Ranbow dragon is cool)
@@dreamnegotiator7647 Yes lmao. The only decent way to summon him is sphere mode and even that's not the best thing to do. Obelisk is just a flat 4k monster, arguably the better of him and Slifer.

I agree. While the original sub will always be better, the dub soundtrack, and the ironic voices, it's pretty good! The only bad part I would say is some of the unnecessary cuts, or just the "invisible" guns
It is a crime that Borreload Dragon didn't even get listed in the Honorable Mentions
Mr Gun fingers.
I know wack
I think all legendary dragon type yugioh monsters deserve a spot on the list
Chaos Emperor Dragon definitely deserved to be on this list.
Yea how the hell is the true Dragon God not on this list
It’s so BA and dangerous that it was banned in real life and in the anime

I absolutely love the thumbnail for this video as it has my two favourite Yu-Gi-Oh dragons.

Yeah.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon was my very first Yugioh card. It still holds a special place in my heart. I still have it actually.
Also, I know there are PLENTY of dragons in Yugioh, but I think the three legendary dragons: Timaeus, Hermos, and Critias should have been honorable mentions.
I completely agree with you on that. Timaeus is my favorite Legendary Dragon

Its pretty badass
i think in terms of design , Galaxy Eyes and Crystal or Clear Wing has the best design

This list mostly reminded me just how much yugioh has changed. So many new ways for summoning!
For some reason, I've always really liked Gandora the Dragon of Destruction.
I've had some ideas for new cards. More specifically, new Gandora cards.
"Gandora's Stone of Destruction"
Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster
100 ATK/100 DEF
"If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your Deck to your hand."
"Gandora's Chick"
Level 1, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster
500 ATK/500 DEF
"You can send this face-up card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your hand, ignoring its summoning conditions.
"Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation"
Level 8, Dark attribute, Dragon type effect monster
0 ATK/0 DEF
"Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 'Gandora the Dragon of Destruction' from your Graveyard to the field, ignoring its summoning conditions."
"Rise of Gandora"
Spell card
"Select 1 'Gandora King the Dragon of Devastation' from your Deck; banish it. During your next Standby phase, add it to your hand."
"Gandora's Revenge"
Trap card
"Activate this card only when a 'Gandora' monster is destroyed by battle. Destroy the monster that destroyed that 'Gandora' monster, ignoring its effects. and inflict damage to the opponent equal to that monster's ATK (card effects cannot be activated in response to this card)."
We already have 3 gandora but I love your idea

Except Red-Eyes. All it takes is a Red-Eyes Fusion to summon a Red-Eyes Slash Dragon and that's all it takes to deal with Galaxy-Eyes.
Finally someone else classifies Firewall and Cyber Dragon as Dragons! 👍
Obviously, the Blue Eyes White Dragon was going to top this list, and apparently, it's still viable in the card game proper today.

Examples:
Ruby Rose - Red Eyes Black Dragon.
Weiss - Stardust Dragon
Blake - Dark Magician
Yang - Blue Eyes White Dragon
(In case people are wondering about Black Rose Dragon, it was originally going to be given to Ruby her mother Summer Rose, but ever since Summer Rose went missing, so did the dragon as well. So Ruby chooses Red Eyes Black Dragon as an alternative and later sees him as her true partner on the journey.
Blue Eyes made the list number 1 hell yeah
As a semi-competitive YuGiOh player, y'all need to know some things.
1. Firewall isn't a Dragon type, it's a Cyberse type.
2. Firewall Dragon's effect to return is once per copy.
3. His effect to summon from hand is triggered if the monster he points to is SENT to the GY, including if it was sent by a card effect or even used as material for a non-Xyz summon
(Edits start here)
5. Cyber Dragon, after a set of 3 decks came out, became another way to help break the board Firewall and Gouki made. You were still generally fricked, as all you could do was tribute over the little one they summoned, clear 2 links, to make a 3600atk monster.
6. Cyber End Dragon was the first monster to be able to inflict damage when attacking a monster in defense, the term for it is called "Piercing battle damage", some monsters deal Double Piercing battle damage, in the actual card game, this includes Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, some say it directly, some don't, like Fossil Dragon Skullgios
7. Two of Odd-Eyes forms are still used in Pendulum decks, Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon is often sent to the GY to summon Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon
8. Red Eyes Black Dragon currently sees play to help summon out Red-Eyes Dragoon
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PLOT ARMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP KAZUKI TAKAHASHI
I pray anyone that sees this is successful in life.
Thanks
Thank you 💚
I pretty much knew Blue Eyes would be #1, and somewhat deserving since it's just as iconic as the Dark Magician, and pretty much set the trend for the other powerful/overpowered dragons on the list. Speaking of which, I pretty much agree with the placements of the others and I'm happy they made the list, especially Stardust at #2.
For another YGH centered list, I wouldn't mind seeing a top ten spellcasters list.
Blue-eyes pretty much transcended Yu-Gi-Oh and it's arguably more popular than the Dark Magician.
Yet, DM's clones save its reputation.

It made links a playable aspect in the early stages but also shook up the meta game even more than victory dragon did.
5: "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon/ Numbers 17: Revice Dragon" THe first Xyz monster to ever be released This 1 monster basicly kickstarted the Zexal era, and created one of the most popular group of card colecters, "Number hunters".
4: "Stardust Dragon" This card is basicly Number 17 and "The Fang of Critias" combined and better.
