Since recording this video, we installed the StapPads on the remaining four stabilizers and LOVE THEM. They are nearly half the price as the big red buckets and being permanently attached requires less effort and no storage. We're big fans. Save $10 by using KYD10 bit.ly/SnapPads
We've had them for about 3.5 months, no problems, they do a great job, and they look good! And what I found amazing, we wrote a good review....the company sent us a thank you note with 2 mini snap pads for our drinking glasses!!! We use them every day on our orange juice glasses!
The red Anderson buckets give massive improvement on stability as jack ram isn’t as extended. I was shocked with the difference on my Grand Design solitude
The best thing to do to dogs is to put the dog when it is a pup is to take it to every event that different people are at so it is people friendly, and to go about 100ft off of a shore of a lake and have the dog swim back to shore so it learns to swim, but be ready to always help the dog if you have to.
Your videos where and are a great help as we enter the world of RVs. Prior to purchase we watch your beginning videos and believe we made a smart choice based on your input. We have your set up and take down check list on the storage door and use it every time we move. So far no parts have been left hanging out or loose. As I write this we are at the base of the Rocky Mountains enjoying a cup of coffee and keeping our day dream.
As a Tennessee girl, I never tire of seeing the Smokies, in person or in vids. Your "Moment of Nature" closure was spot on. Charlie's first creek experience: cutest thing ever! :-)
I adore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I’m almost 60 and I’ve been going there my entire life. I live in Georgia, near the mountains. They are my heart & soul. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, I love hearing about them through someone else’s eyes.
I had to smile when you said, “All y’all.” Thanks for trying. Your footage of the Smokies is absolutely fantastic and I always enjoy seeing your traveling videos. Hope y’all enjoy 😊 the rest of your daydream. Safe travels.
You guys are an inspiration. My wife and I are retiring next spring and launching from Gilbert Arizona in our Airstream International 27FB, behind our Ford F250 Diesel. I've been watching since you launched and have been learning (a lot) by watching you grow. I initially came for the travel videos, but stayed for the nuts and bolts of full time RV life. You guys have really got it going on...and have such a great family. Kudos to you for sharing this with the kids. You could never duplicate these experiences in a classroom. Thanks and happy trails!
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is truly a national treasure. We go there every year and it’s always just an amazing experience. From the excellent hiking trails to the abundance of wildlife and waterfalls it’s always breathtaking
We absolutely love the smokey mountains! Our favorite hike in the park was Abrams falls! Grotto Falls was super cool too because we saw a momma Black bear and two cubs right when we stepped out of the car!
Dang my bucket list keeps getting g bigger watching your videos. FYI growing up in Nebraska, anything east of Iowa was the east and anything south of Missouri is the South. So in my humble opinion , Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and the Dakotas is the Heartland. Where you are is the South with Southern hospitality 😄😛
CBS Sunday Morning was a good show, loved the firefly film comparison--lol. (Charles Kuralt was the first host.) Thanks for taking the time to share your travels. Charlie looking good in the water :-)
I have seen all of your videos and have enjoyed them immensely, but I must say I'm LOVING the Charlie! He just makes me smile as soon as I see him. You'll so lucked out with this sweet baby. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos and for helping me look forward to Monday mornings (to see your next adventure).
I liked Tricia's counting tip for breaking down a trail into smaller chunks because I guess I'm really out of shape - those trails are difficult if there's much of an elevation change. I also like the ending view of nature - like the Sunday morning show.
Great video, as usual. Charlie did great in the water! Now you'll never get him out! One of our first camping experiences was in the Smokies in 1982. We stayed in a tent. NEVER again!! They warned us about the bears in the park. All night I heard trash can lids banging. As the sound got closer, I thought, "Here they come!!" Then I heard zzzziiiiiipppppppp . I jumped out of my sleeping bag and shouted, "Tony, there's a bear in the tent!!" Tony calmly said, "A bear isn't going to use the zipper!!" Boy did I feel like a fool when I found out it was one of the kids unzipping their sleeping bag!! LOL!! Safe travels & happy camping! Tony & Monica's Plan B, Michigan :o)
Keep Your Daydream, we’re glad he likes his Detroit Tigers toy and that he still has a couple more to replace the one he has literally “loved to pieces”. We can’t wait to see him with our toy on future videos! I still have the picture you posted with him snuggling with it on my desktop. It makes me smile every day. We have been toying with the idea of getting another dog but watching Charlie makes us happy enough and we don’t have to deal with all the responsibilities of actually having one. Safe travels and happy camping! Tony and Monica’s Plan B, Michigan 😁
Tip from a motorcyclist whose done new handlebar pads: Hair spray also works great for fitting rubber onto metal. It's slick just long enough to get the thing on and then it dries. I've also used Windex in the past, same result. My wife was laughing at the "I'll just throw these on, let's see if it really needs soap" comment, saying that's exactly something I would do. :)
Growing up, every other year my parents would take me and my two brothers to the Smoky Mountains for vacation. The Smoky Mountains have always been my favorite place to visit and holds a very special place in my heart. I hope to get back there again soon. Thank you for sharing some great video and as always you and your family are always entertaining to watch!
We use the Everest tip to swim laps each summer: 2. then 4, then 6. Once we get to the 4th day and can do 8, we add a beer and get to have a sip at the 4 lap mark until we get to 40 laps, which is 1/4 mile in our pool.
Ok everyone, this is the exact way to train a dog! Charlie is a water dog but not all water dogs take to water. Fantastic way to desensitize a dog to being wet and water! Love you guys!! 😍
Your family is so cute and seem so happy!! What a wonderful opportunity to be together through these crucial years. Young and raising a family. Got to see those syncronous firefly's last year. They certainly are amazing. Keep on trucking beautiful family.
ah! We are a soon to be RV family (and will be documenting it on our channel if anyone is interested), we aren't far from the Smokys, such a pretty place!
Hands Down; The Great Smokey Mountains National Park is definitely a 5 on a scale of 1-5. 5 being the Best!!! Absolutely Beautiful especially during the fall of the year when the leaves are changing. No other National Park comes close to The Great Smokey Mountains!! Period!!👍🏻😁🤘🏻🙂 Tennessee is Beautiful and not having to pay too see the Best National Park in America is why Tennessee is the place to come!!! Its also the most visited National Park of all the National Parks in the US!! Tennessee is the "Volunteer State" for a reason!!! Nothing compares too it's beauty, hiking, meeting all kinds of people from across the globe, nature, biking, water falls, Kingmans Dome, and the Awesome Food and friendliness!!!
awesome video of Charlie playing in the water. We like using toys, like throwing a ball or stick to help getting a puppy accustomed to water - this was a perfect place, since he could walk all the way! Nice job!
Being from Illinois (Chicago area) we get down to the Smoky Mt's often. Cades Cove is a beautiful evening drive (very crowded). So glad your enjoying your trip, I know we are. Take care and be safe.
You guys "rock it" as usual. Wifey and I were just talking about your awesome video quality. And your natural and friendly family setting - we feel like we are right there with you. Thanks for 'bringing us along' on your journey. The new rig and ride are what dreams are made of!!
The last time we went to Tenn the bears where breaking into trailers and anywhere for water, they had a bad drought at the time. When your son got off the trolley he thanked the park employee, you have a very polite and energetic young man. I can see why you are so proud of your children.
I had never heard of Pigeon Forge until my wife, Carmen, and I went to Elizabeth Morton Wildlife Refuge on the south fork of Long Island, NY and met a couple workamping there for the summer. They were from Pigeon Forge. Very nice couple. That was before the fires in that region of Tennessee.
Loved Charlie's intro to water. Watch Campervan Kevin's Yorkie Tucker. Looks like Charlie is on his way to being a water dog like Tucker. How was the pie! How was the firefly show?
I found you about four years ago and I’ve enjoyed your episodes and emails right now I am a paraplegic and enjoy watching you every Sunday and sometimes I go back to season one and work my way all the way up to today thank you for your enjoyment
Marc & Trish, I agree the Smokey Mountains are one of only a few parks I actually feel the drive thru is as beautiful as hiking thru! Nice to see Charlie exploring all his new surroundings, plus he is growing so fast! Thanks for another great video production! Safe Travels!
Great video!! And Marc, not that we're keeping score, but Trish was right about needing the soap on the Snap Pads too! LOL Love all the tips and tricks in your videos for hikes, etc....well, just love them all!
I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and we called them lighting bugs. Now I live on the coast of North Carolina and still go home to visit so I get the best of both.
My family and I hiked to grotto falls last March and absolutely loved it. We can’t wait to get back there and hike some more challenging trails. By far, Eastern Tennessee was our favorite trip yet! Love the new Rig and truck. Safe travels from Long Island, NY.
My parents run a campground up in Pisgah National Forest on the NC side of the Blue Ridge Parkway. They love it up there and have been hosting for 3 years now in their 5th wheel. That whole area is beautiful. Trish did great driving on the skinny road to the park, it looked more like a walking path than a road. As always 5 out of 5 stars for your production.
Loved seeing this pop up, we just went to the smokey mountains 2 wks ago for our daughter's spring break. We stayed in a condo in Gatlinburg but went to Pigeon Forge as well. Unfortunately we did not do any hikes or driving tours where you were back then or even Cades Cove. There was a forest fire near Pigeon Forge. We spent our time in the touristy areas. Next time with my hubby and I and our are RV we plan to go back!
The pine tree's put off a gas that helps with the mist. Smokey mountain's are great, I have been there several times and see something new each time. Keep the rubber on the road.
You are in my neck of the woods...Sevierville, TN!! I love the Smokys too! Glad you got to see the fireflies.. :( missed the meet up..maybe next time!!
The Charles Osgood reference was perfect. Having grown up in the North East "Greenery" I miss the babbling brooks and clear cool water. As a kid we used to catch fireflies in our caps and put them in a quart mason jar and set them on our dresser in our bedroom to watch as we fell asleep. Of course they were pretty much dead in the morning, shame on us for that. One thing I do NOT miss is the bugs especially the mosquitoes. Noah messed up big time putting two of those on the boat!! Love you guy and your vids. Thanks for all you do. Jim.
Awesome video and production of your time in the Great Smokey Mountains. You captured the beauty spot on. Love your videos. Trish show us more cooking shortcuts.
I am so glad you guys are getting in to see these fireflies they are amazing. I'm sure other people suggested seeing them too. But glad you took the tip. I lived in southern Indiana in the town of Greensburg and I was out with my service dog walking at night by our woods when I saw exactly this phenomenon. It was absolutely breathtaking. I would come out at night every night to watch those fireflies
Mark, Brah, I hope you appreciate your wife. she is so patient with you. I've been married for 28 yrs and adore my beautiful wife, just hope Trish realizes how special she is. God bless you both as your adventure{s} continue.
The "Smoke" is also from the debris on the forest floor giving off its CO2. Especially thick after a rain. Glad you got to see the fireflies. Many of us locals can't seem to win the lottery. We will camp in Elkmont, though, next June, or hike into the campground. We are nearing our completion of hiking all the trails in the National Park! Only 135 miles to go!
We love viewing fireflies in the summer at night. We camped in south central PA and had a phenomenal evening at a group camp where it was just us and thousands of fireflies in the trees.
Thanks for this video. We love love love the Smokies. We really need to get back. The Roaring Forks area and Chimney Tops are some of our favorite areas!
We were up there in September of 2016, and in November was the Chimney Tops Fire which closed down the Chimney Tops Trail. It took out over 10,000 Acres.
I went twice to the chimney top trail in 2014 with my friends. We climbed up and down the rocks and went farther until we can no longer proceed. The view from there was amazing!!!
Oops, I didn’t finish - the sound on the ending sequence was the perfect relaxation escape better than any sound machine, or app that I have used, very pure. Maybe you should make an app, I would like to buy it for fall asleep sound.
I don't comment much, but I just wanted to let you know how absolutely STUNNING your editing was in this vlog! God's beauty was definitely portrayed through the lenses of your cameras! Stunningly beautiful country! Thank you for your continued sharing, especially for folks like me that are not only wheelchair restricted, but unable to travel much at all due to health issues. Sunday evenings always are full of smiles after watching your vlogs! Happy Trails to you all!!!
Oh I feel so old...on Sunday Morning show, before Charles Osgood there was Charles Kuralt who used to do the ON THE ROAD segment. Those were absolutely the best ever (no one does them much anymore on Sunday) & hubby & I were faithful watchers after we got married. At the end of each show would be a nature segment that somehow always tied in with his OTR. So thanks so much for remembering & sharing. (PS If you get a chance pick up Kuralt's book. It'd be a great tie in to shared travel segment locations 🥰)
When are able to upgrade our full timer 5th wheel, we want the momentum 399th. Such a beautiful rig. Thank you KYD for showing us your beautiful home and opening our minds to the Grand Design Momentum line.
Fire Fly's that was way cool! The pool the boys were swimming in was nice. Good way to teach Charlie puppy to swim! Beautifully green and lush. As always good family humor. Now I know what Derby Pie is! Love pecan pie love chocolate, how many stars was the Pie? You Got my two thumbs up!
Wow!... I haven't had a 22 minute smile since the 70s lol, ty. You all are incredible and your production skills are too. Keeping that rig clean and in pristine condition is to be commended also. Respect for even getting that big beautiful rig from one place to another. Thx for sharing and Happy Camping
I'm so glad you enjoyed the Smoky Mountains! It's our favorite vacation spot and we've been taking our family there for decades. We've hiked all the trails you went on and so many more. We haven't found a bad trail yet and every time we go we discover something new to explore.
My family and I visited the shenandoah national park in Aug 2017 and saw so many black bears. Couldn't believe it, they were everywhere. We loved GSMNP too.
Brevard NC is awesome too. We used to always drive to TN and then realized the amazing hiking in the NC mountains too. :) transylvania County in NC has the highest waterfall count on the east coast (I think... feel free to correct me anyone :)). BTW, love you guys. We have 3 kids and bought a camper when covid hit. We knew nothing and your channel helped us a ton. 1 year later we're over 10 trips in, over 12 weeks total, camping, working, school (virtual) and loving the memories we're making as a family. 💚💚
Round downer--classic. That's my wife to a T when it comes to time. "I'll be ready in 15 minutes" translates anywhere from 30 minutes till hell freezes over. Love your channel.
I thought the smoky mountains were amazing when I rode through them on the train a few years ago. The Blue Ridge Mountains are a pretty awesome hike too. Love your videos. They are always full of good humor and amazing views ☺💗
no kidding, our back yard and the empty area behind it lit up like that for 3 or 4 days one summer out of the many years we lived in our house. It was absolutely incredibly. Looked like millions of these bugs everywhere. I couldnt get any good pictures. Then the rest of the years it was just normal fireflies. That was in Missouri and it got me wanting to go and see this big display but we havent even tried yet.
Super wonderful video. We still watch the CBS Sunday morning show and the closing videos of wildlife and nature are pretty much my favorite part of the program. Your closing on this video rivals and even betters theirs. Thank you for sharing this.
Absolutely LOVE the Smoky’s. I used to go down several times a year and hike. I’m also becoming addicted to your videos and totally addicted to your journey. It’s my dream for sure. Thanks for the great videos
My old stompin’ grounds. Love the Chimney Top Trail. The loop to Grotto is nice. We didn’t see bears but saw lamas coming down from LeConte. Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully in the future you make through Cincy. God bless you guys!
The Smokey Mountains were already on my top-10 list to visit with the family. Thinking that it needs to be promoted to top-5. Thanks for another great video!
Loved the Smokey mountains too, so beautiful., on your hike to the falls those streams have some of the most beautiful native brook trout you will ever see, they are small and so colorful, if your fly fisherman it is so worth the effort to catch them , and release them .just a little f.y.i .looks like Charlie enjoyed the water too. Looking forward to see your next week trip, take care. Db.
Oh, how I love the smokies. I've been waiting for this video, we were there less than a week before, so seeing someone else's take on the same area in the same time frame is great.
My favorite place to Rv camp of all time so far. We have a couple more trips to their within the the next year! This video makes me want to go back now.
Since recording this video, we installed the StapPads on the remaining four stabilizers and LOVE THEM. They are nearly half the price as the big red buckets and being permanently attached requires less effort and no storage. We're big fans. Save $10 by using KYD10 bit.ly/SnapPads
We love having the snap pads on our RV.
We stayed at Creekside RV Park the week of July 20-28. We feel special just knowing that we stayed at the same park that ya'all did.
Just ordered ours.
Charlie stole the show once again. Love that dog!
The best thing to do to dogs is to put the dog when it is a pup is to take it to every event that different people are at so it is people friendly, and to go about 100ft off of a shore of a lake and have the dog swim back to shore so it learns to swim, but be ready to always help the dog if you have to.
Now I know what it is like to be an addict. I can’t wait for my weekly KYD hit. You guys rock.
Lol.
Me too - Australia (Kandanga, Qld)
I look forward to the weekly videos. Can we see more of Charlie?
I've been going up to the smoky mountains for 20 yrs and i must say you son is so brave to jump into those mountain pools, they are so cold.

Have I ever told all you all are my favorite TV show? I love you guys and the quality production!
:) Thanks! We love making these vids and the community too!
Mine too...each Sunday I say “This was my favorite.” I drove from Florida to Alabama today and the soothing water at the end about put me to sleep!
I look forward to Sundays as well. You guys beat church by a lot.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is truly a national treasure. We go there every year and it’s always just an amazing experience. From the excellent hiking trails to the abundance of wildlife and waterfalls it’s always breathtaking
"There's a point where the facts end..." SO good!! Another fantastic video from these two. Also wins the award for the best couple ever.
We absolutely love the smokey mountains! Our favorite hike in the park was Abrams falls! Grotto Falls was super cool too because we saw a momma Black bear and two cubs right when we stepped out of the car!
As someone who lives in the Smokes in TN. I would like to welcome you. It is a magical place.

Can you just imagine that in the fall with all the trees turning? What a beautiful place.
It is, but the crowds take all the fun out of it.
Tricia is a five star personality.
Five stars for sure!
Yeah, you two aren't creepy at all........
Phil Z. You know creepy. The mirror shows you.
CBS Sunday Morning! Loved waking up to dad in the kitchen, brunch, and that show! Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the 5 star hike review!!
We have the side deck on our Raptor, and always use it. It always draws attention at a campground. Best decision ever!
CBS Sunday Morning was a good show, loved the firefly film comparison--lol. (Charles Kuralt was the first host.) Thanks for taking the time to share your travels. Charlie looking good in the water :-)
After a long hard week of work, I love to end the week with a video of my daydream. You guys keep me going. Thanks for everything
We love our side deck, especially during a warm soft rain and early morning with coffee.
Loved this episode you guys are totally infectious and enjoyable, the presentation is professional and top shelf entertainment.
I have seen all of your videos and have enjoyed them immensely, but I must say I'm LOVING the Charlie! He just makes me smile as soon as I see him. You'll so lucked out with this sweet baby. That's great Barry! Thanks.
Great Ep! Smoky Mountains (and Tennessee in general) are Absolutely AMAZING. 100%

Yes! I though the same thing!

There is a reason you guys are so successful. The editing is fantastic. Well done.

My wife suggested taking your last bit of your video and making it a looping video. She could watch that all day!!!
Y'all make my day. The Smoky Mountains remind me of the Olympic National Park. Peaceful and serene.
Great video! Now I want to go there! Thanks for sharing! Safe travels!👍😊🥂
😂3:55 famous last words. “I think it will be fine..”
"Marc.....Marc...." - Trish
Mark, Brah, I hope you appreciate your wife. she is so patient with you. I've been married for 28 yrs and adore my beautiful wife, just hope Trish realizes how special she is. God bless you both as your adventure{s} continue.
Love the Sunday-Morning-esque ending on this one!
Loved this video. My wife and I love the Smokies! Every season is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Aahhhhhh the smokies. Brings back memories of last years trip. So much to do and a photographer’s paradise.
Some of our old stomping grounds. We try and get back to the area when ever we can. Your dialogue and video were just GREAT! Thanks
I went twice to the chimney top trail in 2014 with my friends. We climbed up and down the rocks and went farther until we can no longer proceed. The view from there was amazing!!!
Fabulous! Love how you were teaching Charlie about water! And the hiking footage was beautiful - but the ending sequence Wow! - The sound
Can you make an entire video of just Charlie running and playing? I'd watch that over and over. Thanks for the continued great content.
We were in the Smokies last summer!! Honeysuckle Meadows Campground Sevierville ... The view from our RV was phenomenal!
I hope you guys did Cades Cove....amazing beauty and history
Living vicariously thru you.....I have been lots of places but never seem to slow down and enjoy them the way you guys do.
My old stompin’ grounds. Love the Chimney Top Trail. The loop to Grotto is nice. We didn’t see bears but saw lamas coming down from LeConte. Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully in the future you make through Cincy. God bless you guys!
I like the reviews and that place looks like paradise at least during the warm months. Definitely looking forward to another Zion episode.
Db.
Kingman's Cove or Rainbow Falls Trail are also awesome points to explore in the Smokey Mountains. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg as well
Oh, how I love the smokies. I've been waiting for this video, we were there less than a week before, so seeing someone else's take on the same area in the same time frame is great.
My favorite place to Rv camp of all time so far. We have a couple more trips to their within the the next year! This video makes me want to go back now.
