My wife and I have been through Cade's cove many times but last year was most memorable the week after Thanksgiving we took my father when that area got it's 1st snow, it was beautiful. Thanks for sharing these Alabama neighbors are grateful.
Stunning scenery, terrific heritage and great music! You certainly live in a fantastic place, and I can see you enjoy it, thank you for sharing your beautiful location to this old bugger from the other side of the pond! Please keep up the great work 😊❤
Beautiful scenery. Autumn is spectacular in the Smokies. Enjoyed the ride! I live in TN and found some beautiful land with hills and streams to build a little compound on. Just starting my cabin but have much to learn. Thanks for this video.
I have the horror of being married to a woman who's uncle was one of the family that lived and played in cades cove. The story's that I was told about life there were so touching and special that they changed my outlook on life and what really should matter. Great video keep them coming as it very important these story's be told. Thanks you.
Thank you for sharing the historic sites and beautiful scenery in your area. I live in Kansas where the prairie and flat lands exist. No mountain forests and very few lakes and steams. So again, thank you.
Beautiful video Richard. Love that area. Have driven through the park a few years ago and found it so amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us. God bless you and your family and keep you safe.
I don't think that I have ever been in the Smoky mountains. I have been in the Cumberlands (Monteagle, Tenn). I drove from southeast Louisiana, through Mississippi, Alabama, and then headed west to Monteagle. I have been in the White and Green Mountains of New Hampshire, the Wisconsin Dells, the Sierra Nevada range, and I've climbed to the top of Diamondhead, but I haven't been to the Blue Ridge or the Smoky. With the exception of the Cumberlands, all of my mountain adventures came as a courtesy of Uncle Sam (US Navy). This Thursday, Nov 11th, Veteran's Day, I will be celebrating my 70th birthday! Lord willing and the Creek don't rise. Have a great day and thank you for the tour!
Thank you for sharing this awesome video. I loved seeing the scenery and the history. Videos like this allow people, who would otherwise not be able to experience the area, to enjoy the beauty.
These videos never get old, they give us a reminder of the beauty around us and God’s creations. Thanks for sharing with with us again Richard, it’s been great! Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻✋🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Really enjoyed this video. Nature is just amazing. I remember visiting the Smoky mountains as a child and as we were driving slowly we spotted a mother bear and a couple cubs. I never forgot that.
Absolutely stunning scenery! Words cannot describe what my eyes and heart just watched! Thank you for sharing this great beauty Richard! What a wonderful Creator we serve. I am in awe right now, can you just imagine how much more beauty heaven will be? Much ❤ from Texas 🇨🇱!
Just a beautiful drive you took us through and the scenery is just wonderful , i believe I should have lived in those days , I just can’t get enough of it Thank you so very much .
Thank you for sharing that video of the earlier American past, it was wonderful. I have followed every video from day one of your building. I have alway dreamed of building a cabin in the woods, but at 85 it isn’t going to happen. Thank you.
Larry, Anything is possible! We are so grateful and blessed to know that you have followed us since day 1. Thank you so much for your support, sir. -Jennifer
I love the Smokies! I live in Baton Rouge and I usually get up there twice a year for a week or two at each visit! I enjoyed your video and hopefully I’ll be back up sometime next year when we are through with this pandemic! I really enjoy your channel!!
That was some great footage. I have been in that area a couple times but it never gets old. The old cabins are what amazes me the most. To think what work it took to build them and then how hard folks lived back then just keeping the fire going and their animals living through winter. I grew up knowing how to milk and gather eggs but we had much less difficult living conditions.
I have always loved log cabins, amazed at the craftsmanship that went into building these cabins and barns, this is beautiful, everything is so calm and peaceful, love the grist mill, the great smokey mountains are beautiful, thanks for taking the time to share this video, it's like going back in time, blessings to you and your family.
Great video and we too love visiting all the old sites. Living hear in coastal VA region we get to see some of the oldest US home sites. They are truly amazing.
WOW, what a gorgeous part of our country. I need to travel down to visit first hand. I thought New England had great foliage but WOW, Smoky mountains are gorgeous!! Loved the black smith shop, the grist mill and all the other buildings you showed. When I saw the baby deer nursing on momma, I thought to myself, momma is probably telling her baby “ junior, stop blowing bubbles, your gonna give me gas” 😂😂. Loved every bit of this replay for me. Can you imagine yourself living here back in 1850_1870’s? I’m sure life was harder BUT look how great they’re work was. We have things a lot easier now but quality of products made isn’t as good if you ask me.
Very beautiful there. A few years back my brother in law and I went to the Tennessee/ N. Carolina border to a place called Deal's Gap great motorcycle riding in the mountains
I have visited the Smoky Mountains and always get chills at what God has created. Love your videos. From Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas we love each and every video you share. Every morning I look at my favorite UTube providers and you are the first one I seek.
I watched this video last year and just watched it again, it is wonderful! Your area is very dear to my heart as it was my brother's and his precious wife's Happy Place; they went up (from Florida) every October for many, many years. Mark and I went with them about 7 years ago and they were our "tour guides" and we have wonderful memories of that time all together. I lost my brother to the horrible disease of cancer on June 8, 2021. We are all heartbroken but know he is with his Lord and Savior and no longer in any pain. I so loved watching this video and seeing some of the places we visited. It was bittersweet. Thanks for sharing it again. (Sorry for the longer than usual post.) #SMO #SmokyMountainOutpost #Smoky #Dolly
Very beautiful scenery! My grandparents had a lot of land in Syria Va. in the Smokies. They have been gone a considerable amount of time now. But as a child I spent a considerable amount of time up there. There were two rivers that met in back of their cabin. It was GORGEOUS. SPECTACULAR, and the most wonderful feeling to hike their property! I believe it is now owned by Graves apple orchards. 😪
Love Cades Cove been there 5 or 6 times rode our bicycles around the loop one year. Camped at the campground once when I was a kid and twice as an adult. Anytime I can get up in the mountains we take a ride on the BR Parkway. Great video!
I have had a chance to see many mountains ranges. I have seen the Alps in Austria, the Chisos in southern Texas, the Rockies and San Juan’s in Colorado. The mountains of the mighty five in Utah, Grand Canyon and Monument Valley and parts of the great Alaskan range. All magical in their own ways but the Appalachians is where I was raised and hold the most joy for me. American by birth southern by the grace of god.
Me and my wife have been to cades cove a few times, and we actually used the old dirt one lane, one way road to get out, 8 miles we were all alone going threw the mountains on that little road. We came behind fontana lake.
Smokey Mountains are a special place. Thanks for sharing and stay warm winter is here!

Good morning SMO..I always look forward to our annual trip to the smoky mountains where my wife and I were married ….👍
You need to come see the cabins on the land I have the lease on
Interesting to see different kinds of building techniques that were used in the 1800's
