Iowa State lost nearly 1/3rd of their starters to an under-age gambling bust, right before the season started. Iowa State winning 7 games is totally ridiculous. If I'm a top d1 prospect, I'm playing for Matt Campbell and Iowa State. Period. I don't care. Iowa State won 7 games with 2-3 star freshman. This is a direct testament to Coach Matt Campbell. This is an absolutely insane moment in sports, to be totally honest with you. Not to mention, K-State has been rolling all year (8-3 vs 6-6) & they're at home.
Matt Campbell is THE most underrated head coach in CFB, no question.

Yeah, how about the missed tackle at 33:20 (replay-- 33:47 ) by the KSU db on the third long run by Sama. He just shoves the player foward!... actually helped guide him toward the end zone!! WTF?? That's the lamest tackle i've ever seen.

Exactly. The transferring is out of control. One of the reasons i loved college ball way more than the pros was that players stayed on the same team.
Nah he wasn’t gonna start anyway. He was battling against true freshman Avery Johnson all season. I agree the portal is really hurting the sport but he was gone no matter what. He handled this situation incredibly and was a very good teammate and leader for Avery Johnson but Johnson is an incredible talent and is the fastest player on the k state roster as a qb. He’s special and will be incredible next season. Will Howard left on good terms.

It's like high-tackling disease has spread through the FBS. And there's no chance for targeting if you tackle low, as well.
