The English song Lataji sang is called ‘You needed me’ originally by the Canadian icon Anne Murray. Ms Murray asked Lataji to sing one of her songs at a concert in Toronto on 9th June 1985. Lataji chose this song, a hit for Anne in the mid 1970s. Thank you Guyz for another fitting tribute to our amazing Lata Didi 🙏😘.

Lata Didi pr LataDi is a bit of a mixed bag because before she was referred to as Lataji, she was popularly referred to as LataDi.
So, someone in their 60s, for, e.g. who heard Lataji in her younger days, may refer to her as LataDi.
It would be weird for someone younger, but okay, as they may be subconsciously referring to what their parents and elders may have referred to her.

4:52 There are 2 types of modern Bengali(analogous to Old English and Modern English):
Sadhu Bhasha(Language of the saints)- A refined version, typically used for formal occaisions. Includes a high percentage of sanskrit loan words, being the direct descendant of Magadhi Prakrit(an extinct language). An ordinary man can hardly understand it.
Cholit Bhasha(colloquial Bengali)- Language of the common.
Bengali is quite a refined language, with various versions, dialects and well defined usage systems. People often fail to realise Bengali is spoken over an area as large, or even bigger than the Hindi belt(From Eastern Bihar all the way upto Myanmar).

    2) chalit bhasa: this can be compared with "informal" English, ,,,,,
later,,,,, language spoken by common men changed significantly,,, this is chalit ,,, now a days writers took chalit bhasa as a medium of writing and sadhu bhasa is almost obsolete.
