Castor oil doesn't get obserbed properly when putting it on the scalp. You have to drink 1 to 2 mg a day so it properly works and goes into the bloodstream to the hair.
When you section off and spray your hair with water that will open up the hair shaft to receive the products you want to put on your hair easier cause dry hair doesn't let anything penetrate your hair and that's why it just sits on your hair.

I like using a makeup remover pad (just a dry one), put some castor oil onto it, then dab it onto my twists. Then I put my durag on, and when I wake up they’re super soft, shiny and look juicy af.. It also gets rid of the frizz and lays everything down really neatly. I do the same with olive oil too sometimes and that works but just not as good. Only think I don’t like about Jamaican Black Castor Oil is it does smell pretty strong, unlike olive oil (unless the one I use is different to others. Mine pours orange, when in this video it’s clear?). Like I have to wash my durag every 3-4 days when I used to go around 2 weeks+ without having to. But I won’t deny it’s benefits. My hair is a lot more manageable and I’ve seen way less shedding since applying it to my scalp every 3 days. As long as you exfoliate you’re scalp with a shampoo brush though because it can maybe clog your pores up

@@Vanillacoffee5 just because it doesn’t work for YOU.. doesn’t mean its the same for everyone else 🤦🏽♀️ telling everyone to be careful as if we have the same hair as you.
I don't think you demonstrated or explained how to use Castor Oil. You explained how to infuse other oils into castor oil to maybe heighten the benefits of use. Each person sees different benefits and establishes a routine that works best for them. As an example, I use JBCO from Tropical Isle Living. I add it every 2 days to my scalp AFTER I use a fine mist sprayer and apply Aloe Vera juice to my entire length. Once I do that, then castor oil alone is applied to the scalp and I either massage it with my fingers for 10-15 minutes every other day or every 3 days or I use a scalp massager. Every week I will alternate between a full hair wash using a shampoo and then a co wash using gentle manipulation. On the days before my wash/cowash days, I might add peppermint or tea tree oil to stimulate my scalp. Once every week I may also do a deep condition treatment using JBCO, coconut oil and another infused oil. This has worked for me. Months ago I tried Ayurvedic ingredients and that dried my hair out and it took me about 2.5 months of deep conditioning to get life back into my hair. If you have one great tip that you cannot do without to share, that would be awesome.
I mix them all the time. My trick is to apply all that oil on wet hair so it locks the moisture in your hair. Try spraying your hair with carrot juice and while your hair is wet apply the oil mixes to your hair. Rub it well all over from root to tip. GENTLY TAP DRY YOUR HAIR. Avoid heat and shampoos. Tee tree oil in your conditioner is enough to clean your hair. You can also add soap nuts if you like it to leather a little. Greetings from Bulgaria.

I'm gonna mix mine with nettle leaf tea & rosemary oil. I'm Iron deficient so locking Iron straight into the follicle sounds like a good bet.
I never tried castor oil on my hair. However today I applied some (without diluting -I will dilute next time) then added some conditioner on top. I will leave it for about 3 hrs then rinse. I hope it gives me the results I am looking for. Love your vids especially the tutorials 💛👑
I didn’t know castor oil needed to be diluted. My skin is dry now but it also help remove dark dry patches on my shoulder.
I use it the way you suggest. Mix with a little argan and jojoba with peppermint, tea tree, lemongrass and mandarin essential oil for scent and stimulation.
I use it for moisture because my hair is naturally dry and it works.
I also mix my caster oil with other oils like amla, coconut and olive oil.
yes those oils are great to mix with castor oil
I used it raw for a while and then I add some beard oil into a container with some Jamaican black castor oil, I also use a toothbrush to work the oil deep into my skin all over my beard and hair line. And massage it thoroughly then comb and or brush to suite or I'll just leave it without combing or brushing in the night. But thanks for the advice, it really helped alot.
interestingggg
Can i mix it with Rosemary oil to my hair??
Thank you so much I really appreciate you pronouncing that I'm so new to using castor oil and that's what I was going to do mix all the other oils together with it and then start using it in my hair thank you so so much cuz I do have my hair really thinning and little bald spots from stress and depressed
As long as you exfoliate you’re scalp with a shampoo brush though because it can maybe clog your pores up
I will use aloe vera and rub it in my hair and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Then wash it out with casteo oil shampoo and conditioner. Then I use peppermint oil mix with Jamaican Castro oil by pouring some in my hand and rubbing it in my hair.
Thanks for sharing!! I will try this method.
I was using the black castor oil but the broke out in bad hives and itchy scalp. Now I'm trying the regular cold pressed castor oil without hexane. I figure the hexane may have been a chemical in the product I bought that caused an allergic reaction.
Same. Black castor oil is pretty expensive for a little bottle, in my case. I got the traditional one you're talking about.
@Virtuous Me, What brand were you using?

Would u recommend using it everyday to moisturize?
I like it straight. My favorite mix is bco, jojoba and coconut oil.
Be careful w coconut oil
@@Vanillacoffee5 why
@kash bag i used coconut oil, jbco, vitamin e oil and the a I washed my hair and woke up the next day ....... my hair was soooo dry and matted together in the middle...... never again!!!!! I will be removing coconut oil from my routine. I was really disappointed 😞. I've been on a hair journey for a few months and my hair was finally starting to get back healthy after years of coloring and heat. I feel like I got kicked back 6 steps. Coconut oil is not for everyone 😕
@Svll A if your hair is dry already..... coconut oil will make it dryer

How to Know fake or Original Extra Dark Jamaican Black Castor Oil
I like to use it as a hot oil treatment; mixing it with essential oils and olive oil.
I mix oils together and put it all over my scalp and hair and wrap it and leave it on overnight.
Hey dear do you mean do not heat up the oil before applying...?
@@emagervas4522 no . I meant avoid curling irons and heat styling tools.
As far as the oil, heat the oil Baine Marie style. Not in micro .
I hope that clears up the confusion?
I'm Jamaican as well it was staple added to hair oils when we were kids. Aftet starting relaxing we frequently had hot oil treatments with Castor oil. That was a must between relaxers every 3 months ( yes relaxers were so harsh it was every 3 months until it became every 6 wks). So that's my experience with it for skin care.
I'm currently revisiting by trying to use castor oil packs adding frankinsence oil + jojoba . I have scarring alopecia. Castor oil & frankinsence oil are known to penetrate deep past dermis
OMG your skin is sooo radiant
I have been growing my locs for over 15yrs now. And I really needed to hear this! My hair has become so long and heavy but also dries out quicker and my edges are breaking and thinning due to constantly pulling them back for work. I’ve tried a lot of products with no results. Come find I’ve been doing it wrong lol. Thank You for sharing! I will try this method and share my results!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🙏

I use Jamaican black castor oil tropic isle extra dark on my hair and eyebrows and eyelashes and it has grown all of them a lot . I have thin hair compared to my sisters ( which by the way I’m Latina ) , I usually mix the castor oil with coconut oil when I add it to my hair and leave it over night and wash it out the next day . It has helped so much especially on my baby hairs.
