@@jeremysmith591 100% agree. As much as I love To The Hellfire, I would rather go to slaughter to prevail for the super heavy grooves and filthy riffs. But when it comes to the symphonic and melodic stuff, I don’t think there’s better deathcore than Lorna Shore.
Austin is seriously such a fucking incredible drummer! This EP is some of the best, if not the best Lorna Shore has ever produced. It's so fucking good!
I met Will in the AWIP days when my old band opened for them like thirteen years ago. This dude is a god damned BEAST, live or recorded, you're getting something special. This track is so cool, check out the second track from the EP, you guys will dig it! Cheers guys, keep it high and tight!
Saw them perform this one, along with To The Hellfire, and Of The Abyss live for the first time ever last Thursday. The fact that they can pull these tracks off so cleanly live is insane. I uploaded a couple of videos from the show to my page if you're interested in checking it out. They've gone from being a deathcore band I didn't really care for, to one of my favorites in the matter of 1 week lol
The organ in the background during the drop and chorus is something else man. Now it's time to complete the trifecta and listen to "of the abyss" by Lorna Shore, the second song of the new EP. It's an absolute facemelter, and there's a really, really nice part of the song that will just rip out your soul, chew it, and spit it out again. Of the abyss might actually be my favorite song of the new EP...
This track has taken me a few listens to appreciate it unlike 'To The Hellfire' which was instant. Really enjoying it now! Wish the ep was longer!! Great video my dudes \m/
To me, this pretty much is melodic black metal sprinkled with some power metal and I love it - Lorna Shore are beasts and Will's voice is probably one of the best, if not the best out there.
Do some songs from Lorna Shore with their previous vocalist. The songs: Immortal, Death Portrait, aswell as King ov Deception. They are absolute bangers aswell
Seriously pretty much the same formula and vib... just a tad bit darker but not really. Idk how to describe the difference/similarities. Kinda different but kinda the same? Lol
Even if it's not for the channel, make sure to check out the one remaining song from the EP that sits between the two you listened to already, well worth it!
Dudes, please please do the other song off the EP, Of the Abyss - it's is the most insane out of the three and you would be doing yourselves and us a huge disservice by not reacting to it. Unfortunately there's no video for it, but it, to me, is Lorna Shore's greatest ever piece of work
So much intensity, melody and emotions in this song.... With this ep, lorna shore has definitly realized a masterpiece and one of the best ever deathcore records. And I think Will Ramos is definitly the best actual deathcore vocalist. He got so much capacities and power, he's doing all the kinds of extreme vocals at its best. And there will be a lot of work for who have the will to write an heavier breakdown than to the hellfire ending. Can't wait to see war in the pit with the demonic pig 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😁😁😁😁😁🐷😈🔥🤘
I was a huge fan of Into the Hellfire but honestly And I Return to Nothingness is exactly what I really wanted. Such pure enjoyable Black Metal sounds, reminds me of the same feeling I got from stuff like In The Nightside Eclipse.
@@Bastuvian Well I'm pretty sure I didn't say it was Black Metal, only that it was more Black Metal sounding than Into the Hellfire where it had constant deathcore breakdowns. Also don't be the person to correct genres, especially with me since I've been listening to Black Metal since 2002.
I have this album, the divine dichotomy, and brand of sacrifice’s record on my new playlist. Pretty good mix of brutality. While I’m on the subject you guys should check out, “A Night In Texas”
Still hoping you guys do To the Abyss by Lorna Shore, Its an absolute masterpiece. I can never pick a favourite out the EP but i do Lean toward that song. You guys will fucking love it!!!!
Great reaction fellow Aussies! Extreme metal needs to be spread throughout all Australia which has been stagnant musically with commercial garbage for far too long. I'm tired of teeny bop drones and their predictable, vapid knee-jerky dismissal of the utter splendour, technicality, grandiosity and talent of this music the second a harsh vocal is uttered. Time to join the rest of the world and give this beautiful, epic extreme music the awe and appreciation it deserves! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Kind of sad when we get to see part of the video for some of your review, but then after a pause, it comes up blurred. I get it though. This is the kind of metal I tend to stay away from cause I can't understand the lyrics, but the music is so freaking good!
Yeah, unfortunately copyright hit us hard. We need to pause it at least once every minute, but when we are enjoying the track or it’s as relentless as this, we either forget or don’t get an opportunity to pause.
To everyone here if you liked this you gotta check out Mental Cruelty’s new album ‘A Hill to Die Upon’ it’s symphonic blackened deathcore and it’s a true masterpiece.
From people's comments, I was expecting some clean vocals in the mix. Nope. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the technicality and musical ability of the band, but their songs kind of all sound the same to me, and I don't like that there's no hook, no recognizable lyrics to sing/scream along to. I guess I'm just not into deathcore/black metal. Totally worth it to watch your reaction for the finger bang comment, though. 😂😂😂💀
This track actually put a tear in my eye, its a masterpiece.
You're definitely not alone. With that orchestra and the key change at the end, it's hard not to get overwhelmed.
Agreed. I actually like it more than To The Hellfire.

This song is so good. I’ve never heard a song so heavy yet.....uplifting.
It’s also comical how this is Lorna Shore “letting off the gas” a bit.
easy the best written metal song of the last decade....
Each song on the EP has a different style of chaos. I love it.
Legit cried the first time I heard this. It's so beautiful. Just incredible.
That double key change gives me full body chills.
True
How is it something can sound so evil yet beautiful at the same time... what a masterpiece.
Johnny's kid seem like the coolest kids every. Especially because they want to keep the "squealy pig bit" on repeat 🤣
Gotta bring em up right 🤘🏽

The power-up in the end is as good as their break down in To the Hellfire! Perfection… ❤️
Damn these guys are crazy! Double key change and that solo was sick🔥
Drum finger blast LOL. Wow, k.
Also, Of The Abyss too is just…😍🥺 never knew Deathcore could hit me in the feels 😂
You can check out the one take vocal playthrough for To the hellfire and Of the abyss now!
I love every single thing about this song. LS puts on a song. Kinda like an entire production in a song. It is literally orgasmic to listen to.
So happy you guys love Lorna Shore! This EP is definitely on my Chaos playlist. The drummer is so amazing I listen back just to gawk at his abilities.

masterpiece

A lot of people seem to be saying the same thing
The synths sound like dark tranquility. It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the members were fans honestly
There is a bit of nightwish influence too on this. I mean dark metal synth choirs and organs.. why not.
I can't recommend enough to listen to the EP fully with lyrics.

I'm opposite lol, I'm not like "To the hellfire" much from first listen, but this song is instant crush.
I’m opposite aswell. To the hellfire is more ’chaotic’ than this one. This has a more of a melodic tune
Good to see you guys enjoying Lorna Shore. The new EP is really good, unlike anything I've ever heard before. It's so Symphonic Blackened Deathcore 😁
