She has sung in around 36/37 languages. She said in an interview that she has sung in Malaysian and Russian. There are even some who say that she has sung in Latin and Dutch! She has sung multiple indonesian and nepali songs.
Yes ,she also sing in ahirani songs
One of the regional language in North Maharashtra
@@kingkpss3046 barobar sangi rhahena tu
She is legend in nepali music
Yes.. In 38 languages.. I have been working on her songs for the last 35 years.
@no 127 I have mentioned Dutch and Russian song in my book Lata Geetkosh.
Kashmiri is a language. One more language u could have named was Sanskrit (often called mother of Indian languages and language of Gods).
Goa's language is Konkani. It is also spoken in Maharashtra.
kashmiri, also known as koshur
Tamil and Malayalam speakers will attempt to fight for saying Sanskrit is the mother of all Indian languages.
The English song Lataji sang is called ‘You needed me’ originally by the Canadian icon Anne Murray. Ms Murray asked Lataji to sing one of her songs at a concert in Toronto on 9th June 1985. Lataji chose this song, a hit for Anne in the mid 1970s. Thank you Guyz for another fitting tribute to our amazing Lata Didi 🙏😘.
Meitei or Manipuri is a language spoken in the northeastern state of Manipur bordering Burma. The language is in the Tibeto-Burman family. Lataji does a great justice to the language and song despite missing a few sounds in the initial. The legend still lives in all these languages.
🙏♥️☺️Thank you for explaining which region Meitei is spoken.
@@roopamenon4751 i bet you know now by current situation
She has sung a few songs for Sri Lankan(Sinhala) films back in the fifty's and sixty's. Her sister Asha had a pop single recently as a collaboration with a couple of Sri Lankan artists Bathiya and Santhush.
2songs in the film Sada Sulan
She was the eldest child in the family. Meena, Asha, Usha and Hridaynath, in birth order, are her siblings; all are accomplished singers and musicians. The elder sister is called as "didi", hence she is called as "didi"
They know her very well
correct
Garhwali is language spoken in uttrakhand and konkan is language spoken in Goa.
FYI, Indian languages have a whole range of respectful gestures, where lata-ji would be the highest, but Indrani failed to mention that "didi" is just not sister, rather it is older sister. Hence it is still respectful, a bit personal and friendly but nevertheless respectful
Kashmiri is indeed a language. Also known as Koshur.
Indrani is unaware of it.
Konkani is mostly spoken in Goa and coastal Maharashtra.
Also coastal Karnataka
True im from Maharashtra but in Maharashtra side thier konkani is different with different dialects malwani etc
Pali, Maithli, Magahi,Bhojpuri are the different language of The great Magadh Empire. Even the teaching of Budha is written in Pali(Prakrit).
Maithili is the language of mithila region..
Even Indians are not aware of all the languages spoken in India.
Maithili is one of the few languages spoken in Bihar.
Dogri is spoken in Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmiri is also a langauge also called Koshur.
Urdu is not much spoken in India anymore maybe some parts of UP like Lucknow. It's mostly spoken in Pakistan now.
I hear Urdu and Hindi are sons of Hindustani.
Western India and Muslims adjusted the Hindustani language to Urdu and Central/Eastern India and Hindus adjusted the language to Hindi.
@@ehinomeokojie5747 yes.. basically Hindustan was one before all the partitions happened. Urdu is an Indian language. Hindi or Bollywood movies have had Urdu lyrics majorly..
Om Shanti - om 🕉️ is a word used to represent the formless, nameless, quality less supreme being. And Shanti means peace.
And meitei is a language from Manipur and pali is an ancient language existed in Buddha 's time
She was known in the industry at that time as Lata Didi but for the rest of us she was Lata ji.
Yes in Goa their language is konkani very similar to marathi and they speak Portuguese too
7:56 OMG I’ve never heard ‘Sagar Kinare’ in Bahasa Indonesia but I love it!
Hi this is Saurabh . I really like your reactions.
Goa has it's own language and you have listened in the same video which you have reached. The language of Goa is KONKANI.👍🏻
I actually discovered Konkani was a Goan language via Josh starring SRK, Aish and Chandrachur.
13:45 Yes, you passed by it with a puzzled expression: It was Konkani
Hey dude Maithili is major Language of Bihar and included in 22 official languages of India.
Still most people just assume bhojpuri is the language of Bihar, and maithili is generally neglected.

Didi is more like elder sister so that "elder" sister gives it that symbolism that she is older and worthy of respect!
Goa's language is Konkani, which is Lataji's mother tongue. She is from Mangesh, a place in Goa
She always claimed to be Maharashtrian but her father was from Goa and Mother from Gujrat region
Yes, Goa has it's own language, it's Konkani and it's also the Native (Family Lanaguage) Language of Lata Mangeshkar along with Marathi. But she was born in a Hindi Speaking state as per today's convention. Indore was very much Marathi since ages..
Meitei is not a language but the people living in the valley (mainland) of Manipur state. The language spoken there is called Manipuri and this is a Manipuri song sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
Mathili Language spoken in part of Bihar..and very sweet language
Bhojpuri, Maithili and Magahi are languages in Bihar.
13:41
Yes Goa has it's own language
#Konkani

CORRECTION: Sadhu Bhasha and Chalit Bhasha are not ‘British English’ and ‘American English’. Sadhu Bhasha is Archaic Bengali and Chalit Bhasha is relatively Simplified Bengali. Languages were often assigned to people of certain castes and across professions.

Unlike in English calling with actual names in India is felt disrespectful and so they add didi, dada, uncle, aunty, bhai, bhayya and even bro
11:15 Pali was a reactionary language established to challenge the hegemony and rigidity of Sanskrit.
“…because the Buddha opposed the use of Sanskrit, a learned language, as a vehicle for his teachings and encouraged his followers to use vernacular dialects.” - Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Sanskrit ki baat hi kuch alag hai best language
Woke spotted 🔥😎
Pali was not established to oppose Sanskrit. Pali is a form of prakrit. It was there before Buddha. Ofcourse Buddha promoted vernacular language. It was not bcz of hate towards Sanskrit. There is no evidence that Buddha opposed or hated Sanskrit. He opposed ritualistic religion and priestly class which the bhakthi movement also did. It is pretty certain that he used sankrit also.He wanted his ideas to reach common people that is why he spoke pali more. It is not as u woke people want to propogate, Buddha didn't oppose Vedas. He didn't believed and promoted the idea that Vedas are supreme authority. And he rejected ritualistic religion. There is no evidence that Buddha opposed Vedas or Upanishads ( ie he spoke against them). And these things like rejecting god, didn't believe in supreme authority of Vedas, reject ritualistic religion are all done by many other Hindu sects during and before the time of Buddha. Like sankhyas didn't believe in god.
And reviver of modern Buddhism in India Dr Ambedkar didn't had that hate towards Sanskrit and he even wanted to revive it and make our connecting language. Hating a language just bcz of its alleged connection to the religion or identity u hate is just the wokest woke thing to do. Reconsider it.
Pali was the common man's language. The Buddha chose it over the elite Sanskrit because he aimed to preach to everyone.
Please watch the movie Kanthara
