This was Iowa State season in nutshell lol. Oh god this hurt. Glad to see TT is back on the raise. After all this conference realignment stuff, I really root for all the big 12.

This was a frustrating game to watch as Tech outplayed ISU all day, but ISU got a lot of UT/OU treatment for whatever reason. it. In the end, Tech still won with a 62 yard FG as a perfect 'in your face" & we still won.

11:40-11:43 Just casually glance over the fact the student section got cleared out for being rowdy lol. I was so confused when that they asked us to clear the section lol. Never had that happen to me in my 3 1/2 years at Tech.
Nice to hear the student is back to rowdy. Back in 2013 Gary Patterson almost got by something from student section. Got threatened with a 15 yard penalty by the refs so we had to calm down
I have never heard of that happening in the Big10 or other leagues. What's wrong with you guys that you can't have fun without being a nuisance?
@@spacelemur7955 I actually looked back at some footage of the game recently. Someone threw a waterbottle that made it to the 6 yard line on the field.
I understand giving us a punishment but clearing out a whole section was not that the right call. The person who threw the bottle likely didn't get punished. Additionally they just made the already angry crowd more condensed and angry. They effectively just kicked a fire ant pile.
The bizzare thing is that I was apparently close to this person. As I was in the 2nd row and someone would have to be close to me if they threw the bottle that far.

I am an official geezer, in that I went to Ohio State from 1972-76. I worked for the campus police, and one of the perks was getting in all the home games (basketball and football) and watching over a specified section of the upper decks looking for idiots throwing stuff over the railing. In four years I never saw it happen, nor was it ever reported, not even in our big rivalry games.
Maybe these are different times.
But I agree with you completely, the person who chucked the bottle should have been given the heave-ho. Could it be that he was not identified nor would anyone point him out? The latter just _might_ justify the action taken, but that's still harsh.
In grad school at KU, I did see the KU students throw bananas at a black K-State player in Allen Fieldhouse, and I wish they had tossed them all out, or had the courage to forfeit the game. It was the most shameful thing I ever saw with my own eyes in sports.
I forgot how truly awful the officiating was in this game.
I was at this game. There were more than 5 booth reviews shoot maybe 7 that all went Iowa States way.
Tech fans started trashing the field towards the refs.
They got on the announcements and would not proceed the game until the student section was removed from the stadium.

When they tied it I thought it was over we never win in overtime. Went out to do yard work and my wife comes out screaming they wonnnnn haha. It was a celebration by the shed.

Yep and texas tech radio announcers just got suspended for questioning their bad calls. Unreal.

This was some of the worst refereeing in the sport.
I can't believe how hard it is to watch a game I already knew we won. I'll never get over refs in this game. I'm glad Jensen named them they deserve their houses egged. But tech played unbelievable guns up

Got to get rid of these women announcers. She is so annoying.
