15 years back, my GF at the time was in Denton for school. I went up to visit her at TWU and I drove to a Walgreens to pick up some cold meds. My truck was making a noise from under it so I crawled under the side to look under there and see if I could find the source of the noise. In less than 5 minutes, there were 5 police cars around me questioning me on what I was doing there and under a vehicle.
They kept me there with the questions until they spoke to my GF and verified I was telling the truth.
Denton cops don't play around.
Good grief it was your own vehicle, I’m assuming registered and stuff to you…. I get being vigilant but that seems ridiculous lol
I had a grinder in my back seat and campus police came to my dorm at 7 am, knocked on my door and told me that my windows were down (it was raining). Just like they have a SA offender registry, they need to have a stalker registry. Sadly, in this particular case, it wouldn’t have saved Jackie’s life, but I believe it could save others. I’m shocked by the level of violence in this crime. My heart goes out to Jackie, her family, friends and community.
Omfg I totally agree with you. There needs to be a stalker registry!!!! I totally have never considered this as an option… you are so right! All stalkers have bad intentions whether they act on them or not. If you are able to stalk another human being you should be taken note of, the same way if you are able to sexually violate another human being you should be taken note of. I hope in the next ten years they’ll make a stalker registry!!
Registered or not, do they tattoo thier crimes in thier forehead, so wouldnt have made any difference
I've never thought of a stalker registry. That's a fantastic idea!! I do wonder if this monster was in jail for stalking, if this poor woman would be alive. It's so sick that you have sooo many people in prisons and jails for petty crimes. Meanwhile, you have someone like this out on the streets. Because, "Oh, the jails are too crowded." Sickening. If anyone is reading this, look up the case of the poor woman, Krystal Evans, who was just gunned down in a court parking lot, after her ex husband was found guilty of charges of stalking her. The judge said whatever, he can turn himself in Monday, and he took Krystal's life moments after, outside of the court house. She told the judge he was going to take her life. And he did. Things are never going to change.

IM SO SO SICK OF HOW OUR COURT SYSTEM HANDLES STALKINF CASES!!!! I’m a true crime fanatic, have been watching true crime cases since I was very little, and there’s a good 50% of these cases were the perpetrator has been caught stalking or following someone before they start killing victims. I don’t understand why stalking isn’t considered a precursor to more serious offenses!!! The fact that there’s no real sentencing for stalking is insane to me. How could someone be following someone else, tracking their every move, obsessively watching and prowling, and that not be a serious criminal offense worthy of at least a couple years? That doesn’t make any sense to me. Almost all people who kill at random are in some form of psychosis. Almost all people who kill with a plan and a purpose plot and stalk and wait until they find the right time to strike. This man should’ve been jailed for stalking his ex. He should not have been left to roam the streets. This poor poor fucking girl man!!! And was anyone else absolutely infuriated by how he kept laughing during the interrogation, saying “I don’t know how I could do that”??? He knows he’s going to jail either way. They have all the evidence they need. Why not try to have even a modicum of decency and come clean?? To deny it and laugh about it… my blood was boiling!!!!
i hope he pays for what he did. she was so young and did not
deserve to die like this 💔
It's a fair point, but there are many professions where stalking is what you do. Background checks for starters. Then there is every corporate security department in America. Then you've got your private detectives, law firms, police detectives, all federal law enforcement, every single reporter, including self appointed internet reporters.
You aren't wrong though, criminal stalking usually leads to much more serious crime.
You need to get a healthier , more life-affirming past time
because it doesnt differentiate between real stalking and say, cyberstalking. it is just another made up charge to get money from people, so why would they care anything past that? and how would they know, when every single case is faultily proceeded based on the defendant being as guilty as possible no matter what and their job is to prove hes guilty without a doubt, so there is really no chance of 'lesser' crime or 'not as serious' everyone is guilty of the same crime (granted violent cases give time based on how bad someone got hurt, usually). that being said there is no differentiation between serious cases and lesser cases, of say, cyberstalking, which both constitute the same law, the person thinks they are in danger, etc, but does not do anything in the case of the killer, who is proceeded through the court in the same manner as someone who say, wrote a mean facebook message.
RIP to another beautiful human murdered by another POS Monster. Why are there so many of these Monsters in the US? I love stories like this but I really wish they weren’t real all the time. 😢
Why are there so many monsters?
Zero accountability, busted and biased, America loathing government, justice system for starters.
We are meticulous about finding killers in the US. Imagine how many absolute straight ckillers are out there in other countries that do not value life as we do or do not have the resources like the US. Crazy right? Now remember all those psychopaths have been crossing over our open borders. Mostly all fighting age men, we’ve seen the videos.
I would be interestd to know how many women get killed avery year in the US as well as the proportion of it among the total population. I guess it's significant.
They are everywhere.
What in the world creates a monster like this?!?!
It would be interesting to investigate his upbringing and his parents.
Drugs, squalor,, and creepy friends and so-called family. Plus you can bet he's a narcissist. ✌🏻
Not his first time! And why the hell is a violent crime against someone a misdemeanor!!!?? Someone who has never hurt anyone, has horrible pain and does heroin in their own home gets a felony and treated like a serial killer yet this guy and many others who hurt people get what? a barely noticeable scolding? Disgusting.
Well the Heroin one is on the war on drugs. In most european countries, addicts get therapy, replacement drugs and living assistance for free.
Why did he only get a mis demeanor? Probably because it was his first offense and he plead down. Most prosecutors allow you to plead down to avoid a costly and lengthy trial, especially for first time offender. IF that is a goodd thing? Probably not but our system depends on it. It is strethched to its limits and 99% of all cases don't go to trial.
Because money based on manufactured issues speaks louder volumes to whoever benefits. People don't actually care about people
@Jartran72 drugs won the war. Government doesn't get taxes on the sale of drugs that makes it mad

Absolutely loved the detective redirection. Obviously he knows what a koi pond is. Him acting oblivious and mispronouncing it I feel was definitely a ploy to make the suspect slip up. And he did! He immediately corrected him by saying “koi pond”… if you really didn’t remember what you were doing, there’s no way you could recognize that he said Kiki instead of koi. And they way he responded seemed almost instinctual, like he hadn’t thought too hard before he said it. And all of his guilt bleeds through in this moment. You can’t say you don’t remember a thing when you obviously remember enough to correct a detective on what, exactly, you said! Brilliant work by this detective.

It has higher crime than 80% of US cities, the crime rate rose 10% in 2022 compared to 2021, increased with homicides from 4 to 7 in 2022 (but it is still low given the overall population numbers). It does rank higher for crime than most nearby cities to Denton, but overall … it absolutely can still be seen as a safe when you factor in the odds in comparison to other cities with the same population numbers.
We met him the Saturday after this happened. He was a bartender. Super charming and you'd never expect this.
Wow! I bet you were horrified when you found out who he was 😮
It's sad that someone has to leave this world that way. What a horrible way to die. RIP. I'm sorry you had to endure such evil.
Thank you for your top-notch videos. Condolences to the family. Greetings from France.
I just want to say I really appreciate this channel. I think it's been put together very well. From the opening song, to The narrator's voice, but most importantly the clarity of hearing detectives during the interrogation process. Every video on this channel is captivating but is also excellent background noise to fall asleep to. And one last thing, the opening prayer they give the victims on every video stands alone regarding respect for the person who has passed and there loved ones
This is such a horrific, tragic case. Rest in peace, Jackie.
What did he do with her heart?
That ranger detective was phenomenal!
R.I.P Jackie ❤🙏
He didn't get anything! This guy is a psychopath and he didn't do it in a fit of passion! He planned everything for a long time.
I really hate it when these True Crime creators put "coming up" spoilers at the beginning of the video. It ruins the suspense and climax of the story.
A gazillion people on earth and you end up in a brick cell because of hurt ego. RIP Jackie
RIP Jackie, my heart breaks for your family and friends and that you met such a horrid monster.
U have such a great voice 😊❤ I love your channel. Thanks for your work, u r doing really good job. I just LOVE IT ❤
The narcissists denial are normally staunch. Responsibility is avoided in every way, regardless of how ridiculous they are.
Not remembering is wild 😂
He definitely remembers
That first interrogator is horrible! Like, top of the tops worst I’ve seen watching true crime. “Tell me, tell me.” Like a whiny high schooler.
Are you an idiot?
He wanted to get him emotional and he did. Set it up perfectly for the "nice cop" to get info out of him
I love your videos and your voice is so easy to listen to. Thank you for all the hard work!
Narrator is next gen AI
No he’s not. In a video recently posted on this channel, in order to squelch the AI rumors and hawk a book he just wrote, he showed his face.

He was my bartender the night before he was arrested. We hung out with him for hours. All he talked about was his ex.
So weird how guys think that disrespecting and ignoring your requests proving they only care about their desires, is a valid way to go about getting a woman back.🙄
Love this channel, so thorough and respectful. My heart breaks for Jackie and her family 😢
Its not safe out there, stay home.
lol, 70% of victims knew their murderers, most of them being family members
Great coverage as always! One of my absolute favorite channels! Thank you so much! 🧡💛❤️
The detective shouldn't be calling this poor woman a "chick". Seems disrespectful but maybe it's just me
He’s attempting to speak in slang and terms to make suspect comfortable and establish a rapport.
^^^ in this particular moment I think he used that language to try to seem like he was on the same idiotic level as this pos.
Just you
You can't know if he uses it in his life. He's interrogating other douche
That was intentional to build rapport with a misogynist IMO
He cannot tell you. Telling you would take bravery, it would take a man. He is neither brave or a man.
I’m terrified for the interrogators children if he has any, I’m sure it’s extremely hard to lie to him because he’s laughing and joking but you know he’s dead serious omg
Creep: "I don't remember killing her" Cop: "Okay then. Let's just take those pesky cuffs off and you go have a nice day."
there you go he corrected the copper when he said remember digging the kiki pond he said koi pond shows he was faking not knowing
Exactly what I thought !
Anybody else hear the killer say after talking bout how little she was that he "counted on that" ?
Whoa.. 😮
What are you insinuating he meant?
He tells his roomates that he was digging a koi pond at four in the morning. Not suspicious at all. 🙄
women are FAR to trusting?
*too
SPEAK FOR YOURSELF
REMEMBER UNTIL NEXT TIME KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT'S LURKING IN THE SHADOWS 🙏❤️
That local pd detective was just garbage. His repeated insistence that there's "no way" was exhausting.
This is so gruesome. The pre-planning is very horrific……..clear resin for a human heart. 😢💔
Quite clear, that this individual is lying. The officer indulges him by saying “you gotta remember” is vexing. There was more than enough evidence to put this abuser away.
Where I live. Was so insane, poor girl.
