I tried this method with goon grease. I though that it would weigh my hair down because it is a very oily and heavy product. However I was blown away at how well it works. I found that by using only one finger tip amount and avoiding placing the product directly to the front of the hair I got lots of volume for having fine hair like me. And I found that this method works best if using goon grease the way I do to hold everything in place with some hairspray
Hey Mike and others i ordered a travel size Matte Clay from Lockhart and i read on their website and it said the matte clay was thick and creamy which was suppose to have a matte finish but when i got mine it was thick but it was not at all creamy it was very hard, kinda waxy actually and had a difficult scoop and has low to medium shine. Can someone explain this for me? Thanks!
James Taylor well it’s hard for me to guarantee that you will be happy with anything, i think they work great so I say give it a go if your interested.
Nick Garcia I never heard of it in these exact steps anywhere before steve told me about it. I even looked up videos from the other youtubers and didn’t find anything, even from ADH who is like the blow drying expert. It’s called the Lockhart method cuz steve made it popular for use with his Matte Clay and it was being discussed on everything Pomade before I became aware of it myself as the Lockhart method. Thanks for watching 👍

Hi, good work! Like your vids! But shouldn’t you use a heat protectant before blowdrying?

Awesome vid as always mike! :)
Did you try it using Cavalier Clay as well, or just Hybrid Clay?

When you said wash it do you mean by using shampoo or just water?
