Not really crazy, but definitely broken. She needed to feel loved, and cared for, and also to have a "home". She will now be around a lot of women like her, she'll have permanence in where she lives.
If she is released she'll be alone in this cruel world, and she probably wont be able to handle it. For one, having spent her entire adult life institutionalized...unlike other countries the US doesn't offer adequate transitioning.

13:23 I appreciate that you gave this shot some breathing room at the end. Lesser channels would’ve made the cut the moment the officers stopped talking, but you let it play for another second or two, while the Marshall stared off into nothing for a moment. This helped illustrate the gravity of the situation and gave us a peek into the minds of these officers.
It’s a simple thing - giving a scene some room to breathe - but a lot of channels haven’t mastered this. As soon as the dialogue is done they cut. I’m glad you guys chose to leave this moment of silent reflection in the video.

      What's his excuse?
I honestly don't know who is more scary. She is obviously wrong but grew up so warped, I still have some feelings for maybe she could have been okay with BASIC care, AS A CHILD!!
I'm all for locking up predators, forever, when they decided to act like animals killing other people. But this girl, I dunno. I still think she got messed up by society.
And the MAN got mad his Mom wouldn't let him have an under-aged girl living with them, when he was THIRTIES LIVING WITH HIS MOM!! Then went on the run with her.

"Rare" that a woman is a psychopath? Recent claims argue that there may be five times more female psychopaths than previously believed. While earlier research was biased toward males, research from the past decade has proven there are believed to be almost as many women as men that fit that description. Women are usually given the excuse of "abused" or "didn't have a father figure", ect.... and after researching thousands of cases, it's been found many of those women WERE people that fit the term "psychopath".

If mom had given in she wouldn't have had to kill her but then she would have killed the NEXT person who didn't give her what she wanted. So it would have made perfect sense to her to kill the old woman who said no when she said, "Give me your purse." because that old woman should have just given in and given her what she wanted. This is a BAD person and her sentence should have been life without parole.
